It's not a huge amount of work to do that each week, but it's enough work that if it's not going to be used, I won't do it. But if it will be used, I'll be happy to do so. So please let me know if that's a desired thing. 

Really, really appreciate the effort you put into everything here… But I would not use that.

I think you need an account, but I'm not positive. If there's interest in doing it, I can do a test chat so that people can try it out and doing that would tell us for sure if you can be a guest of if you have to have an account.

Im pretty sure in order to make any comments on anything YouTube you need an account. I usually join live chats with some of the channels I subscribe too and you need an account. That being said the live chats go so fast you can't keep up with it to even have any kind of back and forth with anyone. 

As far as Smith, there's a pretty solid template in place for undersized pass rushers getting underdrafted. Heck, the entire nfl was caught off guard that parsons might be able to rush the passer. So smith being pretty good would not be a shocking mystery imo.

We already have our own undersized pass rusher in Reddick to teach him. Smith has the chance to be really good, it's exciting

I liked the old chat that was at the top of the site on the old board. I don't go onto youtube with a signed in account so it likely wouldn't interest me

The fact that you are asking makes me think that at the best, it would be pennies, and might not be worth your time and effort.  Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated, but I think for your own sake, efficiency should be prioritized.  

Phils should already have had 5 runs in this game.   Disappointing offensive output so far.  Runner at second in first two innings with less than 2 outs... 0 runs.  Bases loaded in the 4th... zero runs again.  Gotta be better with RISP.  And Schwarber... there's no reason to try that stolen base of 3rd there.   Just not smart baseball.

The runners with scoring position this month looks really good at .311 until you look at the fact the last 4 games they began turning it around and the 19 run nats game on July 1st skews it by 26 points. For most of the month they’ve been really bad with situational hitting. It’s just that when they do situational hit in games they go completely off and then it’s complete famine for like a week of games.they are .118 with the bases loaded this month and that includes a grand slam by schwarber 

The baserunning thing has been an issue with the Phillies since Gabe Kapler was here. I don’t know what the hell is going on but it feels like every other game somebody is making a dumb decision on the base paths. 

Great job by the Pittsburgh grounds crew.  

 

Word is the banned user is not a former banned user.  It was just an AI bot that signed up and the mods caught it and put an end to it.  AI have been trying to take over this site and the rest of society for weeks now, maybe even months.

Not for me. Chatting while the game on always distracts me from the game. I’m always looking forward, not commenting on the past. Halfway through a comment, a new play is under way. I appreciate the thought and effort you are offering but it’s not for me.

There was a pretty good group of people on the old boards that enjoyed the chat feature while it was still around.

There may be a few here who still do, but I doubt its more than a handful.

And, I think maybe some of the banned members might have been in that group.

It would be a good way to potentially get the youtube channel monetized, but Im not sure theres enough interest in the chat anymore.

Since 2016, I've made ... well, multiple thousands (in the nice 5 figure range). A couple of years ago YouTube removed my monetization rights without explanation and it stayed that way for a few months, and since they restored it, I've never gotten back to where I was on revenue. But I can tell you first hand, there is money to be made on YouTube. 

I wouldn't expect Live Chats to get us to the point of monetization and even if it did, I wouldn't expect to make more than $5 or $10 per gameday but the main purpose of the chats would be for people here to use, if it's wanted. If it isn't, I won't bother with it.

Since 2000 or 2001, I've gotten so used to being in the Gameday thread during games that it doesn't feel 'right' to just sit and watch a game without the EMB lol. 

Thanks @FranklinFldEBUpper for mentioning Inside The Den. I watched the first two episodes awhile back and wasn’t aware that episode 3 was out. It was a great watch. Last year’s was pretty good. The Colts do something similar, but not a 90 minute special on the draft class. I can only imagine how excited Lions fans were watching that. Would love for the Eagles to do it.
