I was right on the placement of Watkins on IR. You can drop $ in my bank if you like Howie for the advice 🤣

Eagles will trade for a WR and safety/slot CB soon

Shocking that Quez magically ended up on IR after that performance last week 😂

OZ will officially put the clamps on that position now…thank goodness

Would appreciate you breaking down the ALCS if you feel like it.

The rangers offense is really potent. When they are hitting well they might have the best lineup on baseball. It’s why they teed off on the Phillies that first series of the year. Their pitching is better than you’d think. Scherzer is a question mark with his injury issues. Evoladi and Montgomery have been terrific. Their bullpen can be up and down. Very inconsistent it’s where i think the Astros likely do their damage if they win. the Astros starting pitching hasn’t been as good as it was last year. That was historic. Frankly if they played 2023 Astros vs. 2022 Phillies i think the Phillies win. Valdez has been good but dominant. Verlander has actually been better in the postseason than he was last year. Granted 1 start. Their lineup in theory is better than last year with the addition of abreu and Brantley back. But they are more inconsistent this year particularly at home. Middle of the pack at home. Their bullpen is still good but not as dominant as last year. That was a historic pen. The Astros dominated the rangers in the regular season. But that doesn’t necessarily mean much. I’d take the Astros in 6 but i don’t feel confident about it.

felt much more confident about rangers, dbacks and Astros winning their LDS series. Actually won a parlay with that.

I'm not sure we'll ever see Quez catch another pass in an Eagles uniform at this point

I DVR every sport for a number of reasons.

I'm a full time caretaker, so when my wife needs help, you can't let a game be an excuse.

I hate commercials, in game commentary (uh coach, do you have a minute for my stupid question, thanks for the cliched answer), and dead time.

Allows me to control my life instead of games controlling me.

You would love condensed games on NFL+.

Do they really need another WR? A 3rd WR would be the 4th/5th receiving option with Swifts role expanding. Quez hasn’t done anything this season outside of being a speed decoy, which Allen is perfectly capable of doing too.

I think there’s a bigger need at safety/slot, but feel Howie is going to evaluate Brown/Roby over the next 2-3 games before pulling the trigger on a trade.

They’re not trading for a receiver.

Maybe someone buried on another depth chart to fill the open yet buried spot on our depth chart.

UMASS is a D1 Independent now. Still a weak opponent.

Ok.  But, why is it shameful?

Solid overcast here in S.E. PA. so no eclipse viewing for me. I remember on the last eclipse the advice was to not use arc welding (#10) lenses. I can see not using gas welding lenses - they're not very dark but arc welding lenses are pretty dark. Does anyone know why the recommendation to not use arc welding lenses?

The glasses for viewing the sun are cheap enough.   I posted a link earlier.   There's another eclipse in April, so it is worth the investment.

Don’t agree with that at all. NFL playoffs are closest to the NCAA basketball tournament

Yup.  One and done.  You aren't permitted an 'off' day.  Win or go home... each time.

How does Penn State get away with scheduling TWO Division 1-AA teams in a single season? First it was Delaware. Now it’s Massachusetts.

I was embarrassed when Notre Dame scheduled a 1-AA team for the first time ever this year and Penn State does it twice without batting an eye? Shameful.

Take a look at Michigans first three games. BTW there isn't much difference between a bottom dwelling D1 school and a top FBS program (Delaware). We also play Ohio State next week. In their house. Did you expect them to schedule a juggernaut today? Not gonna happen. Every team plays cupcakes. Are you proud about your victories over powerhouses like Tennessee State and Central Michigan?

I missed the fineable offense.    The NFL is ridiculous with these fines now.   And the amounts?   Just using lottery machines at this point it seems.

The thing of it is... the big schools scheduling those smaller schools is GOOD for those smaller schools.  They get some serious coin (UMass is getting $1.6M for today's game, I think.   UofD got at least $500k.).  And when draft time comes, we want to see how the players from the smaller schools fared against better competition.  Ultimately, if the big schools didn't schedule the smaller schools, we wouldn't have those peeks to look at.   Further, these games allow the young guys to get some needed reps.  Ultimately, it's good for the sport.

They do. Right now Covey is the 4th WR. That isn’t going to cut it. And Quez hasn’t exactly been good when he’s played. They’re definitely going to add one. Whether it’s a signing or trade. Don’t think it’ll be anyone special, but they need more depth there. They did before Quez got hurt, they definitely do now.

Pretty good BoNix Penix battle going on.

Our gameplan if one of AJ Brown or Devonta getting hurt will be to play more 12 personnel.

The fault lies with the requirement from the league or NCAA and the networks thinking that there's something to them that fans want to see/hear.

You're right but they probably do it because they want reactions from coaches.

A guy like Nick Saban or Gregg Popovich in the NBA don't like doing these interviews.  So when they have to do these after the 1st quarter or halftime they are already irritated and more so if they are losing or not playing well.  They are hoping these coaches say something that will be controversial.  It's happened with Saban involving Maria Taylor for instance.

Sorry @Texas Eagle

Great breakdown.  Made it easy to understand.

Sauce Gardner out tomorrow

Wish I had stayed up last night to see Colorado choke to Stanford.

I like all of those moves.  Allen may actually get some Offensive snaps ... and hopefully won't perform offensively!
