Interesting, ESPN is also now saying it was not marijuana per the police.

semantics, but Texas law lists THC as a group 2 substance, which is worse than marijuana

Interesting. A RS with actual NFL receptions.  Could reflect on the severity of Covey’s hamstring or just be a last game of the PS RS signing.

He's also younger than Covey.

@NCiggles  The Giants were good last year. We are biased because the Eagles were the 1 or 1A team all year and killed them.

The Giants were 10-5-1 when not playing the Eagles and 10-3-1 when not playing the Eagles or Cowboys.

I think they could be better on roster talent and still only be 10-7 if they can't start beating Dallas.

In 3 games the Eagles put up 108 points on them.  They had more points against them  than points for them.  They were 8-4-1 in one score games.  I never said they were bad or weren't going to be better but they could regress next season given that a lot of the progression relies on: 1.  improved play from a QB who has struggled with turnovers on downfield throws, 2. a 30 year-old TE who has missed 14 games over the last 2 seasons, and 3) starting receivers who have never put up a 1,000 yard season.

Is the law in TX no weed at all, or to get this charge does it have to be over a certain amount (like Hurd and the intent to distribute charge)? Considering where we are with weed in the country, I'm surprised, but not surprised, that there are states that haven't at the least decriminalized possession of it. Making it legal is another story.

Welcome to PA where it is quite possible with weed on the ballot with another issue in OH in November where we may be surrounded by states with legal recreational weed. Such a stupid policy from stricter a sin tax revenue position alone.

That said, the marijuana laws in Texas remain onerous.  By weight. So THC in vapes or edibles are graded by the overall weight including the non THC components.  Easy to face felony charges by weight in Texas. Meanwhile, NM has legalized as have the Nations in OK and LA is getting closer every day.

Im kind of excited to have signed a guy with actual NFL return experience.

The Giants will probably regress if I had to bet on it.  Our division should be tougher overall, so I expect us to lose a few more games than last season too. Hopefully we can still manage a high seed, or the 1, but I'll be happy with NFC east champs and whatever seed that brings.

Law is all about some  semantics.

Rashaad Penny breaks off a couple 60 yarders opening day and suddenly he’s getting 2/3rds of the carries. Gainwell may start, but impossible to say who will flourish most in Oct/Nov/Dec when we’re still in August

So, Bud Light, hoping to reignite market share, is having a promotion giving away free stuff, including NFL Sunday Ticket and other NFL stuff.   Just signing up gets a 20% off code for the NFL Shop.  @VaBeach_Eagle can possibly let us know if the Fanatics link for the EMB works for NFL Shop.  If so, perhaps get Kelly Green with money for the EMB with a 20% discount.  Note they want your Email address.  NBD for me as I maintain a yahoo email for Spam emails.  You can enter every day.  Here’s the link

https://www.budlight.com/nfl

I'm not sure, I'll look into it. My thought though is that even though the products on NFLShop are from Fanatics, they aren't linked with regard to the affiliate program. What I'll do though is apply through NFLShop for an affiliate agreement with them and if it's the same, they'll tell me. If not, maybe we'll get approved and I'll add that link to the others.

I'd guess it's just to get through the last game. Covey, Zaccheus, Ward and Watkins are all banged up and probably not playing along with Smith/Brown, so not sure who would return punts at that point. Allen, maybe? But likely will be this guy.

He also overlapped with Brian Johnson at Florida, so there's some familiarity there.

Exactly I'd expect a ton of Penny late in the game if we have leads which this team should.  And Swift is a more talented receiver and runner than Gainwell so we'll see

Get us through last game and then maybe to PS in case those guys can't go week 1 as a PR but who knows?

More importantly... he has experienced doing both KR and PR duties, and personally, I don't see the need for two roster spots for those jobs.  That's a job to be handled by one man.

Don't rain on my parade.  I just want one returner for both KO and Punts. Is that too much to ask for?

I'm not the expert on players playing two positions but I can link you to someone for that.

Yet only three accrued seasons so no guarantee on salary should he be on the roster week one.  That said Miami has released him twice in the last year and the Broncos once in between.

If this is based off the pod a day or two ago, that's pretty misleading. Bo speculated it would end up being Gainwell playing the most by the end of the season and he made a dumb sandwich bet with ZBerm on it. It definitely wasn't a report or even an "expected to" statement.

Not a bad bet for Bo. I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if gainwell does. Swift and penny don’t exactly stay healthy. Based off a lot of lions beat reporters an issue (besides staying healthy) lions coaches had with swift was missing holes and not taking the yards that were there as a runner. Frankly  i think the coaches like gainwell more than most on here do. I don’t think it was a coincidence he began seeing more reps and time toward the end of last year.

Interestingly, Wulf has cleaned up his writing this year on The Athletic. His article on Patullo’s daughter made me do a double take to verify it wasn’t Berman writing.  His contribution to the practice notes also don’t have his attempts at humor schtick which is awful.  A few of his articles retained that garbage, which frankly contributes to me avoiding the podcast.  That said, there are many in here that I value their football knowledge more than I do Wulf (or Kempski or Gowton).
