Same as Wentz did the SB year. Teams adjusted. But he can do this or that well sometimes. Sometimes being the keyword and then he craps the bed by holding the ball and taking a stupid sack, sliding at the 3 before the half so the clock almost runs out, throws to someone in double or triple coverage cause he can't see a guy open 15 yards in front of him in FG range, etc. He's not the guy.

You can point these things out with every single QB in the NFL and yes that includes majomes making dumb decisions. Hurts regressed in certain areas last year that need to be corrected. He deserves to be criticized for those especially being paid like a top QB. He's also shown the ability to play like one of the top QBs in the league. Why would you not want to give him a chance to show that again? Everything was out of wack with the team last year. Not just Hurts. He has rare traits like being insanely clutch. That is not something you teach and it's very underappreciated. Why give up on that? You like what you saw out of Lamar in the playoffs?

Yeah, but horrible situational awareness is worse than throwing into coverage. How many other chances does Hurts need to get? If there is a better option in the draft or someone reaches out to Howie with a trade (though unlikely) I'd love for them to move on. Are they stuck with him this year? Yeah. Would I love to see them trade him. Absolutely. That doesn't mean I'm not going to point out I'll be happy when he's gone. Will he do better this year? Hopefully. Do I think he can win a SB? No. Even when he plays well he seems to find a way to drop the ball...literally.

So does Hurts. Hopefully, we both improve next year.

If you get off red meat I hear your shtick will smell a little better.

How many other chances? This is 2022 we're talking about him being arguably the 2nd-3rd best QB in the league, takes his team to the Superbowl and plays better than literally any QB ever has on that stage besides BDN. Then the entire team collapses the next year and that's that you're done? How do you not see how insane that sounds?

Stop arguing. Save your time. He will never be swayed. The shtick is strong with this one.

He will go to who gives him the best offer and who gives him the best opportunity to play. See how fast he loves Philly again if the Eagles offer both to him in a month.

He didn't do that last year when the eagles gave him the best offer and opportunity to play, and instead he bad mouthed them on the way out and ended up having to take a lower offer.

If he came back here, it'd be on HIM to get over himself and his fragile ego. Doubt it happens.

Yeah he kind of burned that bridge. Pretty dumb business move but hey these athletes aren't always that bright. Low EQ.

Eh, he thought he could get more money and then later on the Eagles took the offer off the table. If the Eagles went back with their original offer once his market dried up, he would've been back. His agent probably had more to do with it than he did anyway. Most players just let their agents handle this stuff.

You're right I'm just trying to understand why. There seems to be so many that have this stance and it makes zero sense to me.

The franchise tag period ends on March 5, so by that point we'll have a much better idea about what players are truly available to the Eagles.

These type of folks can't be understood. It's who they are. Same reason why 1/2 the US is freaking nuts. You'll save a lot of time and mental resources just letting them be :D

McKee played against the 3rd and 4th string in the 4th Q.   Against such competition, he had a completion percentage of 54.2%.  And he's not a fast runner or anything, can't do what Jalen can do.

I like Mariota.  Best yards per carry on the Eagles last year with 6.5.

Back in your cage, rtk

Shame that you can't have a turnover in the Super Bowl and win...

Oh wait.

If the top couple safeties get tagged, one of the Eagles top targets should be none other than CJGJ.

Reasons:

Young, playmaking ability, would be a great bargain compared to other safeties. Cost 6.5m coming off a pro bowl season. Coming off a season where he was hurt he'd be even cheaper.

Can play slot corner if needed.

Likely would want a one year deal to rebuild his value so no long commitment needed.

Knows the players, team, city.

If the doofuses out there can get over their petty little resentment of him over the offseason trash talking, they will come to the realization that it would be a smart signing. And with the money they'd save not overpaying elsewhere, could throw a little more money into another position. Whether it be LB, CB, RB, slot WR, whatever.

CJGJ makes sense for a lot of reasons.  I don't know that he wants to come back to Philly.

Fascinating there was ever a market for a 10,000 word weekly article series.

I know attention spans have evaporated as we become increasingly digital, but still... Even back in the day I was skimming these.

All the respect to Peter King though. That kind of output over that length of time is truly impressive.

The one nugget in there:

Quote
  • I don’t have a good feeling about Philadelphia in 2024. But if the Eagles return to goodness, it’s got to be on the wings of Jalen Hurts. Lead, man.

It's market analysis not EQ.  Maybe his agent thought the market was better than it was.  Maybe he didn't listen to his agent's advice. I don't think he burned any bridges here.

Can we PLEASE stop with the obsession with the sub-par tackler who happens to have nice hands? There's a lot of guys in the league that can do that. You know what they're called?

CORNERBACKS. Dude is an amazing slot but he is a crazy overrated S right now. Maybe he won't be later but he sure is right now. I know you were responding to someone else. I'm sorry I am lazy. lol

We're barely 2 weeks into the offseason and you're in mid-season form.

Which makes the better tattoo:

This:

Create a hyper-realistic image of a heart-shaped tattoo featuring the initials CJGJ intertwined within the design. The tattoo should also incorporate a vibrant green eagle, with its wings spread wide, adding a dynamic element to the composition. This combination should blend seamlessly, with the eagle appearing to be an integral part of the heart shape, rather than an afterthought. The tattoo should have a depth and texture that suggests it's inked on skin, with the colors vivid and the details sharp to convey a sense of realism.

Create a hyper-realistic image of a heart-shaped tattoo, incorporating the initials CJGJ inside the heart. Above the heart, there is a detailed, majestic green eagle spreading its wings, with its feathers intricately designed showing various shades of green. The tattoo is on a skin-like texture background to enhance the realism of the design, showcasing the artistry and precision in the tattooing process. The heart and the eagle are designed with sharp, clear lines and the colors are vibrant, making the tattoo stand out against the skin-toned background.

I'll give it to you. This may be the most creative non-bannable troll job I've seen in the history of the EMB. Good crap. Lol.
