I like Sydney Brown's potential but I also think some of this is preseason stat nonsense

Yup

I think pre season stats are useless

Cant remember the dudes name but a few years back the eagles had a RB was the same time they had mostert, and this guy led preseason in rush yards by a lot and he looked awesome, cut downs come he gets cut I think the jags kick him up he gets cut, never amounted to anything in the NFL.

I'm not saying that's Sidney Brown just saying pre season stats don't really mean much.

Having said that the way Sidney Brown played looked pretty good, he was around the ball and flew down hill in a hurry with bad intentions.

I like his attitude and how he plays with reckless abandon and seems to have a chip on his shoulder.

I think he's just going to get better, not sure what his ceiling is but we'll see.

Chess pie has a custard filling composed mainly of flour, butter, sugar, eggs, and sometimes milk.  It is like pecan pie without any nuts.  A recipe explicitly called chess pie appeared in the 1877 cookbook by Estelle Woods Wilcox who was asked many, many times what kind of pie it was.  Her response always was "It's jes' pie" in her Southern accent, which in time became "It’s chess pie.”

Sounds good, I love custard, I'm going to have to try it.

Thanks for the history behind it as well👍

24 years old. Can Stoutland mold him?

I don’t know but his last name makes no sense. Leather can’t be wood. Pick a material and stick with it. You either come from a tree or come from animal skin.

The term cornhole has a long history.

This is as far back as my history of Cornhole goes...

Though I'm guessing this isn't what you are referring to.

No politics

Anybody notice how Taylor talk completely disintegrated over the weekend? I’d be surprised if he’s traded.

Opeta is a jag. Not worth a roster spot. Keep 8 and stock your practice squad with any combination of Sills, Opeta, Andrews and another developmental project or 2 from other squads. I am preserving 2 roster spots by going light at Offensive line (8) and keeping the punter position fluid on the practice squad. Going heavier in the secondary and defensive line where there's some good youth coming up. Revisit roster in a few weeks and create optionality. There will probably be a few injuries to make the decision very easy on roster management.

Has an eagle team ever carried only 8 OL?

Has any Eagle team had a 16 player Practice Squad?

The last two or three have, yes.

There are 3 kinds of turd ….

Robbie Gould and Mason Crosby are free agents still. The Patriots are either going to cut Nick Folk or the guy they drafted to replace him. The Titans won’t have much difficulty finding someone who is not only experienced but also has a proven record of success.

I agree but the titans also thought that was a great plan when they signed Stephen Gostkowski and he wound up being awful for them. I doubt they do but i could see whichever of Mason, folk and Gould they sign (who are all 38+) having a potential decline

As opposed to a Rain Main-like obsession with Freakbeast hypotheticals...

He types a post where he challenges me to go find errors in his post and then says yet another wrong thing,  this time about the Raiders drafts.

Pretty funny.  I didn't have to leave the actual post to find something new and wrong from him.

You might not care about versatile freakbeasts.  So what?

QBR can not be calculated without actual football plays happening in an actual game.

RAS can not be calculated from either actual football plays or from anything that happens in an actual game.

that's very nice.  The combine and pro days are football events.  The NFL Combine is an NFL event.

You seem to think that what you're saying is of strong relevance. It has some merit, but it's a stretch.  I'm analyzing objective data from an NFL event.  I'm not inventing ras or sparq.  Just talking about it.

The term goes much further back and with a very specific meaning.

It sounded like something @hputenis would be into…

I expect him to be on the Practice Squad rather than the 53.  I believe he doesn’t have to go through waivers due to his NFL tenure.  If that is correct he doesn’t have to accept the overtures/claims of any other team

True.  But, if another team wanted to add him to their roster... he'd be a fool not to take it.

They took that Chance on him resurrecting Warmack's career.   Not sure why they wouldn't at least bring him in for a workout.

The RAS contains a bunch of made up numbers.  It's stupid.
