SB season you had the new O needing to be ironed out in real time on gamedays. Oline began that season kind of missing a different guy or two each game. So the Oline went to Siri to just simplify and run the ball. Easier for the rotating pieces to be on the same page. Just attack blocking your zone.

See in a real O, think anything but Siri’s, it’s not just the QB reading and adjusting. It’s everybody. Sure maybe the C has the easiest most basic job. So what Moore was attempting to transition into was whole O becoming unstoppable! If it’s a quality proven scheme? Then the answers to most all questions to be faced are baked in. However defender is guarding….while they zig you then zag.

So here’s the obvious, nose is on your face, I’ll point out for you: Hurts was attempting to pass in Siri’s O with Patullo as Passing Game Coordinator the entire time…cough cough..puke….that is….until Siri ruined our dynasty run by promoting his puppet to the big chair. That’s with zero reason to have deserved the promotion…other than Siri’s right hand man.

Hurts passing numbers are incredibly efficient. But need to put in context with considering all the actual details. You know, like a real hard core Eagles fan. What Siri actually did was apply all the pressure on Hurts shoulders. Hurts was relied on to always dig the most difficult first downs out…to keep drives alive. The Dagger being the highlight rare moment with Hurts passing without the D aware it was mandatory passing down situation we faced.

Would take you so long to strap together a worthy highlight tape of our guys being schemed open. Really one step approach playcalling that barely ever set things up.

Siri played not to lose(his career) against the Browns. AJ had the fallout. He was clearly very vocal as captain input towards the O. But AJ doesn’t create separation. Like lower tier of any WR separation numbers. His thing is 50/50 balls pretty much. But he’s on the side of wanting to make Hurts look bad. AJ’d rather Eagles were his team booting Hurts. In his mind he sadly probably even believed that’s how things would play out.

To the guy…that you always are risking 50/50 balls towards. A QB wants to be secure that his guy will bat the ball down even instead of letting it get intercepted. In the worst scenarios.

Now add in…everybody knew AJ’s route presnap by alignment/personell package. So defenders were squaring and breaking on the 50/50 guys routes. I can’t say for certain the percentages of AJ’s routes being known by his defenders…but I’m talking ridiculous amounts….wasn’t close to just fifty percent.

I’ve constantly called out the Pitt. game when Moore took back control since the bye. Exactly turned out to he the last moment before the postseason. That was Hurts running Moore’s on the fly single season…tricked into building up a playbook adding integrating on to Siri’s O.

So what player …heck let’s extend the list to…ughh….all time…EVER….was a better option than giving the ball to Saquan that season? Just needed Hurts to finish the short yardage and scoring plenty. Ideal compliments.

I can’t understand any case to be made against feeding Saquan producing an alltime season.(well other than the career potentially zapping of key guys involved). But Saquan? Heck ride that top paid vet RB. At most looking for three seasons out of him as an Eagles. He showed wear and tear last season already. Almost guarantee he doesn’t play every game the full season forward. Not expecting…or even dreaming Saquan still could/can repeat that effort.

Not even positive he has any of that juice left. But he seemed to pick up steam after a rough start last season.

Absolutely no brainer to minimize the decision making and passing attempts of the QB in Philly the last few years...has led to the team having the elite level success and putting up points!

So exactly like I stated my opinion was all along for that season….Steelers game it was allowed to happen. I educated guess believe for sure Rosie and Lurie stepped in to back Siri off handing things back to Moore. You know…the actual very publicly stated plan …of Siri kept a job here…but was demoted after The Collapse.

So fantastic game passing when Siri got out of the way for it to occur. Then how did things go in the playoffs?

Mind you…Hurts could have padded stats like Allen disgustingly is known to be always chasing with his false priorities. He underachieves in the most important moments…but he got the huge bank truck(s) piling the dough on him…married a sexy talented fantastic multitalented actress/model/singer. But we controlled that Pitt game …so it would have been purely fame stat chasing reasons to have done so. Hurts distinguishes himself in this area. Probably about the only QB that has his priorities in the right place.
