I feel like you're taking it too literally. 10 players will be selected, out of a possible 20 that could be deemed "top 10 worthy".

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. There arent 20 players in this draft who might be top 10 picks. Probably more like 14 or 15.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I feel like the only certainties in the top 10 picks are three guys:

Certain — Stroud, Young, Anderson + ONE OF Levis or Richardson

Very likely — Tyree Wilson, Jalen Carter

Likely — one OL, but that could be either Skoronski or Johnson Jr., Gonzalez at CB

I feel like CAR, HOU, IND take QB; not convinced anyone trades up to #3 for one.  The 4th QB will go off later than people think

I believe IND will draft Levis, but who knows?  They’re a terrible organization

Don’t be obtuse.

Reporters are hearing more than 10 guys will go top 10. And teams can be truthful when they say they believe that all of these players will likely go top 10, because so many teams have such different grades on players.

I always was taking it literally because that’s the whole point of our conversation. Every week it’s a new guy "not making it past 10” or some general sweeping statement about how no way this player lasts. Except it’s at the point this take has been said ad nauseam that’s it not making any sense anymore.

TL:DR

Don't like him one bit.  His tape doesn't match his testing at all.  Underwhelming prospect IMO.

I agree. I don’t love OL high this year. At all. I’d be all for RT if there was a worthy prospect at 10 but there isn’t. It’s time to maximize the offense for the current window. I’m taking bijan.

I would say your "very likely" guys are locks to go in the top 10. That would mean six locks, four spots left in the top 10. How many guys are realistically in the mix to go with those four picks?

Johnson, Skoronski, Van Ness, Smith, Murphy, Gonzalez, Witherspoon. I guess we could add a 4th QB if someone were to trade up late in the top 10.  That's 14 guys right there so yeah 20 is a bit of hyperbole.

The real freakbeasts were the QBs we had along the way

they could have put Terrelle Pryor in there instead of Wentz.

Also Justin Fields.

Nice things going well with the giants

$250 plus the cost of YouTube subscriptions which is $62/month for 3 months then $73/month after the promotion

When you buy a youtube subscription,   do you get the internet for free, too?

The way it seems to work now and 20 years ago, is that you paid for the internet, and you looked for websites.   Today,  you pay for internet, and Nflbite is free.

Sunday ticket is something you gave money to directv for. Direct tv provides tv, using a satellite dish, and no internet is required with that. You buy directv,  they give you nfl games, and hundreds of tv channels.  And the hardware to get those games and those channels.   Directv is doing something like beaming content through the skies. And some people still pay for that.  It is tech that works, sorta.

Most of the time I see football on tv, it's on a tv station, there are commercials, etc.  Like normal since before I was born.   Same games,  games that somebody else is paying announcers to announce and crews to broadcast.  None of that is youtube and none of that was directv.  It was nbc, abc, cbs and fox in some combination for decades.       Everything that youtube is asking money for is something that some people somewhere in the US are getting for free over the airwaves with their digital tv antenna.

You clearly never saw how versatile Wentz was in high school when he made his garb shotz video.

What do you think Bijan gives you over replacement? As in, if we split the touches between Penny, Gainwell, Scott, and a random 7th round running back, how much more production do you think Bijan will get us?

Dane Brugler’s safety rankings are interesting. He doesn’t even have Brown as his top safety from Illinois.

Love Penn state brown but I don't know how you put him that high with his 40. Too scary of a projection now.

Quan Martin is a guy I like. Over looked because of Sydney Brown, and Witherspoon in the range secondary. Interesting to see him at 3. Brugler is the first person I've seen to have really noticed him.

Can't believe Sydney Brown is at 10. I remember not too long ago you posted a tweet from someone else saying he would go earlier than people are expecting. Which to me implied late 1st round,  and I was already on with possibly selecting him at 30.

Google is a versatile freakbeast company.  It has a search engine.  It has an operating system. It has the biggest and best video streaming website. It has AI. Now it has the best TV streaming service,  bar none.

Respect Google, a versatile freak beast if there ever was one.   Get youtube TV.

A significant amount. I hold the insane belief that better players bring better play. This line would put him into the second level on a routine basis and compel defenses to scheme away from the passing attack. Yes that matters when you play KC.

Yeah, but what is that exactly?

Does he take our YPC from 4.5 to 5.2?

Penny has averaged over 6 YPC the last two years. Do you expect Bijan to do better than that?

How many extra TDs does he add to the offense over the course of a season?

How many extra wins do you expect to get out of him and why?

I’m not trying to be difficult. Obviously Bijan is a good prospect. But how are you projecting his impact?

If they don't take Robinson because they just don't value the position in the 1st round that's one thing, and clearly there's a lot to back up that thought process.

If they don't take Robinson because they have Boston Scott (who turns 28 this month), Rashaad Penny (18 games over 3 years) and Kenny Gainwell, then that's just plain silly.

Bijan Robinson would be drafted to be the bell cow in this offense and Gainwell would be the change of pace.

On top of having Brown pretty low how about Brandon Joseph. That guy was talked about a potential first rounder last year.

He keeps your offense on the field for x drives you’d otherwise put mahomes back on.

he avoids x TFL and puts you in 2nd and 7 instead.

we immediately have an elite 4 minute/6 minute/8 minute offense to close out leads.

if you want to make the argument that no RB would be worth a 10 in a year with a clear tier drop above that and no blue chip OL available, ok. But we really need to have a debate about whether Robinson is an upgrade over Kenny g and trey sermon?

Yeah, no we do not need to have a debate about Bijan being an upgrade over our current stable, that is just silliness. This guy is being undervalued in here and just being looked at through the RB prism.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons just take Bijan. Their head coach had Henry for years and may want an elite back. They'd suddenly have the foundation of a nice exciting young offense. They'd still need some wideouts and o-linemen, but not too shabby at all. I like Ridder and am curious to see how he progresses.

I expect Robinson to do better than Penny’s 1900 yards and 13 TDs in 5 years. Sanders had 1200 yards and 11 TDs last season. We just lost that production. We need a strong rushing attack for this offense to work correctly and we need to keep Hurts healthy.

That assumes a lot of carries - rightly, they tried to run Miles into the ground and he got up to ~260, Jacobs ~340. Barry Sanders topped out at 6/yds per attempt for context - so to get to 1900, means little regard for Bijon’s body long-term / late season availability.

exactly what you said, if they don’t take robinson it’s not cause of what they already have. Frankly penny can’t stay healthy, gainwell has never carried a full workload, Scott is a backup and sermon didn’t even play last year. it’s they don’t value the position enough to take him that high and they use the analytics/numbers to show why using 10 isn’t good value on a RB.

i would also add it’s a deep rb class. So I’m guessing the eagles probably believe they can get a player in round 2-3 that they feel can be really good fit in this offense and be highly productive and be involved in the rotation they’ve liked to use going back to when Doug was here. Granted they thought that in the pumphrey draft and they would up with pumphrey.

You misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn’t saying that I thought Bijan would get 1900 yards this year. It was a way to point out that Penny doesn’t replace Sander’s production and we got way worse.
