Yeah travis kelce and Chris jones didn’t play and they won by a point.

That's true. Ravens are also without one of their best playmakers for the year now also.

I’d still take them over the lions. I prefer lamar to goff. And the lions defense is not nearly as good as ravens. It’s why geno and Seahawks annd chargers annd herbert also torched that defense. Only good Qb they faced that didn’t was mahomes and he didn’t have kelce. The lions defense is eerily similar to eagles last year where every good Qb they seemed to face torched Gannon.

Pillars, I think.

I swear, @BigEFly is related to half the major figures in American history.

That was it … pillars.  It wasn’t clear whether we were Ionic, Doric, or Corinthian pillars.  I think of myself as Ionic … definitely electrically imbalanced.

Was that restaurant parking lot that seedy? And for anyone who might have wondered, it was a midpoint(ish) meeting spot to enact a ticket transaction. The game ended up being great for three quarters. Then not so much after that.

I was just trying to add some drama to the event.    It was a Chik-fil-A, IIRC.

Yeah hard to disagree with that. I don't see that the chiefs defense has faced any real offense this year either. Not saying they aren't improved but the Ravens have faced better teams.

I’m more skeptical on the chiefs offense tbh. Kelce gives them enough to beat most teams but their WRs scare no one and i don’t think reid can just scheme them open all the time to beat more high powered offenses. Defense i actually think is better just cause they were young last year and took steps. But Miami, chargers and lions are the best offenses they have faced. I’d have them lower but they like the eagles seemingly find ways to win games that sometimes i don’t think they really looked all that great. Hard to argue with 7-2 and imo if they had jones and kelce likely looking at two teams facing off at 8-1

I am not willing to put the Cowboys ahead of the Jaguars. I saw the Cardinals beat the Cowboys and the Niners dismantle the Cowboys as badly as they did the Jaguars. I get the Jaguars did not look good against 49ers last week, but neither did the Cowboys. I would put the Eagles and Chiefs ahead of everybody. And then the Niners. And then the ravens. And then the Lions (who got smoked by ravens). And then I  have the Jaguars and Cowboys about the same. Because they both are basically the same team where they look good against inferior opponents and struggle against top tier teams. After those 6 teams I would actually say the Texans are playing better football than any of the other teams you want to put at the seventh spot.

I dunno. If we're talking these teams at their best, the Jags can't even sniff the Cowboys. The Cowboys playing at a top level is a team that we know gives the Eagles fits. I don't trust the Jags or the Lions yet.

I think the Eagles and Chiefs are still the top tier. Cowboys, Niners, Ravens are a notch below with the Jags and Lions ascending. Depending on how the Eagles play they can beat every one of those teams, but they could also lose to all of them.

It is weird how many similarities there are with the Eagles and Chiefs. I'm glad they put both their byes on the same week. Chiefs offense just doesn't look great this year and that includes mahomes but you always have that feeling they can flip the switch at any moment.

Just saying the jags got hot at the end of last year and beat Dallas whom we all thought was better going into that game. Doug tends to have his teams playing better at the end of the year can’t say the same about mccarthy and Dallas. Not giving the cowboys the benefit of the doubt cause they destroy bad teams like the giants. Neither team has been good against teams over .500. Can’t trust Dallas either if we are saying that with the lions and jags. Jags also give the chiefs trouble. Could’ve won that playoff game and it was a close game this year 14-9 in the 4th

I’d stand up more for the lions and dismiss this point if they didn’t give up 37, 38 and 38 to geno, lamar and herbert who are the 3 best QBs they faced outside of mahomes without kelce in week 1

True. It's probably a familiarity thing too. I've watched so many Cowboys games first hand because of the Eagles and national broadcast schedule. It's easy to see what they can and can't be. I don't think I've ever watched a Jags game start to finish.

Rally House college inventory is based on it's locale. The one by me is Penn, West Chester, Temple, Nova, all the Philly/suburban colleges.

I was in a Rally House recently in South Jersey and was appalled when I noticed they had clothing for every local college team...except for Penn. They had sections for Villanova, Temple, St Joes, LaSalle, and Drexel. Possibly Rutgers too. But the Quakers apparently don’t exist in their mind.

I had no intention of buying anything but still.

That’s cool…unfortunately I have not had the fortune to meet anyone from the blog.  I’d say the EMB, but it’s rare that I ever post in other threads.  Been a member since 2002 I want to say…but living in the Chicago area makes it a little tough lol

Where are you in Chicago.  We have family in Geneva, and visit every now and then.  Next time we are there we can break your string.

Are you sure it is that, or is Penn not willing to let them sell licensed things there?   I honestly haven't seen "Penn" gear anywhere, now that I think about it.

I’m also hoping to meet some of you great people in a seedy restaurant parking lot. I have an unmarked brown mini-van and I typically wear a t-shirt that says "Boner Garage” with an upward pointing arrow that I stole from @mikemack8‘s summer storage shed.
