NFL Draft this month.

GM Howie Roseman's 1st round draft picks in the last few years

---------------------------------------------
2022 - Trade for AJ Brown & DT Jordan Davis- OUTSTANDING!

2021 - 10th overall pick WR Smity  (Broke Eagles rec record this season and 2nd #1 WR per AJ)- OUTSTANDING

2020- 21st pick WR Jalen Reagor - FAIL - we don't even want to talk about him..

2019- 22nd overall - OT Dillard - Fail on Titans

2017- 14th overall - DE Derek Barnet - decent RE

2016- 2nd overall (Trade) - QB Carson Wentz - Fail I guess? but maybe 2017 SB doesn't happen without his play that season? Even?

2014- 26 overall DL Marcus Smith - Fail

2013 - 4th overall - RT - LANE JOHNSON - OUTSTANDING PICK!

2012- 12th overall - DT COX - Great pick! - OUTSTANDING PICK!

2011- 23 Overall - Danny Watkins - FAIL

2010 - 13th overall - LE Brandon Graham - OUTSTANDING PICK!

-----------------------------------
so 5 out of 11 isn't bad, I mean the draft is a bit of luck too.

3 WRs in the last 3 years, but our WR core is decent maybe replace Quez with WR Johnson.

but OLB, MILB, FS and SS are needs along with RG.

Sydney Brown Safety - to replace CJ Gardner Johnson, see video below of highlights.

Wentz was definitely a success.

I’d say Graham was definitely a hit but it took about 6 seasons for him to actually look like a 1st round pick.

If we want to get technical, we could say Graham was a draft bust and a great FA signing…

He sucked for his entire rookie contract, tested the FA market, and came back here.

I know it’s a weaker draft than most, but man I’m excited for this draft. Not just because we have two 1sts. But I love it when we’re less than 3 weeks away from the draft & we have no idea who’s going #1 overall

I like Bergeron and Duncan as swing, back up tackles.

If I remember correctly @just relax is not at all complementary in his assessment of Duncan.

Penny is getting $1.35M, not $6M.

Opps, my bad. I haven't slept in over 24 hours.
I don't know how I got 6 in my head that's what Miles Sanders got..
This is the problem of quick blog posts, I don't have time to fact check.

He did sack/fumble Tom Brady in the Super Bowl for that reason alone I say OUTSTANDING!

DRAFT APRIL 27
NFL's Lance Zierlein 3.0 Mock Draft

1. Panthers drafting QB Bryce Young
2. Texans DE Tyree Wilson
3. Cardinals DE Will Anderson Jr.
4. Ravens QB CJ Stroud
5. Seattle DT Jalen Carter
6. Lions CB Devon Witherspoon
7. Texans trade up QB Will Levis
8. Falcons CB Christian Gonzalez
9. Bears DE Lukas Van Ness
10. OT Peter Skoronski

However I do not agree that the draft will look like the above, getting ready to put out what I think will happen in a few minutes.

The draft might be my favorite NFL related viewing besides the SB with the Eagles in it.

The details make this deal even worse

1. Carolina Panthers -  QB Bryce Young Alabama
2. Houston Texans - QB CJ Stroud Ohio State
3. Arizona Cardinals - DL Will Anderson Jr. Alabama
4. Indy Colts - Trade -* Colts get QB Lamar Jackson in trade Ravens -  QB Will Lewis KY
5. Seattle SeaHawks - DL Jalen Carter Georgie
6. Detroit Lions - DI Calijah Kancey Pittsburgh
7. Vegas Raiders - QB Anthony Richardson
8. Alanta Falcons -DE Tyree Wilson Texas Tech
9. Chicago Bears - CB Devon Witherspoon IL
10. Philadelphia Eagles - WR Quentin Johnson TCU

Sure I can see CB Christian Gonzalez or CB Joey Porter Jr. due to need at CB depth
or OL Peter Skoromski due to Premium position & Howie prefering to build the lines or even
the arguement of reaching for RB Bijan Robinson behind the Eagles fantastic Oline can you imagine the damage that he could do and the passing opportuinies that play action will open up for Jalen Hurts with Bijan on the team but 10 seems too high for any RB in this draft. I could even see fans argueing for Safety Brian Branch Alabama to replace CJ but Howie never drafts RB, Safeties, LB in the 1st round (NEVER) so..
I could see a trade either up or down as Howie loves to do that, but too hard to predict trades (I did one for the Colts because a lot of talk about Indy wanting Lamar.

Biggest reach so far prior to draft, he's way over hyped and to pay him that much. lol.

Yes, Why?

@LeanMeanGM here’s a wild question for you:

Even though every team is free to sign Lamar Jackson, he’s not TECHNICALLY a free agent as you have to immediately trade assets for him. So does he qualify as a free agent pickup or a trade?

why I ask is would he affect a team’s comp pick formula? You’re effectively trading for his franchise tag rights when you offer him a deal that Baltimore must refuse.

Im lost as to why this is such a bad deal?  Eagles signed Alshon to a 1 year $14M deal 6 years ago.  Not like this is some outlandish amount.  Yes he's coming off an injury but one that was over a year ago and come the start of the season it would be over a year and a half since the injury.

IMO it’s more likely we go RB at 10 than spend a 1st round pick on a WR for the fourth consecutive year, especially another top 10 pick. And we both know we don’t take RBs in the first round.

@Godfather PM’ed me and said you’re hot.

Why I don't think the Eagles will trade up for CB Devon Witherspoon, the way he plays he will get a lot of a penalities  - I reference former Eagles WR Jason Avant & former Eagles DB Quintin Mikell talk show regarding corners that play like him and get  flagged a lot on the next level in NFL. I mean sure if he falls out of top 15 maybe a trade up but not in top 15.
