Sign me up for Ricks over Jobe as the first outside corner off the bench and Scott in the slot over Jobe going outside with Bradberry in the slot.

Rick’s been playing in the slot, where his lack of speed but decent lateral quickness is an asset.  Jobe strictly played outside.  He is a little slow but this obsession that he is awful is misplaced.  Would I rather have McPhearson as the #3 OCB?  Yes.  But I would rather have a healthy Maddox at nickel.  That said, the play of Jobe at OCB and Ricks at nickel/third S hasn’t been bad.   The disappointment in the secondary is Ringo so far.

Getting Reed Blakenship, Josh Jobe and Eli Ricks in back to back draft is just good scouting. Just need one more safety to fill out the group.

So, we are anointing them already?

When Jalen Hurts does it, Brotherly Shove

When 13yo Brock Purdy does it, Tush Push

When Anthony Richardson does it, Donkey Punch

When Dak Prescott does it, Ram Ranch

When Kirk Cousins does it, should have kicked the field goal

Blankenship, yes.

Jobe and Ricks being playable as UDFAs = a win, even if they max out as below-average starters/good backups.

I agree.   Your post made it seem like you were being anointing them into the starting secondary for the future.   I'm not there yet.    And, I'd like to see Blankenship a lot more too.  He played well last year in his limited action, but has only had limited action so far this year as well.  He's got some skills, but he needs to be on the field.  And, as he's on the field, other teams might get more of a book on him and he might not look so good.   No need to anoint any of them just yet.   Lots of football left to be played.

I don’t think it was his responsibility. Saw a few of the film guys I like back the assertion that he has the TE and and Brown had over the top responsibility.

It was the worst possible call in that situation. Sometimes you gotta tip the cap to the other team. We were probably expecting an in-cutting route and they made us pay.

Really need to see the All-22 to see Brown’s positioning and what was showing on the other side of the field.  I tend to think you are right about this.  That said, Hill might be the most difficult WR to cover since Marvin Harrison.

Getting Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Nakobe Dean, and Reed Blankenship out of one rookie class is pretty damn good. 4 starters a year in is nuts.

The only thing WAWA's have going for it are the soft pretzels.

WaWa's soft pretzels are garbage now. They were great before they switched vendors quite a few years ago.

Most overrated player of the last decade

Saints saw this and expected the missing piece. Blows my mind

PS I need to do a better job wording my posts. He made bad plays but I don't want to make it sound like he was bad when I say it's not a thumping our chest win. That wasn't putting down the win so much as a response to a particular post.

Eagles are a good team and my approach is probably similar to Nick or what Jalen would say. Good win but we have a lot to improve if we want to reach our goal. The DC is absolutely taking a step in the right direction and is possibly the most exciting thing coming out of last night. If Howie can get him another piece or two (being greedy) along with guys getting healthy they can be scary on that side of the ball. On the other side I put a lot more blame on BJ than Hurts.

The thing I will give them both credit for is that they adjusted.  The Red Zone offense was much different after the first drive.  It wasn't anything too cute.  It was just solid calls and throwing it to their playmakers.  After the INT, the team buckled down and moved the ball.  BJ didn't have them turtle up into a shell.  He had them throwing the ball to move it methodically.  Hurts plays unaffected by his mistakes.  He didn't go out and try to make up for his pick 6 and earlier fumble in one play.  He just focused on executing the offense.  They fumbled and the he led them on consecutive TD drives.  He throws the INT and the same thing happens with the last TD drive basically ending the game.  I want the red zone offense to not look so predictable.  I am tired of 2 yard runs to Gainwell.  Hurts needs to protect the ball.  At the same time, you cannot understate how the team performs with him as a QB.

I get more amped up the more I think about this win.

If we're being honest, the Eagles got lucky with their playoff QB matchups on the road to the SB. Daniel Jones is a fraud. They had Josh Johnson/the corpse of Brock Purdy for most of the 49ers game. The Gannon-led defense was doomed to fail this team.

The 2023 Eagles need a safety, they probably need a LB, they need Lane to stay on the field. But they feel more matchup proof than the 2022 team did. This is a special group.

WAWA = overrated.. I'll take SHEETZ for the win.

I live where we have no Wawa and only Sheetz.  Sheetz can be very hit or miss.  It's ok but I have had some sandwiches that were straight trash from them.  I never had that at Wawa but I understand that things have probably changed at Wawa too.

Comment on the color, see the difference in the grass color?  Look at the grass color versus the video on the Goedert picture.  Not all cameras, pictures are capturing the greens the same way.  I doubt the Kelly Green last night was identical to the past but with Nike, that’s a given.  That said, the shade seemed right and to me, preferable to Midnight Green.  Notice that Black isn’t even in the discussion.

Sheetz has them now. Just as good as wawa's.

I always say, Wawa for breakfast. Sheetz for everything else. Thats mainly because of sheetz french fries with the nacho cheese. Too good.

I wouldn't say unpopular opinion. I'm not a big Wawa guy either. With all the mom and pop pizza shops Etc sandwich shops. I don't ever go to Wawa

I hear ya. And I think we all agree we can't keep turning the ball over like that. Overall I'd say he played well enough to win, but some of that was also because he was bailed out by a strong defensive performance against a very dangerous offense. If the defense brings their C- game instead of their A- game last night, those turnovers could've easily been the difference between a win and a loss.

Desai is doing more with a lot less in the secondary.  Adding Carter and an improved Jordan Davis have more than made up for the loss of Hargrave.  They need help in the secondary.  I don't know whether it's possible to add a safety as a difference maker midway through the season.  I think the same can be said for LB.  Howie will probably approach the problem by just trying to add depth rather than a clear starter.   I think that makes sense.

That's crazy.  @hputenis and @EaglePhan1986 both have had more sacks at this point this year compared to last as well!

This is @EaglePhan1986 when he found out I broke his record from last year.

I've been impressed with his play over the past few weeks. Limited snaps but has made good on them.

So is there any rules on what color the offensive linemen gloves have to be?  Meaning to avoid confusion on the Brotherly Shove could Kelce wear like pink or orange gloves?
