We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

The prospect breakdowns aren’t even good anymore. They spend about 2 minutes on it, if that. On day 3 you might get 30 seconds.

Yup. Too many long drawn out background stories and recaps from the day before. Every pick should be getting a highlight reel and quick breakdown. They should have someone from the Org chime in for a quick synapsis of why they drafted him.

Ian Book probably shouldn't buy green bananas.  Seems like they are exploring getting a 3rd QB who can be a more cost effective backup in 2024.

Good

Kempski is in the thinks they trade up for Carter camp.

I think they try for him or Anderson.

As close as you could get to Jalen Hurts physically.

"This kid is a great football player... But even a better person. Here's a 3 minute story about his mother."

I tend to think that if Carter or Anderson falls to 7, They are trading up with the Raiders to get either. That said, I think there is next to no chance Anderson falls to seven. I think there’s a better chance that Carter falls to seven.

I dunno. We’ve been a little too pro-Howie, we gotta keep that fire lit and not let him get too comfortable.

There will be enough complaints in two days, don‘t worry. 😄

I’m still not ruling out Carter falls to 10. History days GMs err on the side of caution. Tunsil fell because of a video of a bong. Which is about as harmless as it gets. Lael Collins went from 1st round to undrafted because he was questioned as a witness in a murder. Not even as suspect.

Carter’s concerns are much greater than either of those and he bombed the combine workout. I would not be stunned at all if he fell to 10. Maybe teams think they don’t have the advantage the Eagles have like having Jordan Davis who was the guy reported to have kept Carter in line. And also Dean a former teammate. The Eagles for a variety of reasons may simply be the only team that feels comfortable taking a chance.

He was studying to be a GM instead of the playbook.

I don't think playing Madden in franchise mode counts.

far far too many stories for the feels, people announcing the picks and other crap.  Would be great if the RZ channel could be used to just give pick by pick breakdown, highlights and team fits.

Once upon a time, the draft was about... the draft.  Now it's about the show, and the draft is no longer interesting to watch.

my arguments to get players have to do with the bonus that they bring in addition to their normal position.   Others can and do often talk about the most famous players,  the top draft pick and who the team should take with the top draft pick based on the more normal criteria, how they play on the field.   That area is extensively covered by everybody.   It's covered by the small handful of media corporations that exist in the world today and it's covered by the vast majority here and on every football message board.   I talk about my things,  which include the high Ras or sparq which seems to have disappeared from the internet (freakbeast)  and what those players did that is different from what they did in their last year of school (versatile).   If 90% of the people who are here and everywhere else were talking about who was versatile and who was freakbeast,  I probably wouldn't be talking about that stuff.   I probably would be talking about things like who won awards or something.    These message boards are,  in general, a resource for the teams to use, whether they actually do or not,  and collectively, we cover a wide variety of ground.  I cover my areas,  and the teams might or might not care about the things that I like to cover.

This guy gets better & better. He thinks actual NFL teams are going to read his posts. @Bwestbrook36

What are they really going to say about a player that we haven't already heard at this point? The only interesting thing would be interviews with players &GMs.  The draft coverage was really never that interesting anyway they just had a captive audience because it was the only way to see the picks

Decided to sign up on DraftKings to do some prop bets on the Draft. Does anyone have any favorite bets? I put some money down on over 1.5 RBs in round 1. I feel pretty good about that one.

Come on Hawks

Gibbs. It’s a good bet

Can’t you nerds in here come up with a draft game that doesn’t involve having to name half of the first round prospects

Hawks won. In 6ers luck, Im not sure that was the best for them/Embiid. But, I guess we will take it and hope it works out.
