I almost always defend journalists, but Lombardi strikes me as completely full of S.

Hip hop, yes. Reggae, no.

Just a joke. There was an old poster on here that put out a (terrible) reggae album years ago. He was also a flat earth nutjob we all liked to make fun of before he got banned.

WIFI

I'd be surprised that was the deciding factor between near real time and a 30 second delay.

It's not the user WiFi.

It's YouTube TV gathering all of the content, organizing it, and then streaming to their customers.

Is Quez about to go on IR to open up a spot for Dean?

Quez missed multiple games already for that hammy. Gotta shut him down if he's hurt. I'd IR him for Dean for sure.

Can't go a week without losing multiple players.

well that sucks but at least it's not anything major I guess

Doh

Ugh

Carter could've went this week, they're being cautious since he's a long-term special player.

This was almost a for sure win going in and one we need cause the schedule gets nasty.

He probably isn't the best 1b on the team at this point in time ... even if healthy.

Agreed, not to mention Matt Olsen and Pete Alonso play in the same division.

Would that count as the first positive thing he’s done this year?

Worth nothing: the field at MetLife is terrible. It's bad even if a player is completely healthy. Putting a player with a bad ankle or knee on that turf is asking for trouble.

They changed the turf after last season to where it's the same turf as the other fields now. Still lesser than grass though.

They can win this game without Carter/Slay, but I wanted to see Carter set a rookie DT sack record, that's the biggest thing that sucks.

Jason Kelce went off on turf fields.  He said it was because he was upset about having to play on MetLife's turf.

Eagles are still pretty lucky health wise when it comes to injuries. There's been some nicks and bruises but nothing long term besides Maddox.

Looks like all 3 probably miss this game

Looks like a trap game.

I might have to walk out of three away stadium as a loser.

Was thinking that as well

YouTube TB is always behind like that.  I like to text with my son during Eagles games.  He'd be watching on YouTube TV, so I would have to wait for him to react first so not to spoil anything.

The same long time lag exists on the Sirius  broadcast of WIP.

What an angle

Good Quez-tion.

Given the fact that Hoffman had 2 days off and has been great all year and has bounced back from poor outings, I trust him more than Gregory Soto. soto been inconsistent all year and frankly not good for a majority of the season. The only reason I could come up with for why they kept Soto out there is that they knew because he finished the eighth inning that they could remove him at any time in the 9th. If you put Hoffman in that situation to start the 9th he has to face a minimum of 3 batters. So if he got himself into trouble again, you couldn’t remove him after the first batter or the second batter like you could with Soto.

The Soto trade this off-season might be the move the where they thought they were going to cash in but really has been underwhelming. They didn’t give up much to get him for the potential high upside so worth the shot  I’d be surprised if he’s back next year

I think it was the 3 batter rule AND the fear of Rosario vs. the righty (Hoffman or Kerkering).  Hoffman entering to start the 9th likely means Rosario within that 3 batter limit.  So, he got what he wanted, which was Rosario against a lefty, in this case, Strahm.

Soto could be a trade piece for next year... maybe get a young player for the system.  Grab a single-A guy with a possible future.

Meanwhile, looking at next year... I'm not sure we'll see any significant changes to the position players.  I would prioritize a backup catcher who can eat a few more games for Realmuto.  A CRAZY thought came into my head this morning... would you consider trading Marsh for a young arm, moving Harper back to the OF, but this time LF to limit his need to throw and resigning Hoskins AND Nola?   It would likely be expensive, but that would be an interesting lineup.  And I'm wondering if they consider a platoon situation with Marsh/Hoskins for the WS.   Marsh starts in LF against righties, and Hoskins at DH (moving Schwarber to LF) against lefties.

The Eagles are going to make a trade for a WR.
