Old guys for old guys so the real trade was primarily Harden for the picks.  Which JAG young guy has better potential, Petrusiv or Martin because that s the only youth in the trade.  Have to believe Philly came out ahead in salary swaps.  More money for Harris for the commies.

Yeah the real assets are the draft capital. That 2028 unprotected is especially valuable, which I'm sure Morey will use in a future trade. KJ Martin is more intriguing than Petrusev for sure, but he's really only got athleticism and dunking ability. Petrusev will likely be cut.

I wouldn't discount Batum's ability off the bench while RoCo could be a starter. Morris is a bum though.

Very good trade. I don't think Morey could have twisted their arm anymore on a deal.

Washington trading Sweat, with 2 Cowboys games left and 0 Eagles games left, is very annoying.

Surtain is off the table. Wouldn't want anyone else from there apart from Jewell given costs.

Jewell would become our slowest LB

Young is next

Glad Sweat didn't go to Detroit or San Fran

Jewell is better in coverage than any LB on our team. In fact he's better than any LB on our team

I'd rather Hicks but just imagining what we'd give up here. He would be the only Bronco I see us trading for with Surtain off limits.

Bears trying to get themselves out of the Caleb Williams/Marvin Harrison Jr. potential combo.  4D chess

Any Chase Young takers for a late day 2 pick?

I'd absolutely do that.  Chase Young is going to bring more than that to the Commies.  Although, they declined his 5th year option and he's in an walk year for them.

Washington probably isn’t trading any of those guys within the division. Maybe Howie can pull the "Remember when we traded you guys McNabb?” even though that didn’t work out for them.

They wouldn't have to face Chase Young if they traded him to Philly.

That's a fantastic deal if you're the Commies.  Sweat has an expiring contract and you just traded him for way more than he was worth.

The Bears?  I have no idea what they're doing.  I'd say they are going all in, but I'm not quite sure what they're going all in for?  Perhaps a .500 record?

Can’t wait to get Montez Sweat next year from the Bears for a 2026 6th round pick swap

I hope Howie makes a move, but I think he is probably done. I can't see him giving away a high pick for a rental or a guy you have to give a massive contract to.

lol Bears

Why do the Bears continue to buy at deadlines when their team is terrible? Ryan Poles has not been impressive at all. Thanks for Jalen Carter too btw. Don't like Washington getting that 2nd, but glad Sweat didn't go to the Niners or Chiefs or someone.

Looks like the Bears will be trading for Zach Lavine next.

Howie won't like Morey outshining him on deadline day. Zach is Eagles bound.

Dumb.  Their season is over with Cousins gone and they aren't going to re-sign him after the year.  Yeah, they will get a comp pick when he walks but you'd think they could get more compensation that they could use to get into position for a QB

I mean...what are the Bears doing? Trading a high 2nd round pick for a 27 year old DE you'll have to re-sign to big money? I know they have a ton of cap space next year, but they could have gone into this draft with two top 10 picks and a high 2nd. And they do this?

But homerun for us that he didn't go to an NFC contender.

Yeah I guess unless they have a contingency lined up for Cousins yet to be disclosed.

The Bears were just a pass rusher away 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Actually happy about this - I'd rather everyone see the Birds as the underdog going into this game, I hope the team sees it this way.
