3. cards— Anderson

4. Colts— Levis

5. Seahawks— Carter

6. Lions— witherspoon

7. Raiders— gonzalez

8. Falcons— Wilson

9. bears— skoronski

10. eagles—

people are dumb and make short sighted decisions then look to blame external factors. Human nature is not new.

You do realize the top 1% in this country account for something crazy like 95% of the wealth and that the gap continues to widen. This is all factual information.

If you're going to draft Bijan trade down and take him, no reason to draft him at 10.

You realize you need a willing partner for that, right?

i see the eagles trading back from the 10th pick to get more picks.

See above.

Robinson isn't going to transform this offense.  But I do like the idea of using a RB more in short-yardage situations and limiting Hurts' exposure.

They seem to be higher on Sermon than we are.  If he can be someone to chew up yards in between the tackles, then the RB room is set.

I’d say that short yardage is not his strong suit.

Must be tough to be a fan when you hate the face of the franchise.

So? Good for them.

I guess we've reached the point where there is nothing left to talk about since it seems like every Eagles podcast right now is talking about Bijan Robinson which will never happen.

Paris Johnson or Myles Murphy (can see Howie pulling the trigger on this one)

Yes, I think this the way I am leaning.

Listened to Johnson on Sirius this week.  He was very respectful, intelligent and is a guy who is willing to put in the work to improve his craft studying film, working out with some of the best in the game (been training with Willie Anderson since he was in high school).    Plus, he started at RG for a season.  Seems like a good pick to solidify the Oline if he is there.

Murphy is growing on me.  Doesn't have the bend that you would like to see at DE but he will be a solid player for years to come.  Only 21 with room to get better.  Would take him over Van Ness any day of the week.

Three types of lies…

Very possible. I wasn’t following the context of your comment, but taken on its face as a stand-alone comment, I stand by my response. There’s such disdain in this country for the rich and successful.

The reality is, the Eagles have 1 backup OT on the roster who was played meaningful snaps and a whole bunch of Johnson's.  Backup OG has some more depth, but it's hardly a deep unit either.  With no FA incoming, the Eagles may as well put a big neon on sign on the draft saying we are taking OL,in quantity.  Safety and LB are also positions that need help.

With that in mind, I'd be very surprised they take Robinson at 10 or 30.  It's more likely that someone will trade up to get Robinson than him being taken at 10.

"Hate” is lazy, juvenile thinking

i think people overlook Hurts obvious limitations in their fandom and thus overrate him

Stats are severely important, is BG a hall of famer because of that sack? No. A (hypothetical) guy who had 400 career regular season sacks and no super bowls would deservedly get into the HOF over BG. It would be ridiculous to think otherwise

Severely important?  Then how did Troy get in first ballot and Dawk not since Dawk had better stats?   Was it because of Troy's hair? Were there too many Hawaiian voters?

Envy makes for convenient excuses. Its not a zero sum game

But doesn’t change the fact that Sunday Ticket is a reasonable price.

Entertainment costs. It depends on how you want to spend your Sunday. 17 weeks at $450 is $26.47 a week. I could golf instead. Ill spend at least $30 a week. I could use a ton of different examples. If anything it’s probably less than a normal Sunday afternoon activity outside the house cost.

Exactly, if it isn't reasonable to you to spend for Sunday ticket then don't do it. I would rather spend my money elsewhere and I'll just miss an eagles game or two and check the highlights later.  In fact if the Eagles or NFL decide to get any more "woke" it might be the absolute end for me anyways.

How many Howie's?

The reasons I've cooled off on Van Ness and other DL at 10 are Jared Verse, who could be a top 10 pick in 2022, Michael Hall Jr. is who everyone thinks Jalen Carter is and Leonard Taylor who is going to be a STUD.  Ohio State also has Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau at DE, who have 1st round potential.

The Eagles have all the ammo in the world to get the guy they want next year.  I'd take all 3 of these players over any of the 1st round DL talent in 2022.

But ..... if the Eagles perform to expectations in 2023, our first round pick for 2024 won't be until the 27-32 range.

With the potential comp picks, the Eagles will have 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd in 2024.  That's what I meant by saying they have ammo to move around to get the player they want. There's also no telling what happens in this draft.  Can Howie work his magic and get a 2024 1st by moving down?  Does Brian Johnson get a HC gig next year giving them potentially 3 3rd round picks?

I read a mock draft yesterday where a team traded up into the first for the Eagles #30 pick to draft Hendon Hooker and get the 5th year option.  In this case it was the Titans, who had taken Paris Johnson Jr at #11.  It'd be nice if the Eagles could pick up an extra pick or two like they did when the Ravens traded up with Howie to draft Lamar Jackson.

If you're the Ravens, though, how do you leave Hooker on the board if he's there at their pick #22?

Howie doesn’t like to sit in a no man’s land and just take the best available. He likes to dictate. It’s why I think there’s a 90% chance he either trade up or down.

I don’t think both cbs will be gone by 10 though, but I don’t think the Eagles would prefer to take one even if both are there anyway.
