They have a guy whose job is to stand at press conferences and nod his head yes or no about questions that should or shouldn’t be answered. 

Nothing in the standard player contract prevents a player from having interviews with the press.  Think of what that would do all the sports programming and podcasts.  I deplore WIP but from what I have seen from the tweets in my Eagles feed, he basically told some of the media to shove it and stood behind his friend and QB.  He did suggest player failure to execute (possibly Davis, N Smith, and others on the D, Jones/Watson/Goedert and possibly Mailata and to a degree others on the OL on offense). But that’s okay to have a team star push others. But he said the locker room was fine.  Much ado about nothing.

When I first said that, it was maybe a minute into the call and who knew what direction it was going in. In the end, it was as you described. 

I’d still imagine Howie and PR weren’t thrilled with the situation if they were unaware of it happening. 

AJ won points with me today. The Philly media gaslights to the extreme for their own gain at the expense of causing distractions for the team that their listeners / viewers / readers love. The problem is, there's nothing AJ can do to change it. All he can do is limit his own accessibility to the media. 

Funniest part is this all mostly stems from Carton who is NY media

There are legitimate subjects of race in the context of football. Just recently the Eagles social media team posted about players from HBCU's. Last year Hurts was in a magazine cover story about the legacy of black QBs in the organization. The media made a story about 2 black QBs playing in the Super Bowl with Mahomes and Hurts. The Rooney Rule comes up every offseason. Simply talking about race isn't a problem. 

If someone uses traditionally coded language used toward black QBs and then someone suggests the issue might actually be race, that isn't necessarily "race baiting." That's an opinion about the content of what was posted, and you can reply that no it's not about race it's about the skills. If it goes further, then consider it a personal attack and report the poster. You're also adults. There's a lot of trash talk insulting people all day, so have some thick skin. However, I can see the point if someone is constantly making every criticism of the QB about race. Report the posts.

We'll look at this more closely going forward.

I'm actually a bit surprised how well that turned out and how quickly it came together.  It's a sick edit.  Might have to edit Simms and others into the EMB parts and just flat out make it a much longer highlight video.
