  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

If you told me on Wednesday that we'd enter day 3 with Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Jalyx Hunt and 2 extra 4ths I'd be doing backflips. Great process.

What's going on with the Eagles website and their draft player breakdowns? Nothing from Fran Duffy at all. His "journey to the draft" hasn't been updated since February 1st.

Maybe he got lost on his journey?  I stopped going to Philadelphiaeagles.com the second they shut down the old MB.

Wesley Steinberg is a fake account.

Thats why we have the big nickel etc for those sets. Im talking base offensive sets which are coming back more and more. You are seeing more teams start to run the ball more and run more 12 and 21 personal as well to take advantage of the smaller LBs/Edge rushers that defensives are throwing out there. Yes we would only use a true 3-4 set maybe 10-15% of the defensive snaps but when you do its worth having the correct type of LB out there for the purpose. That is what Hunt reminds me of. If he turns out better and can be placed in more situations, great.

I like this post a lot. I definitely see a shift away from 5-wide to 12 and 21 personnel. That’s going to accelerate with Harbaugh back in the league. His base offense is12 personnel. He did it at San Diego State, Stanford, the 49ers, and Michigan, all with great success. In a copycat league when it works for him it will spread. We couldn’t match with the 49ers last year or with hell, pretty much anybody down the stretch.

Just looking at our picks so far, they’re all Fangio picks. He’s driving the bus, hopefully not over a cliff. Versatile guys. He does a lot of mixing and disguising. That only works when you have guys who can do it. Dropping Reddick into coverage was a joke. He is a one-trick pony, albeit a very good trick. It appears that Hunt is versatile. Certainly DeJean is. I can see Sydney Brown in the big nickel as a box safety. More speed in the short zones and middle and better run support.

I’m more interested in scheme than names, I admit.

Does Trotter Jr have a injury history like Dean? Asking anyone.  At his point I really like his Production. Why not

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Jalen didn’t have a monstrous 2022 season?

Howie was saving up 1’s to move up in the 2023 draft. We had 9 overall from the Saints, but out 30 overall would have been a lot closer to 15 overall.

Texans wouldn’t have given us 2 for Stroud, so we likely outbid them for 3. Anthony Richardson is our QB right now and we don’t have Carter, Nolan, or Quinyon. Possibly not Dejean either.

The 3 non-roster locks Id keep would be Hall, Jobe, and Ricks.

Why? Think the Eagles are moving away from lack of speed.

Tommy’s round 4 targets

LB Jordan Magee
OG Christian Mahogany
WR Javon Baker
WR Malik Washington
LB Cedric Gray
DL Justin Eboigbe
DT Khristian Boyd
RB Audric Estime

Give me 2 of those guys + trading our 4th for a 2025 3rd or 4th.

I feel like Magee will be an Eagle.

Magee and Baker would be really excellent.

Get me a better RB than Estime please.

he's not on his dad's talent level

The’ll flip a couple today for future picks. No way they use all those. But, I’m with you on the Mitchell, DeJean thing.

Looks like Howie is out of the SEC and back to Sparq scores

Go back and check out Edwards when the Eagles signed him, too small, too slow.

ILBs need instincts and quickness more than speed and size. Helps if they can cover TEs.

6' 230 seems to be the prototypical LB size these days. They're damn near Big Ass safeties.

You guys probably already talked about this but what is going on with Troy Franklin? Why is he still there

agreed trade ups early then pocket some for next year.

with 7 picks left , howie has to be moving up today for LB since he has broken his norm this off season

Who is Quinton Mitchell?  🤔

Its a Philly constant... names can't be right.   Quinyon... Y, not T.

I’m excited for Qanon Mitchell

Did Kendall Milton ever go? Guy literally won the orange bowl by half time and sat the rest of the game lol

Quasimodo Mitchell is the real deal.

I already knew that.  A lot weren't when his dad was in his prime.

Hunt wasn't a "reach," Brugler had him at #88 in his mock after the 1st rd, he wasn't some unknown that just showed up on draft day.

A gamble yes, but most of those "sure" starters in the 3rd rd end up as depth players.

Once you get past the top 40, odds drop significantly, past the top 100, roll the dice.

If they can land a couple guys like Ringo and Ojomo last season today, I'll be very happy.

He wasn’t a shot in the dark but he wasn’t who they were targeting at 78 or 86.  I think Howie would have taken one of the O line prospects, Roman Wilson or maybe even Wallace at 86 if they made it to that pick.
