Ringo’s weakness is definitely his stiffness. I think he’s going to struggle against quick twitch WRs mightily. But he has great horizontal speed, will be good staying with guys vertically.

Im not a huge Ringo fan but I don’t hate the pick because in the 4th he’s worth taking a chance on based on his pedigree. He was productive, in a great defense, was a big time recruit. And stiff CBs have been successful in the NFL. Richard Sherman was never a quick twitch guy.

Aside from the athletic profile, I like Ringo because he is a big game player. Some people just have "it” in big games, in big situations, and he has been one of those guys.

There have been some TE takes this year. Gowton has Dan Arnold making the team over Calcaterra.

ESP said Tyree Jackson is one of the 5 most talented TEs in the NFL.

As an aside, I don't know if Dean will make a big splash at camp, but he was so Fing good in college, I still think despite his size it would be an upset if he wasn't good in the NFL. He was a flat out superstar in college. He did everything well.

I definitely think Arnold is the number 2

Here's a small snippet of the players only meeting before the Super Bowl

I get worried that the Giants will be come relevant again because I do think Daboll is a good coach/pushed the right buttons. Same with Joe? Schone? Their GM.

With that being said, they were forced to stick with Danny Dimes and until he's gone they dont bother me much

They have some pieces but overall that roster still lacks talent.

I think it's Stoll. They seem to trust him a lot and Jalen seems to like going to him.

@hputenis Would say that stiffness is most men's greatest strength

Correct!  If the hips are as stiff as Ringo's dingo, I always say.........

Interesting. Greg Cosell said very bluntly that Ringo "can't stop" and that was why he dropped to the fourth round. He said he can't cover hooks and comebacks and that guys can run by him. https://www.insidethebirds.com/philadelphia-eagles-intel-with-cosell-nfl-draft/

He talked about it in terms of route recognition.  It may be something that he is able to improve upon with coaching.  Certainly, he should be able to learn from Slay and Bradberry.

Don’t get my hopes up.

Don't forget my Davion Taylor prediction I had months ago. He's not going anywhere.

Including Cain?

It doesn't, but does include Dennis Kelly.  So I assume they are using the transactions to keep up to date rather than Agents twitter handles.

But is interesting to see the depth on this team in some areas, on paper at least.

Wonder what it would cost to get Corrall?

Oh my. He must have said this on Threads.

Cain was out there today and Howie was asked about him in the PC.  Eagles announced his signing and Keene being cut as a result.  There have been subtractions (Leo and Keene) for the Kelly and Cain signings.  Allen, despite being NFI counts against the 90.  His chance of making a statement move seems to be dangling by a thread.

Tyree Jackson is certainly one of the 5 most talented TEs in Pennsylvania.  I don't know about how he ranks in the NFL.

Interesting. He's now on the Eagles roster page and wasn't earlier today.

Having visited the page, Brady Russell is winning on the player photograph

Interesting titbit from Kelce

They are still at 89. Kelly didn't need a move to sign on.

I could see how this may be tough for other fans. Dallas Goedert, top 5 NFL TE doesn’t even make my top 10

I think he would make a very good backup to Hurts. I think his style of play matches what the Eagles do.

Yeah as proven by Mahomes winning MVP amd the Super Bowl when he was on it.

yep, and he's gotten a ton more attention on social media platforms, a ton more scrutiny, and I'm sure theres tips and tricks other teams picked up watching that film

Theres also a reason why the NFL FORCES teams to be a part of Hard Knocks. Surely you dont think your smarter than the entire NFL

Yep, I'm aware of them now, but I'd be nervous if Daboll had something real he could work with under center. I.e. one of these rookie QB's or a decent veteran

I'm working on 10 predictions for the NFL season, I really don't have that many strong takes so far. I had much stronger takes last season, nailed a lot of em like the Patriots finishing under .500 for the first time in 20 years.

Some I'm thinking about: regression season for Geno Smith?

Bears being the team with the biggest win total increase?

Lions being the sexy pick, but Vikings still winning the NFC North relatively comfortably, because until proven otherwise the Lions are the Lions.

Raiders being the 2nd worst team in the NFL this season?

I'm new-ish here but if there was a different thread where we could keep track I'd contribute. I dont get on here a lot so if I posted them in this thread I'd probably lose them.

This is honestly great news.

Nolan Smith, once he figures out hand usage, should be great too. That's not in year 1.
