Has Jurgens been an upgrade over Seumalo?  Any options on that?  Without watching games a second time, it feels like he might be. @just relax?

In comparison to last year, I feel like DT has been upgraded.  I do think RG is either a bit better or no worse than a wash.

Blankenship is playing at a pretty darn high level, but the Evans/Edmunds platoon is a downgrade from even the unspectacular Epps.

RB has been upgraded.

LB...after week 1, I'd have said things are much worse.  But Morrow/Cunningham really haven't been much of a step back from Edwards/White.  Maybe it's the extra juice up front, but the've solidified things in the last 2 weeks.

Even though it's the same player, QB has obviously been different for us this year.  Hopefully that changes very soon...I expect it will.

I think the area where we have some pain ahead is CB.  I don't think Bradberry/Slay are going to play to expectations this year.

PFF Grades through week 3:

Isaac Seumalo: 55.5

Cam Jurgens: 62.5

PFF is not a definitive authority, but it is considered the consensus best evaluation database.

So I just wanted to thank everybody on here, the last week has been kind of stressful and emotional. On Thursday evening, I took my dog to the vet as he has been huffing and coughing. They took an x-ray of his chest and there’s was a giant mass on his left lung. It was the size of a hand. At that point my vet didn’t think it could be operated on. It was too big and close to his aorta.

So I had to make an appointment for a CT scan to definitively know if it was operable and if he could have chemo/radiation. So on Monday that happened. And we found out it could be removed and still have a good quality of life afterwards and recovery was usually really good.

His surgery was this morning into the afternoon. And it was super stressful. I know it’s not a person or family member like a brother or sister or parents, but this place is the only thing  that helped me the pass time so that I wasn’t continuously just thinking about the worst. So just wanted to say thank you to everyone even though you guys didn’t know it you helped me really get through a challenging week.

Great news about your dog.

Glad we were here for you. Blog has changed a lot over the years. Though Ive never met anyone from here in real life, at its best times its felt almost like a family in here where you were excited to share good news.

At its worst, its still a reliable place to read, and post, and pass time.

I can’t wait for my Carter Jersey

I’m holding off until next year for Carter’s jersey, as I expect it to have the new word mark. I did the Kelce Kelly green this year. I do have 4 autographed rookie cards, a shirsey, and a knockoff hoodie jersey though. And $500 down for him to get DROY.

Crazy to say but, yeah it has. We can argue Hargrave vs Carter all we want but the biggest factor there is Davis. Dude went from a run stopper to a line wrecker so far.

The Eagles might have the best OL in the NFL.  They might have the best DL in the NFL.  Collectively, they are definitely the best team in the trenches in the NFL.

Do you know what is most amazing about this?  Their lines are ENTIRELY drafted.  The whole OL left to right.  (Depending on how you identify Reddick), their entire DL and the waves of depth.  All drafted.

Granted, they should have great lines considering how heavily they draft them.  But still...I think Dillard in 2019 was probably the last lineman they drafted that disappointed.

I criticize when they do stupid things in the draft, but they deserve credit for this.  However, their formula for drafting linemen has significantly changed.  No more Derrick Barnetts.  They draft guys that are talented.

Indeed.

An emphasis on athleticism along the OL began with Howard Mudd and Jason Kelce. That emphasis shifted later at DL, and to me it began with Sweat — an ultra talented former #1 HS recruit in the country, who because of a knee injury and poor schematic fit was an underperformed in college and available in the mid rounds.

The pick that really solidified it to me though was trading up for Jordan Davis. This was not a pick I think the eagles would have made in the past. They looked beyond the obvious function of a space eating NT, saw his shocking athleticism, and thought, "maybe there is a greater potential than just a run stuffer.”

So far, I think this is prescient. Through 3 games Davis quietly leads the eagles defense in sacks and TFLs, and is third in total tackles. I think there is an argument that he has been our best defensive player overall.

Was just thinking about it. Why isn't there a call to get moving the pile banned from the league?

It's similar to the play they are calling to get banned

Hargrave is playing very well this year and the analytics have always loved him.  But the dude is 30.  I'd have done anything for him to go anywhere besides SF, but it was right to let him go.

So what money comes free when BG and kelce retire?

Keep in mind you're marrying tush push should be illegal.  I don't think any of us wants a tush pushless marriage.

I thought i was marrying everyone always debating whether it should be illegal or not. If it’s to be illegal then i kill that

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!  Maybe the bullpen needs to always pitch hungover.  Soto's slider was nasty tonight.

I've never met any of you lunatics before.  Now that the blog is a less trafficked and tighter community, I've been less reluctant to share personal stories and info with everyone.  I even threw my instagram handle on the profile here.

I haven't really gotten in any fights with anyone in a long time.  I miss that.  Maybe I miss Afan.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! great to hear the positive news.  Those attachments can be stronger than people.

Harper had 8 total bases tonight... including the game winning HR.

My wife made the tush push illegal already.  Never even went to the competition committee.

89 wins… would be nice to get to 90+ and have good momentum heading into October

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! great news about your dog but also nice to know this odd small online community that was discussed as an obsession earlier today was a release for you. We all come here for different reasons but the fact of the matter is a select handful are in constant communication without really putting much thought in to it...even RTK with his anti-Phillies takes.
