I think they are pretty and sometimes I bet on the horsey team to beat the team with the tiger on their helmets.

The tiger or the tiger stripes team?

Alright makes sense now.  Apparently it's their logo from the 60s.

They could have upgraded it a little lol

Wrong sport. It looks like the Lion has a hockey stick.

That lion looks like it's about to puke or lay down and die.  It definitely does not inspire confidence.

At his best (78-81) Montgomery was an excellent RB; one of the best in the NFL -- and in that era the RB position was much more important than it is now.  His decline resulted in the worst Eagles draft pick in history -- taking Michael Haddix at #8 overall instead of replacing an aging Jaworski with Dan Marino (or Jim Kelly, for that matter).

Sadly, there are many poor picks to pick from when it comes to worst picks ever.

Kevin Allen at #9 in 1985 over Jerry Rice, Jim Lachey
Kenny Jackson at #4 in 1984...
Trading up for Antone Davis in 1991.

The list goes on and on...

They should have gone with the football player going to town on the Lion.  That's a better logo given the franchise history.

This used to be a proud sport of ultimate survival, man vs beast, who would impose their will and make the other humble! Then we had to get into the "player safety" era.

Thanks a lot Goodell.

As always, fans seem to do it better.

Does that go down as the worst trade up in NFL history?

I think that's a fair take. My guess is that you never watched Wilbert play and are oblivious to the fact that he was the single most vital piece to that late seventies resurgence from decades of crap football to becoming a Super Bowl contender. Wilbert was great.

Yes, he was for a short period, Kelce has been a paradigm of excellence for a decade and is headed to the HOF.

No contest (and I remember those late 70s teams).

Clearly the trade up for Wentz was worse.

Is Ray Didinger losing it? He just said on wip he wpulsnt be able to pick who was a better 6th round draft pick for the Eagles between Wilbert Montgomery and Jason Kelce.

That is a tough choice for me as well.  The best of Wilbert was probably better than the best of Jason, but Jason has been at the top of his game longer than Wilbert was at the top of his game.  Both players were instrumental in getting the team to the top of the NFC.  Both were/are consummate team players.  It is an interesting question that I will pose to Dick Vermeil and his breakfast buddies at Urban Kitchen next time I’m there.

How?  Wentz played at an MVP type level to get this team the #1 seed in the season they won the Super Bowl.

And an eventual 1st and 3rd back

The lion on that helmet looks like he's starving...

Just like Lion's fans are for a playoff win this century.

The lion is working on a physics problem that involves the end zone

The exclusion of Ertz is an unforgivable oversight.

The inclusion of Byars as a TE for the Eagles is also a massive mistake as illustrated by the lack of knowledge of the history of the team.  Byars only 'played' TE for the Eagles for part of the 1992 season.  He wasn't a TE, and definitely shouldn't be on the list compared to a guy who is the only Eagles PLAYER with over 100 receptions in a season, and one of only two TEs on the team that has gone over 1000 yards.

This is a bad list.
