Who was the jury that made that decision?  I suspect your prognostication skills are as poor as your understanding of Quarterback Ratings.

You are much ore tactful than I am.

I would argue that Skoronski does not have the tools, particularly for OT. The other two, yes.

Thoughts on the Maryland tackle?

I understand Quarterback Ratings and Passer Ratings, and the difference between them.

People here often don't.

226 is an excellent passer rating in college.  It doesn't mean you threw the ball often. Morons sometimes don't understand this.

Polomolu was great, people. It’s okay to admit it.

Watched a highlight of him on NFL network recently.  He was indeed a special player.  Deserved all the praise.

Justin Shorter is a Tall WR?  How has no one made a joke about that?  Does he play big or small at the position before his size?

As a PSU fan i was hoping he would do something.  He was a top 20 recruit coming out of high school then transferred to Florida after his Sophomore season..  Everyone was like watch him blow up now.  He didn't do much at Florida either.  Kind or reminds me of Juwan Johnson another pretty high recruit from PSU that did nothing there or at Oregon who has now become a decent tight end for the Saints

In my book the goat for the eagles during my lifetime was Reggie. It's a shame we had the owner that we did or he would have been here for his whole career. The other shame is that gap toothed moron has the sack record and not him.

It's an even bigger shame the record breaking sack was given to him.

Yup

His feet are quick and he can get out of his stance and into pass pro quickly to cut off fastballs, but his hand placement is bad or slow so defenders can get into him for a bullrush or take the uncontested space for an inside move.  Because he's grabby outside of the shoulder pads, I worry he might get called for holding in the run game which is a killer.  These gripes are mostly technique related, so fixable (I'm not sure if hand speed is a trait or a skill).

I was listening to McShay talk about Jalen Carter and he expanded in his character concerns. He said he had poor practice habits, bad effort, talked back to coaches and they weren’t able to coach him hard. He said this came from 7 sources.

TJ Watt actually should hold that record on his own.  They took a sack away from him because one of the sacks he had in his last game was only deemed a TFL — because the QB caught a short snap off the ground, so they deemed it a "fumble” and a QB run.  Absolutely ridiculous call.  Never seen it called that way before or since — much like Tuck Rule

There are people on here who want to TRADE UP for Carter.

So if our coaches can get through to him, JC can be even better! Wow.

The DL was not addressed till the last 2 picks, but was addressed effectively.

We need more picks though. Brents can play safety but I wanted to take Brown late and couldnt.

Also couldnt get Thompson-Robinson or Witt.

2.5 needs unaddressed.

226 on a scale that starts at a minimum score of minus 731.6 and goes up to a maximum score of 1261.6 is 958 points above the bottom.  It is also  1036 points below the top. That puts it below the 50th percentile of the range.  You are arguing that a score below 50 on a scale of 100 is a good score.  You clearly didn’t learn that from your high school teachers.

Further, a score of 226 on the College scale translates to an NFL QB rating equivalent of just over 76.

I'm not saying Rookies can't or don't play. Just that Howie doesn't usually bank on them as first options, especially if the position is as important as HonestNFL bro is making it out to be.

Kelce was a 6th round rookie and earned his job, but he still had Jamal Jackson here who entered camp as the starter. Mills was a 7th round pick, and was in a right place right time in that we were rebuilding, but we still started out with Nolan Carroll and Leodis McKelvin as the starters, they just sucked. Dickerson was actually a high pick but he only played because of injuries. Had Brooks and Seumalo not gotten season ending injuries Weeks 2 and 3, he wouldn't have played.

I agree that he's not going into the draft necessarily banking on a starter.  That has not been his approach at all.  I think the question is whether they value taking a safety higher because they want a potential starter vs. adding another player via trade or FA.  My point is they could add a safety they expect to get playing time with a high pick.  I don't think they are going to go into the season with the current roster at safety.

It may have been lost in my long post arguing why Bijan Robinson makes sense for the Eagles but it's important to note that over the next 2 drafts, the Eagles have 18 picks.  Not only do they have 18 picks, but they have 9 picks in the first 3 rounds of the next two drafts, which is serious collateral.

-3 1st round picks

-3 2nd round picks

-3 3rd round picks (if comp projections are correct)

There is some REALLY good DL talent in next years draft.  Jared Verse is on my very early want list for next year, and the Eagles are going to have ammo to move up and down the draft as they please.

This draft needs to be 100% about BPA, especially in the early rounds.  If BPA is RB, TE, WR and you have to convince yourself why it might make sense to take a DL, OL or someone else instead, go BPA every time.  If BPA is a DL by all means take him.  But they have tremendous flexibility next year to make the moves to get targeted players.

Which one? Duncan gets a lot of press but I like the other guy, Anderson, more, especially at guard and/or center. More powerful. Position versatile. Appears very smart. Duncan doesn't seem particularly strong to me. Doesn't move people whereas Anderson does. If you look at video of Duncan, check out #54. That's Anderson, playing center, guard, and tackle.

Another guy I like a lot, and commented about him to @mattwill some months back, is Steve Avila from TCU, their right guard. He's a masher with good feet.  He gave Mazi Smith all he wanted, and that's not easy.

Was curious to do it so I took some time and went and ranked all of the starting QBs as of April.  Of course some draft picks will replace some of these starters but as of today this is how I rank them:

1. Mahomes
2. Hurts
3. Burrow
4. Allen
5. Herbert
6. Jackson
7. Rodgers
8. Tua
9. Prescott
10. Lawrence
11. Goff
12. Cousins
13. Geno
14. Purdy
15. Jimmy G
16. Murray
17. Daniel Jones
18. Fields
19. Carr
20. Minshew
21. Pickett
22. Watson
23. Stafford
24. Brissett
25. Mac Jones
26. Love
27. Ridder
28. Tannehill
29. Dalton
30. Russell Wilson
31. Mayfield
32. Mills

How do you have Jackson over Rodgers? Tua is better when he's not concussed

Also Watson is way too low

He did line up in the C gap; the most inportant special teams play in NFL history, edging out Vinatieri’s blizzard field goal

I was thinking about his 4 1st team all pros, his all decade team, his multiple super bowls, one of four DBs ever with double digit sacks/interceptions/forced fumbles, his team being top 10 in total defense virtually every season he played….

But I didn’t consider that one play that one time. Maybe my opinion is folly after all

Maybe it is

Just finished watching a video of Joel Klatt’s draft steals.  He mentioned Kendre Miller, who I think would be a very nice pick at #94.  The guy bounces off tackles with contact balance and he always gets the finishing 1-2 yards at the end of his runs.

He also mentioned Ji’Ayir Brown and Jordan Battle at safety; I like Battle a bit better, but they both look like good mid-round prospects.

@just relax, he added Michigan C Olu Oluwatimi in his analysis.  Remington and Outland Award winner, who Klatt said could be either a C or OG in the NFL.  Wondering if you have an opinion on him.  Dickerson was also a Remington winner, but had a better pedigree at Alabama.  Oluwatimi is also not as big — 6’3, 309 I think — but could be an option for a transition to guard like Dickerson.
