He's playing better since the injury. Not as fearsome as he was pre-injury though.

49ers get a DE rental for one year from Washington and give up just a conditional 4th.

Chase is having his best season this year.  Looking like a double digit sack guy.

Hate seeing SF get better, but they needed CB help not EDGE help. Chase Young is also not this great run defender (although Montez Sweat is).

Chase Young is the real deal, and now he's on a scary D line out in SF. 

If you want a bright side, here it is: the 49ers just traded a 3rd round pick for a guy who will likely only play 9 games for them.

They currently have 1.5 mil for 2024. With roll over they have more. They still have to give aiyuk, Armstead, greenlaw, Hufanga and ward contracts. all need new contracts as they are FA at the end of 2024. And purdy is in need for a new deal at the end of 2024. 

So it will be a comp pick. LOL - Ryan Poles should just resign already.

 

Eagles are done. Expect a vet signing soon ala Suh/Joseph last year but that's about it.

Interesting. I read somewhere that the NFL changed the rules to put a stop to trades like this, but guess it was wrong.
