Less than 20 hours to go. Should be on the clock in less than 22 and then maybe again in about 24.

Just pick two really good players. In the long run, we won’t really care what positions they play. Just pick good players.

Realistically I’m expecting a Nolan Smith/Jahmyr Gibbs combo, which I would be more than happy with.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I wouldn't take RB in the first round at all, I don't even think it's a need tbh.

It’s definitely a team need, but doesn’t need to be in rnd 1

Listening to the prospects chat with Rick Nuihiesel and Marc Dominic on Sirius.  Pretty interesting to get their perspective after meeting the prospects numerous times.

They think Levis is going #2 to Houston.

Paris Johnson top 10 for sure.  They love his pedigree as a top recruit coming out of high school and working on his craft since then.

They also both agree that Jalen Carters character concerns are way overblown. Says he is a different than the media portrays him meeting him in person.

Dominic said that if Robinson is the top player on the board and you get the 5th yr option that you have to take him.

Got to admit the thought of Robinson running the RPO with Hurts and the threat of him in the slot against a LB makes my willy tingle.  For me, it is still Nolan Smith at 10 but I wouldn't be surprised by Robinson or Gonzalez if he is there.

Did you hear the part where they asked Levis which one of his grandmothers "would be first one to come off the board”?  Pretty good self restraint by him not to throw a punch

Missed that.  I was just getting the car as his interview was ending.

Here’s my "throw a penny in the fountain at the mall” wishlist:

1. QB’s go 1-2 back to back, and the Eagles trade up with AZ to #3, sending 10, 62, and our own 2024 2nd rounder in exchange.
2. Hendon Hooker is still on the board at 30. Surprisingly, the Rams trade 36 and 69 to move up and snag their QB of the future and secure that 5th year option as a hedge against Stafford’s shoulder falling off.

The 2023 draft then looks like:

#3 - Will Anderson, EDGE Alabama

#36 - Jahmyr Gibbs, RB Alabama

#69 - Keeanu Benton, DT Wisconsin

#94 - Bryce Ford-Wheaton, WR WVU

#219 - Gervarrius Owens, S Houston

#248 - Jake Witt, OT Northern Michigan

The only thing I can guarantee is none of this happens.

I’d put it behind DT, OT, OG, S, LB. I actually think slot WR is a bigger need too.

I’d really like a shifty sure handed slot WR that can also return kicks. Someone like Trey Palmer from Nebraska.

I know Tank Dell didn’t have the best pro day but he’s up on my list

May sweet dreams of Nolan. Skronski, Bijan and Cody Mauch dance in your head.  Sleep tight lil' Eaglets for tomorrow comes Howie Claus!   🦅🍀🤞

$20 says if the eagles draft Paris johnson in the presser howie/Lurie refer to him playing tight end and wide receiver and try to compare his athleticism to Jason peters who had the athleticism to play from tight end and transitioned to OT

I can hear this in his little weasel voice.

I like it a lot. Though at 30 I'd steal Wright and put him right at RG. I love Gibbs but give me the mauler with inside outside flexibility. Get me Bigsby maybe round 3.

do we use Cam Jurgens as a FB/TE then?

Were we aware that he visited?

I want this same feeling next year of going into the draft with 2 1st rounders. Hopefully we can make that happen somehow.

2 1st rounder next year plus all the other picks would be serious ammo to make a move for Marvin Harrison Jr.

Link to Paris Johnson playing TE and WR?   I see OT and DE in hs for him.

I like Jake Witt.   Was a college TE.  Was a college basketball player.  Quite raw, only played OL for a year and a half. Raw versatile freakbeast on day 3.

QB

@Moderator6 lets free the banned. It’s draft day.

Imagine how much different all of this draft talk would be if the Eagles only had pick 30.  Would we be thinking they need to trade up to the 20s or would the consensus be they need to trade down?

Having pick 10 is such a luxury.

Only a few more hours to go until we hopefully see Eskin retire!

On the plus side, Nolan Smith punted once in high school. So not only a freakbeast, but versatile.

No,  Nolan Smith ran for a lot of touchdowns and yards as a running back in high school.

I get that typically teams don't want to put linebackers or edge rushers on offense.

I don't expect that if the Eagles draft Nolan Smith, that they would use him on offense.

But if you look at his numbers,  you won't find too many players, on offense, with numbers like Nolan Smith's.   238 pounds and 4.39 40.   10 Ras at both RB and WR, as well as FB.   And you can see him break tackles and run past dbs in high school.   Linebacker is a more valuable position.  If you're a great lb/edge rusher,  people won't second guess taking him.  If you're a great rb,  people might say that a rb shouldn't be taken that high.  So,  top athletes who could do either LB or RB choose LB. Make more money.    The unfortunate result of that is that we aren't getting great athletes at RB the way we are at LB.  I'm saying that Nolan Smith could be (re)taught to do something on offense, and 238 4.39 is a really scary weapon do matter what it is that he's doing.

Anthony Richardson v Nolan Smith as RBs - both 10 Ras.   I'd want either of those 2.
