@BigEFly If Bradberry covers the slot, will the Eagles play man or will they play zone behind it? Whaddya think?

Hi.  I'm not BigEFly, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

I don't think the coverages will be determined by Bradberry's presence in the slot.  More likely drive by down/distance, field position, pressure concept, etc.

I do, however, expect some adjustment by TB to get Evans on Jobe as much as possible.

Just noticed... with the new theme provided by @VaBeach_Eagle, the tags are KELLY GREEN!

@VaBeach_Eagle may not be the hero we wanted, but he is DEFINITELY the hero we needed!!!

I've seen numerous tweets about this today and I have no idea what people are seeing

Nice!

Good for Devon Allen to finally play in a NFL game.  Perhaps we will finally have some good punt and kick coverage on special teams now.

I read your post ... all 12 words of it.

So what part of those 12 words were you confused on when you asked me if I wanted Bradberry to cover Evans?

More Caplan intel dropped. "Ribs” means multiple. If it was a single rib the injury report would say "Rib”.

Don't put 'Caplan' and 'intel' in the same sentence.

Seriously.  Never again.

They will play zone more than anything.  Been playing less quarters than under Gannon.  Looks like more Cover 6 with some Tampa 2.. They play more Cover 1 than I recall with Gannon.   A disguised version that can be Cover 2 or dropping the S into almost a robber invert I think depending on a read that looks like a Cover 7 to me.   (Edmunds actually does that well.) They have had a tendency to Match with Maddox and I suspect some with Bradberry in the slot. Frankly, with Slay following a single receiver, I would like to see more Man Match. I think Jobe is up to it.  I doubt we will see press with this secondary.  The do a better job of hiding the coverages but it is a work in progress and with three - five starters out last week positioning at times looked confused.  Frankly, towards the end of the game, I think I was guessing at Coverages as much as Goodrich.  Defense is more flexible with Evans and Blankenship than with Edmunds.  Although I thought Edmunds was better last week than most.  Would be interesting to see a three S look with those two and Brown.

Last week, they were small in the secondary.  Evans is a smallish S (so is Reed to a degree), Goodrich is a small slot (Maddox plays above his weight and height which gets him banged up), Jobe is a bit small and Slay is practically the same size.  They get some size back with Bradberry returning.
