I think from about page 530-now is a heavy dose of sarcasm font from lots of people.

Bizarro Ravens

My hope is that they will have more plays that look like ROs, but are just straight gives to minimize those runs for Hurts.

From the flip side, if I'm a DC, I want Hurts running and taking those extra shots.

If Watkins plays like he can, the offense may be able to create so many mismatches (especially if Swift adds to the passing game) that they pass more than they run at least in the 1st half of games.

And if Sirianni wins at least 12 games this year, he’ll be top 10 alltime in winning percentage for coaches with at least 50 games

Sorry if this has been asked and answered. Any word if any starters are playing tonight? I'm visiting family in England and don't wanna stay up another hour (1am). I did last week. Fool me once lol

The starters will not play.  Most key backups will be extremely limited as well.

Nothing official has been announced but I wouldn't stay up.

Rumor is Mariota is playing one series and the rest is mostly McKee, so no.

Anthony Richardson and some Colts starters are playing if your into that kind of thing.

First...Have you actually watched him play?  Half of his incompletions were drops.  He is poised and puts the ball on target.

Second...Please name the 3rd and 4th stringers that did better than 10-18.

Third...Only you get excited when they see pretty balls.  NTTIAWWT.

Oh, no,  the people who like hte running QBs don't care about pretty balls,  it's the pass firsters who love the balls.

Yeah,  I remember people getting all excited about McKee's great incomplete passes.

I'll have to make a list of QBs I barely heard of with a better completion percentage better than 10/18.  The week before the completion percentage was worse, but we'll go with 1 completion more than .500 or better.  Some of these might be 2nd rounders,  some 3rd, some 4th.

Colts - Sam Ehlinger 9/14
Bears - Tyson Bagent 9/10
DC - Jacoby Brissett 7/11
DC - Jake Fromm 10/16
Ravens - Josh Johnson 10/12
Saints - Jake Haener 11/17
Cowboys - Will Grier 13/18
Cowboys - Cooper Rush 9/14
Rams - Stetson Bennett 15/24
Rams - Brett Rypien 4/4
Raiders - Aiden O'Connell 11/18
Niners - Trey Lance 12/18
Niners - Sam Darnold 11/14
Packers - Sean Clifford 13/19
Chiefs - Blaine Gabbert 7/8
Chiefs - Shane Buechele 10/10
Chiefs - Chris Oladukune 4/5
Bucs - Kyle Trask 20/28
Bucs - John Wolford 4/4
Steelers - Mitch Trubisky 10/18
Steelers - Mason Rudolph 5/7
Dolphins - Skylar Thompson 15/22
Jaguars - Nathan Rourke 10/12
Jaguars - CJ Beathard 12/20
Bengals - Jake Browning 16/22
Giants - Tyrod Taylore 9/13
Giants - Tommy DeVito 9/11

Interesting, Duffy says F Johnson can play four positions on the line, so three G/Ts.

His technique is terrible.

That said, he’s got just the coach to fix that. He’s huge and has pretty good feet. Right now the game is too fast for him but when it slows down we may have something. Those flailing arms make crazy, though.

That's awesome, Lets win 16 or 17 and 3 more.

BTW, LaFleur is 4th all-time in win % but the Rodgers sniffing propaganda crowd says he's bad. (Rodgers was 30-24-1 in the 4 years before LaFleur)

Is it going to slow down for a guy that’s been in the league for 5 years now?

If we are trying to evaluate players on offense, specifically in the passing game, then having Mariota out there is a waste.  He's not a good passer, McKee has already proven to be far better than him in that arena.

As for the last bit... thanks for the laugh.  Gotta be trolling!

McKee hasn't played in a real regular season NFL game.

"He's not a good passer, McKee has already proven to be far better than him in that arena. "

Interesting theory about preseason games being more important than regular season games.  And the 2nd half of preseason games are the toughest challenge are the toughest.

The response you deserve is more harsh than the message board rules would allow.

Mariota hasn't thrown well in the preseason games.  Neither has McKee.  But Mariota has been an average NFL starter for years.  And McKee has done nothing in the NFL than have a below 60% completion rate in the 2nd halves of preseason games.  Not "good".  Below "good".

Coaching might help him.

I don't know why I keep responding to you, but no.

I think the Eagles should just cut him.

The people here who like McKee are just so stupid, they're like the Carson Strong fans from last year.  I think cutting McKee would drive away the stupidest Eagles fans.

What a strange hill to die on considering every beat writer is questioning Mariota's performance in the preseason and McKee has gotten positive reviews from people who know what they are talking about.

Neither has been good this preseason.

Mariota has been an average NFL starter.

Seems to be some decent athletic clay that came late to the game for Stoutland to try to mold.  Worth the roster spot... let Stout cook.

Yeah... the bolded is the point... trust the OL and the running game if it comes down to Mariota.

Going by recent history, not from 8 seasons ago... 1 game with a win with more than 20 attempts.  1.

Running QBs are best.   Good OL run blocking,  good run game,  fast running QB,  points and wins.

I agree that the Falcons and Mariota won more often when Mariota threw less.

However,  you have losses where the Falcons scored 26 or 27 and Mariota had 33 or 26 attempts.  I'd say that a target number of attempts wouldn't be 40 or 60,  but 25-30.  15-20 could work too, but 25-30 seems more normal.  What were Hurts attempts?  Last year 7 games 25-29 attempts,  7 games 30+.  So,  Mariotas high attempts overlaps with Jalens low attempts.  It works.

You keep scouting the box scores.  Let me know when you advance beyond that.

We’re a few weeks away from fantasy points used in argument. So we got that going for us.
