Robbie Gould and Mason Crosby are free agents still. The Patriots are either going to cut Nick Folk or the guy they drafted to replace him. The Titans won’t have much difficulty finding someone who is not only experienced but also has a proven record of success.

Can either of them punt?  I've heard we need to add a punter and it doesn't matter if they are actually better than Siposs or not.

The RAS contains a bunch of made up numbers.  It's stupid.

So does the lottery, but that has folks tripping over themselves to play!

Somewhere along the way Howie learned to draft at an elite level.

The Reagor/JJAW days might as well be a distant bad dream.

RIP rest of NFL.

Think about that.  76 plays, 1 target.  Flawed grading.  One because the Eagles play more Man, single high in PS to put those CBs on an island to really test them. Two because Brown mainly played the single high S or deep S in Zone.  His job was to provide support.  Basically to do what my high school coach used to say.  "The position is called safety for a reason, keep everything in front of you.”

That said, I liked what I saw from Brown.  At deep S, I thought he excelled over the other Ss.  Next (playing deep or high) was Wallace.  I thought Edmunds played a little too deep (but kept everything in front of him, just a little late in arriving in support) but he beat out Wallace in the box.  He is very good near the LOS.  Wallace is better there than two, three years ago playing low.   Frankly, if Tristan McCollum played more snaps and not in chaos time, I am not sure I wouldn’t have him ranked above Evans high/deep.  Evans missed on coverage/support multiple times and he frankly missed tackles and missed location in the box too.

Admittedly, I haven’t watched the All22 for the last game (and probably won’t) and I didn’t see the one on ones, 7 on 7s or 11 on 11s so my biases and observations are from the first two games All22 and broadcast versions of all three games.

I did not even know that existed.

House of Pies has it (they call it buttermilk pie) so I may try it this week.

House of Pies on Westheimer was our go to place after concerts or with the munchies late at night in my youth when we wanted a sweet treat.

Cant remember the dudes name but a few years back the eagles had a RB was the same time they had mostert, and this guy led preseason in rush yards by a lot and he looked awesome, cut downs come he gets cut I think the jags kick him up he gets cut, never amounted to anything in the NFL.

Sounds like they may be practicing the strategy @FranklinFldEBUpper suggested for Sisposs.

It was funny but in a Deliverance sort of way.

It was a rhetorical question.

that's very nice.  The combine and pro days are football events.  The NFL Combine is an NFL event.

You seem to think that what you're saying is of strong relevance. It has some merit, but it's a stretch.  I'm analyzing objective data from an NFL event.  I'm not inventing ras or sparq.  Just talking about it.

Not talking … pontificating, and/or bloviating.

LB and P are two positions that still need refining.  Excluding the Edge, LB in the middle is thin and no clear back-up who can step in when injury happens.  There may be cuts from other teams that could be of value.  Bringing someone in at this late stage would need time for him to learn the plays and sync in with the rest of defense.

On P, we are stuck by the same player from last season who did not go all that well, and with little improving in TC.  Again cuts from other teams and on the street vets are the place to find improvement.  Good thing is that this is a position does not need a lot of coordination with others, except when the P is the PK holder.

BTW, the suggestion to go light at OL, 8 instead of usual 10, could open extra spots for other position groups, where the extra player could help to solidify the rotation and/or ST contributors.

I agree with you about Punter, but I’m not at all uncomfortable with Elliss as the first backup LB in the middle.  He isn’t a proven commodity with a wealth of NFL snaps, but what we have seen so far is encouraging.  I’m willing to let it play out at LB.

The annual NFL agent survey came out - the comments about Howie are:

  • "Howie deserves so much credit, but a GM is only as good as their scouts, and the Eagles have had a great staff.”
  • "Look, I hate to say it, but (Roseman) keeps putting together good rosters and wins games.”
  • "Sometimes he’s cutthroat, but (Roseman) finds a way to get the right guys for the roster and their salary cap.”
  • “(Roseman) gets ahead of extensions and gets guys to take less money. That’s a sign.”

Nothing that surprising

But the comments on Irsay are kind of funny

They took that Chance on him resurrecting Warmack's career.   Not sure why they wouldn't at least bring him in for a workout.

And he is a Bama player

Elliss is in.  Dean and Cummingham make only 3 LBs on the roster.  That is thin and it would make sense to add at least one more.

The term goes much further back and with a very specific meaning.

If one is referring to anal sex then that's not really something most people don't know, I was surprised to learn that the term cornhole for that act goes as far back as 1910, I figured back then among farming communities who were most likely religious were just into missionary🤷‍♂️except with their sheep which is where maybe the term originated 😉

Johnson, Johnson, Smith, and Reddick are all LBs as well.  I’m okay with that.  Morrow will more than likely be on either the roster or the PS.  I realize he has been passed by Cunningham, but as the #4 ILB he is more than serviceable.  I doubt a cut LB from another team is going to be better than Morrow.  That means Howie will have to swing a trade to "upgrade” ILB depth.  I don’t see that as a likely use of resources.

I’d have way more fun with anonymity.

This is the last day of non practice Nolan Smith can have without it being a huge red flag
