That's what we're all waiting to see now. If Hurts refuses to run again he's not going to do well until he figures out the passing game which could take some time with new receivers

Agree... I think the idea would be that if New England were to get AJ then they unload Boutte. Not traded here. In fact they could have had all this time to get a 3rd team involved... for Boutte and then add some additional compensation or pick swap that gives the Eagles additional compensation and for New England it ends up being Boutte and maybe only one pick?

Could end up benefiting BOTH the Eagles and Patriots?

Hurts is the QB the next 2 seasons. His play under Mannion will determine if he gets another contract here. Howie holds the cards, the Eagles are absolutely not afraid to start over at QB. You would also assume that 2028 draft picks would be attained in a Hurts trade in addition to the salary cap relief. They could lock in this young defensive core...and start over with the next QB.

The choice will be theirs.

Don’t think it will be two seasons think the FO will make their decision on Hurts at the end of this season whether that is extension or trade no clue will come down to Hurts play.

For sure. NE would love for Maye to have the talent AJ has. Great WR for a growing QB. They would have needed to spend a 1 on one soon anyway(IMO). Hurts gets a slot threat he never had(not as good as JJ, but he can be a force if played correctly). I believe Howie will get far more than a single round 1 and I believe that deal is already made with winks and nods.

I can't make that assumption. Bad play by Hurts and Howie would use the 2 round 1's in the '27 draft for the next franchise QB, or maybe McKee is capable(IDK because he gets little time with the 1's on the field). If Hurts refuses to run and give 100% Howie will cut bait. I don't think he wants that,but he's not afraid to do it. No sense paying 55 million a year for QB 19/32. Bark will wind down, Smitty will want paid, but grabbing Lemon sure helps on the cap front. I want to see if they are set at X,Y,Z or if they use them all in different sets. Any QB would love to have what Howie provided. 2 nice TE's who can both catch also. I don't see how Hurts can fail
