I disagree. It absolutely matters. Denver spent a premium asset on him, and he's lived up to the investment. There's no reason for them to trade him at a discount. 

Eagles aren't trading for Surtain.  Jewell seems possible but even that I think is unlikely

We also don't have much left to trade. We have a 1st, two 2nds and a 5th left in 2024.

Agreed that I would pull the trigger on our first for Surtain. I might keep all our CBS though. Bradberry in the slot and depth for the stretch run. Not sure what else it would take — maybe a 2025 third or something along those lines?

Bradberry can't play in the slot. He struggles with the quicker speed archetypes

As it stands, Slay, Bradberry, Roby, Blankenship, and Byard seems like a solid db room that covers every position, when healthy. Ricks and Brown in the wings. Surtain is a star but it reminds me of the hype around trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Yes, getting a star db makes a team better but its not like the impact of an equivalent star at QB, DT, DE, OT, or WR. I'd rather use next year's 1 and NO 2nd to trade up for a RT and shoot for a true Lane replacement.

I think the single wing is amazing, not boring at all.  The service academies are the only true football teams.  The rest are just ballet troops.
