Washington is really, really talented. He has a degenerative knee issue if I remember correctly, but I would bet that pick is locking like a steal in a few years.

I was hoping after the Ringo trade that Howie could find a way to grab him. He’s like having an extra OT out there when blocking and can actually run and catch. Definitely the type of guy who allows your offense to do things they couldn’t otherwise do because of his unique skill set.

The DB room does seem to embrace Ghost.  I don’t think it is racist amongst teammates that seem to get along.

Given the history of this team and Hurts’ style, I wouldn’t mind using a higher pick on a backup QB just to get him on a rookie friendly deal. Sounds like a better option than paying money to a vet backup. Best case scenario, you flip the QB down the line for some picks.

Curious on your take of McPhearson on PRs.  (Saw your comment in the STs blog). Sure seems to me that if McPhearson is playable with Quez as an emergency game back up, if a Cain, Cleveland or Ngata are better at WR5 than Covey, that’s a better way to go.  Can risk Ward and Covey on cutdowns to PS and sign one or both to the PS in case McPhearson has to play CB or gets injured.

Slay is a pretty funny guy. I think he saw josh Allen’s comments and decided to have a good time with it. Just like ghost nickname i don’t think was meant to be demeaning or hateful. I think wih how there’s been less and less white defensive backs over the years that when it happens guys just have fun (embrace/some humor) with it (there’s probably a better word choice but i can’t think of it right now).
