If they can find a team that is willing and desperate enough to trade for Mariota then they should like they did with Flavco and then sign Wentz as the backup QB.

Lol don't know why you keep bringing this up

We just got done with he-should-not-be-named a few pages ago.  Here we go again.

Also, can you really judge Mariota after a few practices in a new city, with new coaches, new teammates, and a new system?  Give him a bit of time to adjust before you throw him under the bus.  He's an experienced veteran and we'd be fine if he had to start a few games.

Mariota hasn't been good since 2016.  I have no idea what they saw in him.  Maybe Chip Kelly put in a good word lol

I haven't learned my lesson yet. Players on teams this pre-season don't count. Damnit. Lost 2 tries by putting in Miles Sanders and Rodney McLeod.

Miles sanders for Eagles Panthers? Dude

James Bradberry

Haason Reddick

Evan Mathis

Or my favorite to really eek out the rarity points….

I panicked but ended up remembering Rodney Peete.

If Mariota plays, we're going to run the ball...a lot. At least he can run our entire run-QB playbook.

If he can limit his crazy. My goodness he's a freak.

Wonder if Mariota continues to look rough, they would make a move there. Even if McKee looks better than expected, would they have the balls to have a rookie backup for a SB contending team?

Nope.  Book will be cut, McKee will be a practice roster guy.  It's not really a question of balls, just common sense.  McKee doesn't have the college pedigree of playing in the CFP, etc.  He'd be completely raw to the pro game.  If the Eagles had to start him for even 2-3 games you could assume a losing record for that stretch.

The thing about LB is that there are 2 very, very good LB potentially available for trade in Patrick Queen and Lavonte David. If they want to truly go after this initial window the next 2 years, making a move at LB would certainly make a lot of sense. From reading the very few reports we get of just 3 practices in shells, Nick Morrow sounds like he doesn't even belong on the team, let alone start.

I'd actually be on the phone with the Cowboys and or Steelers to see who they might be willing to part with. Both teams are absolutely loaded at the position. I'd love to find a way go get my former draft crush, Jabril Cox, away from Dallas. He's coming off an injury and they added more young talent in this draft. Could be a name to look out for.

There's just not a lot of good options out there. Bridgewater and Wentz are the top FA's out there. After those two it's Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco who are both washed. Nick Foles is there, but doesn't seem realistic. Not sure who would be a trade option besides someone young and unproven like Trey Lance or someone old and expensive like Ryan Tannehill. Mariota is likely the best option at this point. Mariota's contract is fully guaranteed too, so they aren't going to just cut him.

Hell of a nice rep, but Jesus F, why is he and the offense celebrating like they just won the gd Super Bowl?

Although I wouldn't quibble too much with an offense that was 3rd in the NFL in points and yards last season, Sirianni and Johnson need to do a better job of getting the ball to the RBs in the passing game.  Gainwell was 50+ catches for 600+ yards his last year in college, and Sanders wasn't used properly in the pass game.  He's bad at the screens in the flat and short middle (the conventional RB targets), but useful in the downfield passing game.

Regarding the bolded statement, anyone who watched the US women play Portugal last night (this morning) saw just how impactful a coach can be on the productivity and cohesion of elite players.  Unfortunately for the US women, that impact was 100% negative.

JFC, Wentz is NEVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVER EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVER coming back here. Steve McNair has a better chance of being the backup QB here.

What Philly beat group?

RTK posted a link a few pages back. On twitter/x it's called Eagles News. You can join and it becomes one of your feeds, just comprised of Eagles beat.

Interesting hoe BLG/BGN does not include ESP tweets in its central Eagles beat tweets about camp.

This link should be stickied so we can access it easily. As RTK pointed out, ESP isn't included and I don't think Reub is either.

Ahhhh I rarely use Twitter.  Can I get it to feed me news without having to go on Twitter/X?  Or even better, can it feed this thread?

I want effortless.

It's basically what I use Twitter for. That group is my main feed and the only access to TC we really have.

I'm sorry to hear your TV is only picking up one channel.  When are you expecting the repair guy?
