Under discussed need is backup QB. This year changed the expectations going forward, and if the Eagles wasn’t to be a true contender for the Super Bowl every year, a draft pick or Book isn’t good enough. I’d be interested in Taylor Heinicke  but Spotrac thinks his market value is $20M per year which is insane. Baker Mayfield around $6M isn’t inspiring, but might be a combo of ok/cheap enough.

Not another run at Jacoby Brissett? How much is Minshew really going to command anyway - the potential starter narrative is over.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I am looking to the draft there

if we lose hurts we are hosed pretty much no matter what

And it wasn’t his "crew” in the SB. I’d be more interested in how often the back judge called it on his normal crew

Good point.  Thanks for adding that.

Chargers

Both sort of turned the clock back to where they were before they screwed up the uniforms, both went back to a more classic look.  Chargers back basically to their originals, minus the numbers on the helmet.

Bills went back to their late 1970s look, but the early 1970s was pretty bad.

Minshew didn’t look great in spot duty. I’d bring him back if he’s cheap but it wouldn’t be very inspiring.

If Cameron Ward declares, he's my guy for QB2.

Probably still there late RD3-early RD4

We all know Howie and his modus operandi when it comes to first round picks. He has tiers of positions that are worth 1st rounders:

1. Franchise QB is "priceless”. He’s stated this a couple times, that if you have an opportunity to acquire one that no price is too high.

2. Lineman win tie breakers over other positions. This was stated as why we selected Cam Jurgens over Nakobe Dean in the second round, despite Howie having similar grades for both.

3. After points 1 and 2, Howie(as well as his predecessor) has shown a tendency to value WRs and CBs highly.

Based on this model, it would be difficult to believe we couldn’t find a better use of the 30th pick than on RB… and almost implausible we spend the top 10 pick on one. I may be totally wrong, but there’s no way in hell Howie is taking Bijan Robinson before someone else does.

Oh man that’s one of the worst sets IMO.  I love the Oilers sets.   I hate the pants "stripe” and yet another navy blue helmet.

Could also be just a timing thing. Life was always better when generation "_” was growing up.

The deadline for that was January 15th or has that changed?

Who was throwing stones?   Stating fact.  Eagles early 70s uniforms were also a sight to see... then again, I prefer them to the all black garbage this team rolled out this year.  Not very 'Eagles' to me.

You're right. He didn't declare this year.

If he has a good 2023 season, he'll go RD1-RD2 in 2024 draft.

Wonder where Hendon Hooker winds up in the 2023 draft...

25 year-old rookie, that only reads half the field… I’d say I like the plug and play ability due to the athleticism, but then there’s the recent ACL. 4th?

That's my biggest gripe with the entire league.  So many dark colored uniforms and so many teams go with all dark or all white.  With TV resolution technology, all of the vibrant colors of the old AFL/NFL days would pop on screen.  Watch a weekend of ACC or SEC football and just look at how great those games look.  Even a team like Missouri, who wears black, pairs it with a great yellow.

The only teams in the NFL who should be in black are the Raiders, Steelers, Saints, Bengals and MAYBE the Falcons.  I'd prefer the Falcons in their 1970s/80s red set and even the Begnals look great in orange. The Panthers should utilize a better shade of Carolina blue as their main color.  The Jags should take teal and own it and the Ravens look best in purple.

Then you have the Navy Blue teams.  Bears, Seahawks, Texans, Titans and Broncos.  THe Bears are the only team that really belong in a navy blue helmet.  The Seahawks silver helmets were terrific.  The Texans red helmet was much better than their Navy, the Titans white helmet was better and the Broncos need their orange crush uniforms with bright royal blue helmets.

I'm also worried if Nike can do Kelly Green, especially on a jersey. Below is their "Kelly Green" A's jersey. Looks a little too dark for me.

Now the Mitchell & Ness Kelly Green:

I do wonder if the Kelly Green was supposed to happen this season and Nike Fed it up, just like they did with Midnight Green at first. How long did it take the Eagles to wear Midnight Green when Nike took over? And I think even then they changed the color the following year.

Whatever happens, I'm counting on Nike to mess it up.  They do North Texas's uniforms and they have shades of green all over the place mixed in with black uniforms too.  I think UNT is a good place to look as to how Kelly Green can be incorporated with black uniforms.

So many guys that were starters and will be backups moving forward. Not a fan of spending a pick on one

Part of the issue is the actual color the team asks for, not just the name. Oakland has always had a visibly darker green than the Celtics, regardless of what incorrect name they give it. That is proper Oakland A’s green.

When we ask Nike to do our normal Jerseys, we tell them it’s midnight green… but it sure as hell isn’t. Half the time it’s borderline blue. Is that Nike and the previous makers’ faults, or is it what Lurie is asking for?

We’re going to have Spearmint looking uniforms aren’t we?

It was nikes fault.

They couldn't make our green.

They're also still incapable of making metallic colored pants like the raiders, saints, and buccs used to wear..

Nike sucks.

They sure can make a great pair of plain white practice pants though.

Why should we care about how Kelly Green mixes with black uniforms?  Black isn't a color of this team... closest that ever happened was in 1990 when the team switched over to black shoes... for whatever reason they chose to do that.

Amazing stopping and turning ability and burst. But small and that is a drawback. As a RS, UH has had some awesome returners. He is okay.  Probably a day 3 guy when Howie has no picks.
