I mean who can argue with those guys.  Especially when the premise of people being allowed in the country with no vaccine is wrong.  There was a requirement for proof of vaccination for all non-citizens and non-immigrants until this year.  Again, you could actually read about it or just believe 2 guys who were never really that funny.

How dare they make jokes! For shame! For shame!!!

Yeah big pass on Kyrie. Dude is the Kanye of the NBA.

I mean it's not unusual for top picks to take a few years to develop or for a foreign player to take a few years to come to the NHL.  I mean Forsberg was drafted in 91 and did not play in the NHL until 94.  I think this is a similar situation.  Hopefully, the Flyers won't trade him away.

It was a joke.  lol

I just have no idea how the salary cap works.  I understand they can get something but I don't know if they would have more space without signing him.  My assumption is there's some sort of trade exception that makes these deals worthwhile.

The rules are changing on July 1, I think.  No one really knows how the NBA salary works.

very 6ery of them to obtain assets out of old washed Harden (a miracle) and then immediately waste them on Kyrie who will be injured and/or quit.

As of now, that seems like the most realistic scenario considering the incompetence of the FO.

Sure the CDC had guidelines that you could find, if you searched for them. However, they weren't actively pushing that at all. It was lockdown, stay home, stay safe. You have to admit that their was an entire social experiment that took place during the pandemic. They filled in skate parks with sand, arrested people paddle boarding in the ocean, took the rims off of backboards and countless other measures that impeded people from taking part in daily outdoor recreational, yet safely distanced activities to stay in shape and stay sane.  Everything around Covid is going to be a divide from now trough the rest of time. From the vaccines to the skewed death numbers (yes, dying WITH Covid counted as a Covid death) to the origins of Covid itself, we as a society are never going to agree on everything.

Initially they were working with the best data they had which was the 1919 Spanish Flu pandemic. iIRC, pretty quickly, for science, they determined socially distanced outdoor activity was relatively safe.  We were out on the York Rail Trail. Didn’t see you but it’s probably because you were masked up.

Not a chance.  The return is going to be bench pieces at best and hopefully an expiring contract to give us some cap space in 2024 FA.  Gotta sign Maxey to extension this season.

That's funny you think because I mentioned the sheep that watch the news that I'm one of them.

bpac55: "The news didn't actively push hard enough for proper diet and exercise! The American people deserved to know the best ways to avoid severe disease!"

also bpac55: "Ha, good one but I'm not one of those sheep that watch the news. I know how to do my own research, thank you very much!"

This thread went dead for ten hours. And when the conversation resumed, it had to be THIS crap again? Cmon people. No one wants to hear this anymore.

We have less than a month to training camp.  It's the OT season for the blog.  We should really be talking about grilling recipes.

Got a new flat top grill recently. Been making really tasty smash burgers and chicken sandwiches on it.

It's going to be the bees knees during the football season.

How are you making your smash burgers? Are you using onions and bread crumbs?

Grilling, yes, this is a topic I can get behind.  I've been thinking about a pellet grill for smoking meats.  Anybody already doing this?

I threw out travel as a topic, but it tailed away rather quickly.

As a non-griller myself, the grilling comments only have marginal interest

You do realize the difference between coming through the border legally, and just coming across as an"asylum seeker" (illegal immigration) the truth is, yeah there were requirements doing it legally, but zero when you waltz across the border into texas illegally. Those people didnt have vaccination status coming in.

Kanye is great.

Does anyone else have a feeling the Eagles take a step back this year? There is a glaring hole in the middle of the defense and question marks at RB, OL, and WR. There is a lack of depth at many positions that a few key injuries will expose. I think they have been able to stay remarkably healthy, so I am hoping that continues.

I like the direction the Eagles are going in but this year will not be a repeat of last year. From the looks of the schedule, I believe the Eagles will be playing from behind more than last year that will show up in the statistics. I expect more passing yards, and less rushing yards. Overall, I expect the record to drop. How much remains to be seen....but I am not as optimistic as others...I think the following 24 season is going to be the Eagles year.

Ranger Suarez and Taijuan Walker as Ace #1 and #2, just as planned.

I mix my ground beef with liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, melted butter, salt and pepper. Refrigerate and let it sit and marinade for about an hour.

Burgers come out really juicy. Usually serve with bacon, flat pickles, melted provolone or smoked gouda, and a tasty burger sauce. Sauce is a combo of Duke's mayo and a Frank's buffalo ranch seasoning blend mixed together.
