I dunno just speculating about whatever McLane is talking about. They have about 5 deep reserves to play T for the game, so he's not really needed for tomorrow if they feel good enough about him being 2nd string LT.

Eagles haven't even announced anything about it yet which is odd.

Smith hasn’t practiced all week with the shoulder injury so no chance he plays imo.

Only thing that makes sense IF they intend to keep him is that they reworked his deal and that got recorded as a release in the process. I can't imagine they'd cut some little known OL they intend to keep so he doesn't have to play in a preseason game.  Simplest answer of course is that they are cutting him

I'm not sure what they'll do. I expect them to keep 5 and if they keep 6, I'll be surprised. They had no problem walking away from all that money they gave Carson Strong last year and he couldn't even get into a preseason game.

Yeah is there really a team that is so weak on their 53 that they'll hand Ngata a spot?  I like Ngata and hope he sticks around but I don't see teams lining up to give him a roster spot based on the preseason or a few nice comments from beats about practice

Yup. Wish JT would figure his crap out. People were bagging on Turner but realmuto first half of last year and most of this year has just not been very good at the plate especially with RISP

We’ll see. Howie does weird things this time of year. If it was just a cut you’d think they would have made it official already. 

Also I’m not suggesting the reason is so he doesn’t have to play. The reason is they need a roster spot, and he happens to be a guy who doesn’t need to clear waivers, has a small enough contract their isn’t any change in releasing him and he’s the type of guy you can convince to hang tight for a day or two before resigning.
