One interesting note from practice today was that Steen remains at LT on the second team and Driscoll is the backup RT, with Kelly as the third-string RT. The other backups were Andrews at center and Opeta and Sills at the guard spots.

Criminal Rape cases are extremely difficult to get convictions, especially so without Any physical evidence, ( rape kit, etc...) The conviction rate for rape hovers around 5%.

I'm not saying Sills raped or sexually assaulted anyone but a not guilty ruling in a criminal court doesn't automatically mean he didn't commit rape or sexual assault, just means the court/ jury didn't have enough evidence to prove without reasonable doubt that one was committed

The ruling judge on the case reportedly said he believed the witness ( victims female friend)and said there wasn't enough evidence to convict so the jury did their duty

I'd like to believe Sills but in this case I tend to believe the victim and the witness and personally It would be tough for me to keep Sills on my team.

If he doesn't make the roster then it'll all be moot anyway so ...🤷‍♂️

Turner is back.  Yet another double.

Tyler Steen is just good. The next Big V.

You like Mariota at safety? Nice RAS scores...

he's got the numbers of tall WR.  6'4 222 4.52 40.  Maybe put him back there in Hail Mary situations,  but it should be a lot easier to learn how to do a thing on offense,  because it's a planned play, as opposed to defense, where you have to react.  Also,  Mariota has the reputation of being fragile,  so there's that too.   I'll put Tyree Jackson back there at S on Hail Mary plays before Mariota,  taller by 3 inches.

Ras compare as Safeties - Mariota v Tyree

Mariota has the better ras at strong safety.  Jackson with 8.61,  Mariota with an excellent 9.91.

I'd like to see him in a drag show. What RAS numbers does he have for that?

You are a liar.

YOU DID NOT USE A RAS SHEET.

YOU MADE UP A FAKE RAS SHEET USING HIGH SCHOOL DATA.

HERE, again, is a REAL Dean RAS sheet.  It's mostly blank.  He didn't do combine or pro day.

Here's Dean v VanSumeren  RAS Compare
https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=21462&p2=23189&pos=LB

I used the only available numbers which are the truth until we have better numbers. My sheet was less incomplete than yours.

Lay off the ignorant personal insults. You only insult yourself.

His last recorded/reported 40 time was high 4.7 and on tape he doesn't look overly fast.

It's nice to guess but I'll take what we actually have to go in which is that high 4.7.

Stop trying to make freakbeast happen, it's not happening time to move on bro...😒

His last 40 time

WAS
IN
HIGH SCHOOL

Players don't forget what they did in high school.  They do get bigger, faster, and everything else.

One other guy saw the huge red flag when everyone else was using really old - and useless - data.

No one except that one guy saw that you can't compare high school students and college graduates physically.

I wonder if it's the same people who think that you can't talk about all the things that players have done who want to argue about the high school ras or sparq of current Eagles.

WE DON'T HAVE USEFUL NUMBERS LIKE 40 TIME FOR DEAN.

The Eagles may very well have those numbers.

it's not fetch.

I'm not trying to get other people to use that term.  I use it, and people know what I mean.  And that's the point.

I don't know how to apply combine numbers to drag shows.

And you like to see drag shows.

I don't think you have followed the discussion correctly.

I said Dean wasn't an athletic freak, I said he was undersized and slow.

Another person says not athletic this is news to me.

Another poster posted his slow 40 time from high school which at the time I didn't even know existed.

In response the previous poster countered with Dean's vert 40+ and short shuttle to show dean had positional above average athletic ability which I agreed with.

If one doesn't want to use the 40 time to gauge his athleticism than one has to also throw out the vert and short shuttle also from high school in supporting his athleticism

Or we could use those numbers since they are the only available to us as a baseline, I stead of guessing to try and make our arguments.

At this point I asserted that while I conceded that Dean's vert and short shuttle would support positional athleticism his lack of height which is recently recorded and below ave. 40 time which we were using  in conjunction with his other recorded times from high school would support his limitations in coverage

In college he was targeted 73 times in the passing game and only caused 4 incompletions, that's a concern and I e invoiced that could be a problem for him in the pros where the guys he will face in the NFL are bigger and faster than some of the scrubs he faced in college that he couldn't cover, not to mention the NFL rules greatly favor offensive passing.

After I made that point I either didn't see a response or no one was Interested in talking about that anymore, which is fine.

If you would like to comment on the last point feel free, if you'd rather rant about freakbeasts my knowledge of them is on par with my knowledge of journalistic economic behavior, which is very little and pathetic, ask @ManuManu

Wrong.

It has been well known by people paying attention that Dean did not have combine or pro day numbers.

It has been discussed here before.

The 4.74 number was discussed last year,  and it was clearly pointed out that the number was a high school number.

Also,  if there is no pro day or combine number,  the right answer is either "we don't know" or "wow that is amazing,  because the numbers are OBVIOUSLY very old,  from a time before college.

They have high school, or pre  numbers, and they have post college

Both sides of your argument failed to notice that you were arguing really old numbers.

The one guy tried to pretend that his data that he plugged into the RAS calculator equaled an actual RAS page.

No one jumped on that.

Until the hero did.

I took the only numbers available and plugged them in based on our conversation. It was obviously me plugging them in. Then the true hero arrived:

Nice to see him get into a grove. First time this year he’s had 4 straight games with an extra base hit.

unfortunately Suarez has been somewhat disappointing since beginning of July. His June was incredible but since July 1 (not including tonight) he has a 5.24 era. Was cruising tonight til the 4th.

Yep.  Basically, one bad pitch.  2 run homer.

But, that should be good enough tonight.  Bats have to produce more than they have in Game 2.  But... they went with a much weaker lineup for Game 2.  Stubbs and Castro in place of Realmuto and Bohm.  That's a significant step down.

Especially with gray on the mound. His numbers are pretty good even though he’s on the nats.

Huh.

I figured when they acquired Castro that the goal would be to use him against lefties.  HIs splits are ridiculously lopsided.

Kelly moving to 3rd string was a bit eye opening as far as backups go. I figured he might be a plug and play swing tackle but looks like they really want their young guys to step up.
