This dude is a Fing idiot lmao. Good God what a horrible take

Dalton is probably the worst playoff QB with more than 1 start in NFL history. In 4 playoff games he had 1 total TD pass to his team and 1 TD pass to JJ Watt.

Sanders should be immediately drug tested.

There are certain subjects we veer off to from time to time that are generally viewed as acceptable. For the love of God, please let's not include flat earth debates. Holy F.

This week or never for the jelly green.

I've always thought Embiid was a purgatory superstar, and his attitude is just plain annoying. Wonder what his trade market would be.

SNL gif. Kenan Thompson as a game show host wears a blue suit as he glances to the side, pausing for a beat before looking down at his cards uncomfortably and saying, "Okay."

He still wants Harden to stay in Philly and help him, so he obviously has no idea how to attain a championship.  They can both go elsewhere.

im getting completely crapped on in this thread by everyone else, every comment I make is getting 100’s of downvotes. but I’m not budging that I’m absolutely 100% right.

You cannot compare Kirk Cousins’ job to your 9-5, 40 hour a week IT job. He has a privileged position running a 40b$ product and he is being compensated exorbitant amounts of money for it. He committed during contract negotiations to do everything to make Minnesota a better team. There is a 0% chance that the Vikings would have signed him if he admitted in the interview that he will be taking his kids to the water park before the playoff game while Daniel Jones prepares at home to embarrass him on national television.

Pat Mahomes getting up 90 minutes before his kid to work on his throwing motion on his off day doesn’t make him a worse father. Jalen Hurts watching game film for 3 hours while his wife is at the spa doesn’t mean he doesn’t prioritize family.

It’s not a knock on Cousins. There are plenty of CFL jobs for a guy with this mindset. But he has a responsibility to his fanbase to be more than this. It is provable that increased preparation during the week will improve your QB play.

Fanbase? No

ownership and his teammates? Yup

The silver lining to the Simmons situation was simultaneously the Nets were dealing with the Harden situation. Looks grim now, but all Philly has to wait for is a Jaylen Brown or a KAT or a Trae Young to say "F this situation!” And the gears can start going in motion.

not close to 1 for 1, but there’s no realisticalu fair trade compensation for the reigning MVP. It’ll inevitably be an all star level player and some draft picks

Technically, he has no obligation beyond what is written in the contract.  Anything beyond that is unspoken, unwritten, etc.  Is it expected that a QB will go above and beyond what is in the contract?  Of course.  Does that mean that a QB is required to do that?  Not legally.  Of course, a team can move on from any player at any time if they don't meet expectations, even those that are unwritten.

There are plenty of NFL jobs for a guy with his mindset, too.

Not every player lives for a Super Bowl.  Sad, but true.  Cousins graduated from Holland Christian High School, played college at Michigan State, and was drafted into the NFL in the fourth round -- in the same draft Washington took RG III with the #2 overall draft pick to be their franchise QB.  He's achieved quite a bit more than 99% of players with his lineage and draft position.

He's objectively a top 16 NFL QB.  He turns 35 next month and after the Vikings send him on his way, he'll get offered another contract by another NFL team where he'll likely finish his career -- and be quite rich in the process.

Kirk Cousins is amazing to have as a backup QB on your FF team.

Carter is foolish if he waits until parties go to mediation.  His best bet is getting out early, IMHO.  Back in the mid 1980s, our company embraced mediation as a tool.  I was in charge of that regionally (and our region was the biggest in the country).  Personal injury attorneys back then thought it was a joke paying a mediator to help negotiate.  In truth, we were looking at it as a form of "litigation management” (when an insurance carrier uses that term they are really talking about trying to reduce litigation costs.  Carriers tend to look at cases as having the ultimate (settled) value - despite what the TV and billboards project - but what we can reduce is expense costs if we investigate well and resolve earlier).  But forty years later, both sides are addicted to mediation.  The best bet is picking up the phone (his adjuster or lawyer as I think this will take more than his personal auto limits) and presenting a solid offer to get out because they don’t need him for the case against Lecroy, the association and possibly UGA.  No solid reason to wait for a mediation.

The interesting aspect of these cases will be trying to establish the association as an agent for UGA to get to the capped amount UGA has. UGA should throw that limit on the table and let the injured parties negotiate amongst themselves for the limit.  (Places the association’s liability carrier in a tough position because if agency is established, then UGA may be an insured under the association auto policy.  Smartest thing the primary auto carrier can do is throw out its limits for all plaintiffs and potential plaintiffs on behalf of every defendant except Carter. If GA is a first come state, then the fun begins.).

Maybe Carter should hire us as consultants.

On the personal injury side of my firm, about 95% of the cases settle without suit being filed.  It's a fairly small percentage the settle at mediation and it's usually because there was a reason to file suit from the outset.  My thought is that Carter's number might be smaller if he's one of several pockets.  He does take a risk that the whole claim doesn't resolve.

I agree that sometimes we are too dependent on mediations.  I will say on the workers' comp side there are adjusters I can talk to and there are the ones that just do not respond.  We also progress to mediation much quicker than Civil Court.  I mean we have four months from a hearing request to set a mediation. When the carrier is already represented we are often setting the mediation within about 60 days of when we make the request.

The best part of any embiid trade will be the draft picks.  Team needs a complete rebuild.

KAT and Trae are non-starters in discussions.
