I’m learning more about this movie than I ever wanted to know.

off topic:  my late father-in-law was Jimmy Stewart’s roommate at Princeton.

My mother’s cousin’s husband served with Stewart in the war and was supposedly friends with him. Exchanged Christmas cards sort of thing. At least that’s the family story as it was passed down to me. I presume there’s some truth there.

Jalen Hurts would never😆 Get off it dude.

Extending them doesn't mean they won't get fired; it happens all the time.  With winning comes increased expectations.  The Bills have been contenders for 3 seasons now with nothing to show for it.  Lost AFCCG in 2020 and lost in the Divisional Round in 2021 and 2022.  They're getting farther away rather than closer to a championship.

Lesley Frazier has been pushed out and the Bills currently don't have a full time Defensive Coordinator.  I certainly wouldn't trust Sean McDermott to run a championship defense; when he took over for Jim Johnson the results indicated he didn't learn anything at all.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if their defense takes another step back in 2023.

McDermott should absolutely be on the hot seat if the team regresses again this season.

Clown Philly writer that stirs the pot 4-5 time a year on anything.

I think writer is too generous.  Hack might have been a better word choice.  He really competes with ESP for dunce level comments.

The only Bears Hurts is hunting would be the ones in Chicago.

Someone that knows what their physical limitations are, embraces it, and works hard to optimize ability is one of the most secure people in the world. That doesn't even make sense.

This is not to say I agree this is the case with Hurts, but on its own that POV makes sense to me. Let's you are new to a job, team, etc, you want to be good at what you do, but you look around and all of your peers are also ultra talented and experienced, it could work as fuel.

All-timer trash

I am not sure what he means. It’s like he is trying to find a new way of saying that Hurts is the hardest working athlete in Philly.

Not for nothin', but there are lots of reasons to hunt bear.  A lot of people who hunt them, eat them.  The black bears become a nuisance if their numbers aren't culled.

Hapoy 48th to the best Gm in football.  IN HOWIE WE TRUST!!!

The thought was brought up and out out there when Sean Payton was still available  that he could replace McDermott if the bills decided to move off of McDermott after the playoff drubbing by the bengals. Wasn’t very likely this offseason and more the idea if payton sat out another year (if he didn’t like any of the job openings this year) and the bills didn’t get past the divisional round again for the 3rd consecutive year they might want a new voice, go with an experience SB winning coach in Payton who is also an offensive coach to try to see what he could do with Allen and the offense. He’s no longer available so I’m doubting they’d have fire him unless They were going with someone of that ilk

that said i think mcdermott needs to get to the conference championship game this year otherwise if he fails again in the divisional round or earlier I think he’s going to start feeling and hearing it more and more (assuming josh Allen doesn’t suffer a major injury). If you fail for a 3rd consecutive year in the divisional round (or potentially earlier) with arguably one of the best rosters and best QBs in the entire league there’s going to be a lot of noise questioning if McDermott is the guy to get Allen and the bills over the hump. they aren’t trading josh Allen and that roster has the talent. if they run into the bengals or chiefs again in the playoffs before the conference title game and the bills look as dreadful as they did last playoffs there’s going to be a lot of questioning

The amount of butt hurt people reacting to this, retweeting it and acting upset is shocking. I get that Wentz career didn't go as planned here but I don't understand the absolute and total hate for the man.  People go out of their way to talk down on him. I can think of plenty of former Philly athletes who are worthy of hating on and Wentz isn't anywhere near that list.  My feelings towards him are more of disappointment and what if.

Visited the Jimmy Stewart Museum last Fall and learned more about his aviation career.  After the war he bought a P-51 that had been modified for racing called Thunderbird.  Long story short, the plane has recently been restored and took it's first flight this month.  Getting painted in it's racing livery as we speak.

I bet they never said anything about Trent Cole, lane, and fletcher hunting either. Just hating on wentz because it's the cool thing to do

If I could magically go back in time to April 2016 and undo the trade for Wentz, I still wouldn’t. I would be happy to keep things as they happened. A promising rookie year. A great second year that resulted in the team’s only Super Bowl, a following recovery year that was pretty decent, and then a year where he practically carried them to the playoffs while the rest of the team was hurt. The wheels fell off after that, but they got a first and second round pick out of it all. Yeah, the whole saga could and should have been better, but I’ll take it. The Lombardi trumps everything, thankyouverymuch.

Just saw on Facebook- start 1, bench 1, cut 1.

Hurts, Vick, McNabb

I'm going start- Hurts

Bench- McNabb

Cut- Vick

I thought it was pretty tough to choose the start and bench guy.

I went with Hurts due to his performance in the super bowl.

Dude killed it with a bow and wasn't drilling it 100+ with a rifle and scope. I couldn't hunt for fun but that is something taking down an animal that big with one arrow. I also look at hunting different when they hunt something that could kill them vs a deer or ram.

That had to be a cool visit. The bio about his war experiences was interesting.

Hunting debates are lame. Hurts would never.

Exactly.  There is 100% no Super Bowl without Wentz playing at an MVP level for 2017 until he got hurt. Who knows how good he could have been.  Yes, we relied on Nick Foles playing out of his mind too but Foles also crapped the bed a few games before the SB.  Wentz was on another level all year long.

Darren Sproles birthday was this past week and there was a highlight reel of his and one of the plays was when Wentz had to run for his life and flipped the ball to Spoles on a wheel route. Unreal play by Wentz and he had so many more like that during 2017. Also easy to forget/ignore the love fest this city had with him when he was playing at that level.  Wentz was THE guy. He started his food truck in Philly, held charity softball games at CBP and said all the right things when he was that guy.

He tore his ACL, broke his back and got a concussion from an all-time cheap shot and people HATE on him.  The fact that he came back from all of those injuries alone is impressive. I get that he wrote his own ticket out of here but the utter disrespect and hate blows my mind.
