I wonder how many people are aware of how good he actually his.  He's a baller.

I think he's really good but Howie won't care. It's the way this front office views the value of the position. Not that I agree 100% with it.

First-round LBs have a rough hit rate

Not sure where Trot's boy will be valued come next year. I'd think possibly late first to second round as a very early guess

@RunItBAck What are you confused about?

"no way Jackson is better than Hurts"

Too early to say that imo...Jackson won MVP with a better year in 2019 and regressed...we don't know how much better hurts can get yet. I'd still like to see less running before he ends up like Jackson

He also has tackle and guard versatility. He’s actually started nearly as many games at guard ( if pro football reference is correct) as he has at tackle. Which means he can play RG if need be if jurgens or steen aren’t cutting it. Or if Driscoll gets hurt or isn’t cutting it as a swing tackle. Then again you ideally hoping he’s just your backup

Played pretty significantly more at RG if these snap counts are accurate.

How was his year in 2019 better than Hurts in 2022?

I hope this is what happens.  Absolute trainwreck of a rebrand.  There are soooo many fan redesigns that incorporate everything from the Redskins uniforms an identity and merge them in to a new name like Red Wolves or something similar.

Even something as simple as this would be 1,000x better

r/Commanders - Fixing what’s broken: Washington Commanders I’m starting a new series showing how some of the NFL’s could be improved with minor tweaks if full re-designs and previous sets were off the table. Consistent striping, no gradients, new pants and socks, black removed, and yellow helmet…

But Red Wolves are an endangered species that lives in Carolina not the swamps of DC.  The Bureaucrats has a truthful ring to it.

Compared to what he was as a rookie, Nate Herbig sure has worked himself in to having an NFL lineman's body. He's still built more like 41 year old Jason Peters than he is Lane Johnson but he sure isn't the fat slob he was when the Eagles brought him in.  Wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers have Seumalo and Herbig starting and playing at a high level.

Pittsburgh Steelers guard Nate Herbig (71) participates in the Organized Team Activities (OTAs), Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. (Karl Roser / Pittsburgh Steelers)

On an unrelated note, I wonder if Cole Holcomb could be available coming TC.  I know he was signed as a FA, but that was before the Steelers took Nick Herbig.

Does anyone know where John Clark got that clip of Jalen Carter from earlier? Is there a site that he got it from?

On Twitter, the only sources tagged are NBC10 and NBCS Philly so it might have been their own crew? There are no sources credited, which seems to be common practice when posting a video.

There's a real chance that the name 'Commanders' doesn't stick around very long.  I would not be surprised if they rebranded when they moved into a new stadium in a year or two.

I brought this up a few weeks back and got shot down

It's from the NFL Rookie Premiere. Panini America is the sponsor of the thing.

Yea, I know that but did Philly send a crew out to cover Carter?  Not even an NFLPA tag in the tweet, I find that strange.

John Clark does that all the time. Just a year or two ago he posted a fan made chart of playoff scenarios and purposely edited out the watermark.

I guess he really is still part of the team.

The Patriots breaking rules go together like peas and carrots....

Carter looks like he's already got himself into a lot better shape than before the draft.

Hopefully this is a good sign that he's willing to put the work in and improve.

Then we have no shot. Goes against the front offices value structure.
