What a disaster of a trade for them. I wonder how different things would be if they drafted Fields. And the trajectory of the Dolphins too, which turned that trade into a lot.

By the end of the season Lance may well be starting after the other two are benched or injured.

Tom Brady might also coming out of retirement by then as the niners were going to try that with rivers.

Solid solid marketing.

I'm not the expert on players playing two positions but I can link you to someone for that.

Meh.  I don't consider 'returner' to be two positions.  :P

I listened to interviews with Shanahan and Lynch on NFL Radio over the weekend, and they were both sniffing Purdy's balls like crazy.  It almost defies reason.  The guy came in during a weak part of their schedule last season and the team ran off some wins.  Shanahan believes he's seeing something that isn't there, IMO.

As was said already -- we'll see who's starting for them by the end of the season.

Corey Davis retired.

Purdy played well under pressure.  It's not slight on him at all.  More highly touted guys have performed much worse under pressure than he did.  Howehe quver, I think it speaks a lot more towards the level of talent across the board in SF than it does to Purdy's actual ability to play football.  You or I could probably start in San Fran and have some success there.

Kyle Shanahan's system gets QBs hurt.  It's only a matter of time until Purdy gets hurt, then it's gonna be Darnold time.

Howie is not giving up a 2nd rounder for a RB he won't pay in a year.

Spot on. Then again he could get a 3rd back if he signs with someone else for big money. Still not worth it.

They have more than a few RB who can do the job well enough. They need LB and a punter though...and to trade Barnett

I wasn't for the trade initially, but after really thinking about Penny and Swift, I hope Howie pulls the trigger. Plus, isn't the knock on Swift and Penny are that they're both often sidelined? Do we really wanna risk it all on Gainwell?

I don't think they improved where they needed to which is the o-line.  Ultimately adding Seumalo, LaRaven Clark and Nate Herbig isn't going to make them much better.

I am skeptical of the Giants' improvements.  I think they will have a very good to elite d-line but I am not sure Waller is enough for them on offense.  I also think o-line is a weakness for them at least in terms of what Evan Neal provided last season.  The WR corps for them is also mostly potential and not past performance.  I am not sure that Daniel Jones is going to all of the sudden turn into an accurate downfield passer that doesn't have turnover issues.  I think the real difference for them may be the addition of Deonte Banks.  The d-line may very well and certainly they could be in contention for the division if Jones looks improved.

Neal is going to be very good. The other tackle, Thomas, took a couple of years to settle but he's a terrific OT now. They will have excellent bookends for the next decade.

Sorry to say.

I do think it's quite possible that Dallas gives up the draft capital for Jonathan Taylor.

McCarthy has said he wants to run the ball more, I'm not sure Pollard can sustain a heavy workload, and Jerry is not adverse to paying money to RBs.  He paid a first round pick for Amari Cooper because he knew Dak was floundering without help.

Don't rain on my parade.  I just want one returner for both KO and Punts. Is that too much to ask for?

Yes

I said this a couple weeks ago. Pollard is coming off a pretty bad injury that happened last game of the year. They liked zeke and pollard as the 1-2 last year. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if they got involved.

If they traded a 2nd or 3rd for Taylor, they already gave up a 4th for Swift. They would be trading half of their best picks next year for RBs. If anyone knows anything about how the Eagles allocate resources you'd know that isn't going to happen.

The only reason I see the Eagles sniffing around Taylor is to drive up the price for the cowboys. I don't see Howie actually trading a 2nd for a 1 year $4 million cap hit at RB.

It looks like he was responsible for 3 sacks.  2 because of Reddick and one from Graham.  Graham just destroyed him.

In 3 games the Eagles put up 108 points on them.  They had more points against them  than points for them.  They were 8-4-1 in one score games.  I never said they were bad or weren't going to be better but they could regress next season given that a lot of the progression relies on: 1.  improved play from a QB who has struggled with turnovers on downfield throws, 2. a 30 year-old TE who has missed 14 games over the last 2 seasons, and 3) starting receivers who have never put up a 1,000 yard season.

yeah, if Penny is healthy he's going to help a lot.

Its the same with Waller in NY

The health of either guy is anyone's guess.

I like Hyatt as a rookie. I don't Justin Jefferson level like him but he could be like one of the young DC WRs.

Cousins is a QB. Three QB's each game can have a receiver in their helmets for play calling.

He looks stupid but that's probably why he is wearing it.

That guy doesn't seem to have any real sources. Just went back to see what his FA/Draft takes were. Apparently:

Thielen is going to the Chiefs, Colts, Jets or Giants.

Carr is going to Washington.

Rodgers is going to Raiders.

Cowboys are taking Kelee Ringo #26 overall.

Poyer is going to the Giants.

I think they are in love with their late round 5 foot 6 RB.

Jerrah publicly said they like the current RB room (yesterday he said this re: Taylor)
