In the All22, you could really see the breakdown in communication and understanding where the other player would be.  Really impacted the back seven.

Makes sense as there was so much turnover with so many new faces

I think moving Bradberry to slot is only an option if there isn't another one. Right now I expect Goodrich to prepare for that role and be given a chance to settle in as the guy moving forward. One game where he hadn't even practiced with the 1st team beforehand is not the most accurate gauge of what he will become. He made the team over J. Scott. Scott had some ups and downs last season and some people only remember the "downs," but he was mostly solid for a backup. If Goodrich can surpass that performance, we should be fine.

Bradberry in the slot is strictly a matchup issue. He's an outside corner who drops inside against guys like Travis Kelce when they line up there, not against smaller quicker guys. Teams will counter that by lining their big receiver outside and motioning him into the slot. How we adjust to that is where Desai makes his money.

Back during the Pederson era it seemed like Howie was stocking up on nickel corners and now we find ourself in a situation where we have a ton of corners but no one to play nickel.

First round pick Nolan Smith has played 13 snaps on defense in 2 games… Yikes.

Anyone get YouTube Sunday ticket that had directv Sunday ticket? How’s your impression been so far?

Love it. Easy, Can catch up to live TV after watching key highlights of you want. Very simply to navigate. I just wish they had a multi-cast option but other than that. Just as easy on the phone on the go.

That didn't work out well when we were stuck with Josh Adams/Wendell Smallwood for a year.

You know what’s amazing about that 2018 year, is that Boston scott and Barnett were on that team and yet still here. Only other players still here from that team are kelce, mailata, goedert, maddox, lane, graham and Cox which are starting caliber players.

Yeah, that's not looking good, but obviously early

We heard this last year with Jordan Davis and now look at him.

Give these kids some time, like F.

Meanwhile Sheil keeps floating this completely nonsensical stat that says that Jalen had one of the worst QB games ever on Thursday.  Maybe that saus all you need to know about those nonsense analytical stats.  This isn't baseball.

I mean, we did have Swift get 1 carry on 60 minutes week 1. Clearly the coordinators aren’t doing their best work lol.

@mattwill Eagles 38 Bucs 17

Bonus: AJ with two TDs.

Love Franzke's call...

That's a better call than McCarthy's... mostly because with McCarthy's you can hear Kruk's response in real time...   Of course, that makes it even better.   Castellanos went against 'conventional wisdom' on that play, but it all worked out.    No, no, no - YES!  But, at the same time, that's not a play you would want him to make frequently, because there's a fairly low probability of success.  Then again, Acuna was batting next, so... 🤷‍♂️

And?

At best, he's EDGE #4.

Yup.  The RB you have need to have SOME sort of talent.   RBs can often be missed in the draft process, but it comes down to how well you scout the position to find a fit for your scheme and a fit for the NFL.

The Eagles don't feature rookies.  It seems to be an organizational philosophy that draft picks are brought along gradually.

Is that really a concern?  2nd round pick Cam Jurgens played basically 0 snaps the entire season last year.

Smith is a long term pick, not a short term solution.  Jalen Carter is both.  Teams get into trouble trying to find the short term solution to the detriment of ignoring the more raw player with the greater upside... or taking the player with the greater upside and then throwing them to the wolves too soon.

This.

The only rookies who get run are either top 10 picks (Lane Johnson, Devonta Smith, Jalen Carter) or due to injury (Reed Blankenship, Landon Dickerson, Kenny Gainwell).

To be fair Jurgens was drafted to replace a HOF center that decided not to retire and keep playing
