Yeah, it’s one of those games where I could see it happening either way. And either way, I’d be happy in one way, and disgusted in another.

Yea, I hear ya. Gotta root for a Dallas loss though. Need more cushion for the division which is more consequential long term, plus we'll have our H2H against 49ers to come ahead of them in seeding.

What would a tie do?

The lions have a very good offensive line currently, but I don’t recall what it was like the last couple years. Last year it was OK but I think this year they’ve gone to another level.

Lions oline was good last year. Williams was really good for them when Swift got hurt. To the point he remained as the main back when Swift got healthy. I think Swift has looked better just hitting the right holes and taking what the eagles oline has provided. He didn’t always do that in Detroit. He’d try to hit a homerun or bounce it more frequently. The eagles oline is so great at run blocking he gets big time holes so he can just hit it and explode through it ( ha!) and get extra yards

I think SF is going to steamroll them with their run game and short passes with tons of YAC.

Feels like a big deebo and aiyuk game. Whichever Gilmore isn’t covering.

Keep both 49ers and Cowboys as close as possible to the Eagles which would be worst case scenario.

Or maybe a better line?

Definitely playing behind the best oline in the league. Not that the lions oline isn’t good. They are top 10 and likely closer to top 5. Also hurts threat to run helps whereas Goff isn’t that type of threat.

Just based off what I’ve read from the Lions reporters and the podcasts on that trade, from what they gathered inside the lions front office/coaches thinking was he didn’t stay healthy. Which always a concern with him. But the other thing was he would to often try to do too much. Try to bounce it to get a homerun or he didn’t take what the oline was giving him frequently enough. So much so that when he got hurt last year and Jamaal Williams came in and their offense was more consistent running the ball and they stuck with Williams when Swift came back. I think he probably learned from basically being demoted and watching jamaal Williams have the success he did.

Want as much cushion as possible considering we have a brutal stretch starting this week. At rams, at jets, vs. Miami, at Washington, vs. Dallas, bye, at kc, vs. bills, vs. niners, at Dallas and at seattle. That’s brutal 10 game stretch for any team. Frankly I’d be thrilled if we managed to go 7-3 in that stretch. I’d take losses against KC, bills/Miami and split with Dallas if it means beating Dallas once and niners and winning the rest. Cause the end of the season of giants, Az and giants you should go 3-0. Meaning you’d finish the year 14-3. Good chance you get HFA if you beat the niners unless the niners somehow go 15-2 which is hard but doable when you look at their schedule.

Cowboys aren’t beating the 49ers it would require Dak to win the game.

All things considering, I think we have to root for the Cowboys over the 49ers Sunday.  This is one of the very few games on the 49ers schedule that they could lose.  Cowboys have already lost one and are prone to drop a game to any team at any time.  Need the 49ers to get some losses in that hunt for the #1 seed.

SF needs to go run heavy and right at Parsons

@mattwill Eagles win 30-13

Bonus: Stafford sacked 5+ times

Aside from us and the possibility of dropping a sloppy upset to someone at some point, I don't see who SF is going to lose to all year.  That's less hype to them and more an indictment of their ridiculously soft schedule.

@mattwill

Eagles 31

Rams 24

Bonus: Goedert’s first TD

Not necessarily.  Their defense is capable of winning games…they’ve done it 3 times already.  The only game they trailed in they lost.  SF has a solid oline, but all it takes is one Parsons hit and then it’s Sam Darnold’s turn

Eagles, DAL, the AFC North games other than PIT.

Add on there’s only been one year shanahan has been in SF where his starting Qb hasn’t gotten hurt. Because of how he calls games he puts his QBs in positions to get hurt. Not saying I’m rooting for an injury but that there’s a reason why they keep having the same thing happen at that position.

How much more can he cost?

He's on his 6th round rookie contract

He is better than OZ, he's a better deep threat And his best season. Is better than OZ best season

OZ is eagles fans flavor of the week.

I'd be ok with trading Watkins for Chinn because Watkins is in the last year of his contract and it's not like they are going to te sign him so why not trade him And get something for him in return rather than lose him for nothing.

Having said that if he's so horrible why would anyone trade for him?

It's a common theme on this board for posters to rip a player and say he sucks and is trash then in the same breath suggest trading them for a 1st round pick and Jerry Rice in his prime...😒

If Watkins can be a chip to bring in some secondary help than that would be great, if not like I said when Quez gets back it can only help the offense as he's a legit deep threat.

I think Watkins cap number this season is 2.7 vs. 1.0 for Zaccheus.  I think Watkins has elite speed.  He has problems with drops and catching in traffic. Zaccheus seems to provide a reasonable slot option and has gotten open and made catches.  He hasn't looked as uncomfortable as Watkins has looked at times catching over the middle of the field.  He's a number 3 WR and should be a 4th target.  My point about Watkins is mostly that Carolina has a big need at WR and he might keep Chinn's cost down.  Watkins will be gone at the end of this season.  Watkins' speed shows up on film and Reich will be able to use him. Watkins is a helpful player just because teams need to respect his speed.  What his speed adds isn't better than what Chinn would add to the secondary.
