By the end of the season Lance may well be starting after the other two are benched or injured.

Then Lance gets hurt and its Phillip Rivers time, baby!

in Texas state law, even possessing just a gram of THC is an immediate felony. That place is rough

Reason #4,983 why it would suck major balls to live in that hell hole.

If they traded a 2nd or 3rd for Taylor, they already gave up a 4th for Swift. They would be trading half of their best picks next year for RBs. If anyone knows anything about how the Eagles allocate resources you'd know that isn't going to happen.

We still have an extra 2nd, but agreed, it would be silly.

Purdy played well under pressure.  It's not slight on him at all.  More highly touted guys have performed much worse under pressure than he did.  Howehe quver, I think it speaks a lot more towards the level of talent across the board in SF than it does to Purdy's actual ability to play football.  You or I could probably start in San Fran and have some success there.

Kyle Shanahan's system gets QBs hurt.  It's only a matter of time until Purdy gets hurt, then it's gonna be Darnold time.

I don't think he played well under pressure at all. He made lots of open throws with no pressure.

Here is a mash up of his bad throws and its lengthy.

He lost the Cowboys divisional game but Diggs dropped a Purdy gift that Anthony Barr deflected in the red zone and Dak saved Purdy by being worse than Purdy.

Beating up bad D Seattle is not under pressure. Playing to a home crowd in Vegas and LA is not under pressure.

His schedule and crowds were Easy Button.

It looks like he was responsible for 3 sacks.  2 because of Reddick and one from Graham.  Graham just destroyed him.

I did not say he was good; I said he was going to be good. Thomas was pretty bad his first year and a half before he figured it out.

Swift was traded for a 2025 pick

Understand, but don't think Howie isn't thinking about that aspect of it. This draft also could have set them up to not have as many needs next year, so he'd be willing to wait two years to get a 3rd back. I wouldn't do it, I'd say the chances are low, but that would take the sting out of it a bit.

I think they are fine there and don't need to make a move except for a LB or punter. I'd also like to see them dump Barnett.

Man! Talk about reading a QB's eyes. He telegraphs every throw.

I think they are in love with their late round 5 foot 6 RB.

Jerrah publicly said they like the current RB room (yesterday he said this re: Taylor)

I think they’d still find ways to use him. Plus i don’t think the cowboys coaching staff loves pollard as much they should. It took basically zeke completely falling off last year and getting hurt to get his touches up. they still wanted to use him a ton even though pollard has been the more effective back for 2 years. Can say it was zeke’s contract but think it was more than just that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they let pollard walk next offseason.

also think pollard’s injury happening in the divisional round that they would make a deal cause i don’t think malik or Vaughn are going to be enough if pollard isn’t able to get back to his previous form.

Depends on where you are. It can be hot as hell and you can't mind bugs but there are some nice areas. That being said I'm glad I didn't move there when I was thinking about it. Homes used to be cheap and they were beautiful.

He looks like a Mr. Irrelevant.

The 49ers ran for

  • 209
  • 170
  • 153
  • 170
  • 169
  • 181

In the 6 games where people were pretending he looked great, he was still making all those throws right at defenders when everything was going his way.

Against Dallas he fell apart.

Even in his first appearance in relief against Miami the Dolphins had no starting OTs. They ran for 33 yards all day. There was zero pressure to have to score a bunch against them. In the second half he got 3 FGs out of drives starting on the SF 36, SF 36, and the Miami 25. Jimmy G led them to a FG before getting hurt and SF scored on D. He was not great that game. He did have a nice 2 minute drill before the half.

Is it mandatory that the Phillies are down 1 or more runs in the first inning of every game?

Interesting on Lance - kid is still young for his career

The Patriots just cut a Siposs upgrade. Michael Palardy.

Its not that he is great. Its that Siposs is a bad punter.

The other guy has a better net, gross, inside 20 % and a touch worse touchback %

Still young but frankly i think niners next offseason are likely gonna trade him for peanuts to get some cap relief or just release him next offseason and take the dead money hit.

Yes.  Same reason Schwarber remains the lead off guy... don't knock it if it works.

Agree. Someone somewhere will think he could be hard for a bargain and the cap relief will lower the price.

Wonder if the Niners will look at someone like Went as a 3rd QB. Lol

I’m betting he’s with the colts and gets dealt at the trade deadline if he’s healthy and the colts are out of it.

Goes hand in hand with his inexperience (including NCAA).  He's still super raw.  I'd be down for bringing him in when he is inevitably cut.

Biggest concern in the playoff you get behind and face top tier bullpens and they start pressing trying to hit and make up for it.

I wouldn’t entirely be shocked if purdy/darnold doesn’t work for niners if they try to make a move for someone like kirk cousins next offseason. I think he Vikings would take the cap hit if they got decent compensation as they are highly unlikely going anywhere with cousins.

Nonsense.  It is working.  Give them a little cushion then break their hearts.   Just like having a guy batting 0.185 at the top of the lineup is working.

Purdy is a nice story, but relied on a running game to get by.  He's stands a chance, but your are right. Cousins has been quietly talked about as a Shanny target.  Just not sure he'll win the big one though.
