By this logic, New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, etc. shouldn't have teams.

Dude, as bad as Chicago and all the cities you listed are they don't come close to the corruption and violence of MX with the cartels. I'm sure they would tell their people to not screw with Americans, but as we saw a few weeks ago when they dumped their people who killed US citizens on the sidewalk with a note saying "sorry" mistakes happen.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I would disagree on DE's..  There is a lot of talent at that position

After Anderson & Wilson it's a crapshoot IMO

We’re already playing games in London and Germany, I don’t see putting a team there permanently as an impossibility, and adding proximity teams will only alleviate practicality issues with it. To me the biggest hurdle is the personnel:

Let’s say you’re star SS Brian Branch out of Alabama. Congratulations! You were taken 17th overall, and have earned the right to move to Munich Germany for the next 5 years of your life. How many players is that going to fly with?

Yeah players would be pulling an Eli if they thought they might get drafted to a team in Europe.

Yeah Philadelphia overall is a bit of a fanweather fanbase.  But the stats are clear, the Phillies fans are the most fairweather of all the teams in the city.

So there you are … attacking Philadelphians.  Very classy.

Anthony Richardson is Fing garbage, as a gator fan who had to listen to this BS all season.

He is a horrible passer. Horrible. He has a cannon and can run, that's about the extent of his QB abilities. Can't read a defense, his accuracy sucks, and he has no pocket presence. He had multiple games where he didn't score at all, rushing or passing. Dude is gonna be a JaMarcus Russel level bust if someone takes him in the top 10. He's a day 3 pick

You're ignoring the fact that he wants Richardson to be drafted at 10 to be a WR.

Yeah, and the amount of taxes they'd be paying with the social programs in some of those countries and then having to pay US and state taxes where they live back home....

Many US soccer players go over and play, but that's different. Also throw in major jet lag, which will be different because now both teams are going over at the same time. The 9 hour difference between Munich and SF would be insane, especially to then have to fly back home and play on US time the next week. This is nothing but greed and stupidity on the part of the owners. All of them have more money then they can spend in multiple lifetimes even living like Montgomery Brewster.

How would this even work? Are they going to put them in the AFL, or split the division across both conferences?

This is eventually going to happen. Too much money to be made. My thought is each team will have a home base/facility in the States.

The Phillies attendance graph is strange if you look here: https://www.statista.com/statistics/246783/average-per-game-attendance-of-the-philadelphia-phillies/

2009 - 2011 attendance was ~45,000 fans per game, which is a sellout.

During the down years attendance fell to ~23,000 fans per game, which is quite a drop off.

They year the Phils signed harper attendance spiked back to ~33,000 which is good but well short of what it was in the heyday.  The 28,459 attendance last season is just ... bizarre given how good that team was.  That number was #19, just above the Nationals who had the worst record in the league.  Where was everyone last season?

The first half of the season the average attendance was 27,000~. That means it was 31,000~ in the second half.  If you remember the dialogue during the last two weeks of the season, the polling of fans and talk show hosts alike had the Phillies up to as much as 97% "not going to make the playoffs”. Negadelphian thinking was rampant.

Wouldn't be easier to start in Canada?

Toronto and Montreal don't support football in Canada, and both Vancouver and Montreal have already had professional franchises relocated.

Really thinking Julius Brents is our 2nd round pick.  Big tall lengthy CB who gets to learn from Bradberry and Slay in red-shirt type season.

3rd round would be closer to my thinking.  He has been on the radar screen since just before the Senior Bowl.

No one likes us, and we don't care! (except for one guy.)

I was surprised that @just relax did not have a high opinion of Mauch.  Hopefully he will expand on the sound bite he gave on Mauch yesterday.

Do my best. The level of his competition was really bad, IMHO. F'rinstance, there's a clip where he releases and absolutely buries an LB at the second level. Very impressive. EXCEPT, he blows by a DE (and the voice over talks about how well he did that) but any competent or decently coached DE will give him a shot as he crosses his face, and he'll never get to the LB. The biggest thing, though, is his short arms. Jack Driscoll has all kinds of problems with guys with longer arms and his are longer than Mauch's. Driscoll has better technique, too, and always has had. If you're trying to block a guy with longer arms, he can control you, read the play, and get off you without your being able to get to him. Add to that his arm technique and hand placement. He grabs at the defender's shoulder pads, so his arms are outside the defender's. In effect, that makes his arms even shorter. Like this:

NFL Draft Prospect Interview: North Dakota State OL Cody Mauch

A decent defender will have the inside punch and Mauch will never reach him. A really strong one will hold him off with one arm. The NFL is full of guys like that.

I will acknowledge that Mauch can really run and has a great attitude.

And hey, if Stoutland really likes him, I take it all back, because I am a blithering idiot compared to Stout.

That is a certainty vs. uncertainty issue rather than a player quality issue.  Said another way it is a high stakes crap shoot.

All of this is why I think he's a plug and play at RG though.  As a LT, no thank you.  But on the right side of Kelce/Jurgens.  I'd be on board with that.

Where is our team the weakest right now?  Meaning positional group (besides punter)

Impact DT

The could put Smith at MLB on early downs and use a wide 9 type of scheme on passing downs with Smith and Reddick on the edge.

I am torn on Smith. Great player but we gave reddick in that spot. Can they both play as undersized edge? Or is he depth bc a reddick injury cripples the scheme? Just not sure of the fit but we dont know what desai wants to run really

Special Teams as a unit overall outside of kicker.  Bad coverage, no returners kick or punt and no punter.  Same terrible Special Teams Coordinator too.

Beyind that, pr9bablt LB, Safety and DT.

Where are you getting tickets, parking, food and a beer for 100 bucks? Lol it's 50 bucks just for parking .

Ugh, yes, true.  Parking has gotten much more expensive.  Uber has to be cheaper at some point.

That’s why I think adding multiple teams makes way more sense than adding 1. SF plays a home game, then flies to UK that night and practices in a neutral facility built for visiting teams. Then they stay there for a month, while hitting away games in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Berlin, before coming home.

Would also greatly benefit London, as they could spend half their year on either a homestand or proximity opponents

Proper hand placement in pass blocking. INSIDE the shoulder pads.
