In Chicago now. Who has the best pizza and I know it's not Giordano's? 🙂

I’m ok with Giordano’s, but also like Pequod’s, Geno’s, and Lou Malnati ’s (depending on the location…like Giordano’s)

Geno's East.

Lou Malnati's.  (FYI...their location in Evanston used to be a different restaurant that I bartended at decades ago.)

With all due respect, this hogwash. The OL pushes, Hurts drives behind them, and the pushers in the backfield are pushing OL as much as they are Hurts. The play works mostly because Kelce and Dickerson outpush the DL. Trying to differentiate between guys who push the QB only and guys who push whatever’s in front of them is impossible. What makes this play work is individual talent working in concert. Other teams lack this talent or don’t take the trouble to refine it. You want to ban Kelce because he’s so good at this? That’s a very slippery slope.

Hell, the "pushers”, the guys behind Hurts, are really doing much more screening than pushing.  The goal is to screen players from Hurts, especially Hurt’s legs.

If the NFL is really into excitement, can’t get much more exciting than going for it on 4th and short.

Man, Travis Hunter is unreal. That does NOT look good the way his knee buckled though. Also, for all the Coach Prime love there was...56-7, why is he still in?

I didn't even know Colorado played last night.

I was told they are the biggest story in college football even if they lose.

On a serious note, if Deion wants to be successful its not enough to just have top recruits, which is yet to be seen if he gets a top recruiting class.  He needs to have really good coordinators and assistant coaches around him.  I know he isn't designing or creating an offense schemes or anything like that.  He probably helps a little with defense especially DBs since he excelled there.

Pillars, I think.

I swear, @BigEFly is related to half the major figures in American history.

Take it back far enough and we are all related.

Torn ligament, needs surgery

Does he start to have an injury prone tag?  Torn ligament I his throwing wrist could have a long term impact.

There were whispers before this injury...

Jason Kelce is now PFF’s highest rated center on the season. If he gets his 6th 1st team all-pro, he’d be on an extremely short list.

no QB I could find has done it, not Jerry Rice nor Jim Brown nor Bruce Smith…

So far only Reggie White as I peruse

Interesting that neither Brady nor manning has six first team all pros, unless I'm reading your post wrong

Right but he’s not appeared on the injury list at any point this year? And he’s been wearing a brace during games. We all know he’s hurt.

The injury list applies to whether a player practices and ultimately to whether a player is an available for the game.  If they had to list every injury, every player would be on the list.  You can’t play football and not have some sort of ding.

Allow me to cut short your search.

Jerry Rice was 1st team All-Pro 10x, and is the all time leader, tied with Jim Otto.

You’re right, I don’t know what I’m talking about

I wonder about the likelihood that Dean is done.  Duce never came back from lis franc surgery.  Feet are notoriously hard to fix.  Dean can’t afford to lose a step.  Need to start scouting free agent and college LBs.

You are correct though... that looks like a lot of names, but the reality is... it is a rather exclusive club in the end when you consider how many people have played in the NFL since the beginninng.

No, my point was 6 consecutive. Something Jerry never did, nor any QB ever did

But I just checked… Jason never did it either, forgot he missed it the pandemic year

Ah.... I missed the word 'consecutive'.  My bad.

In that case... Jim Otto (a center) did it.

Anthony Munoz, Reggie White, LT, Joe Schmidt, Jim Parker (8 straight), Don Hutson, Bill George (7x), Mike Singletary, Gino Marchetti, Bob Lilly, Forrest Gregg, Aaron Donald (7x)... there might be a couple more...

Apples & Oranges imo.  Duce was older and a RB - (more strain/power needed to run his style of running).  Dean is young and just needs to get healed up enough not to lose major speed.   Big difference, imo.

Deep dish pizza sucks. I’d call it glorified lasagna but that would be a total insult to lasagna, which is delicious. Lou Malnati’s, Geno’s, Uno’s, Due….doesn’t matter. If I wanted to drink a jar of tomato sauce that’s what I’d do.  NY style pizza is better, Detroit style pizza is better, anything thin crust or thick crust, and Pizza Hut pan pizza is also much better than anything deep dish. More like Deep ish. Fight me.

Kelce's HOF case will be fascinating to monitor when it comes up. Another 1st team All-Pro puts him next to Alan Faneca, who had 6 and a SB like Kelce. However, Kelce is about 100x more famous than Faneca was, and it took Faneca several years to make it.

I prefer Lou's but they're very both similar in my experience. If you're not a fan of Chicago style, skip the pizza altogether and get a burger and shake from Ed Debevic's. The shtick there is the staff pretends to be rude and unaccommodating to the customers. My 7yr old thought it was a riot, she couldn't stop laughing the whole time.

Kelce will get in. Might not get it in first-try, but he'll get it. He'll get another all-pro nomination this year (more about lack of centers than his quality of play this year). Kelce was also the best C of his generation. Faneca was not (Steve Hutchinson).

Kelce is 100% a first ballot HOF’r.  If he and Peters retire together this year they both will get in in the same class.
