So the Cowboys are in this desperate situation needing a win versus us to keep their season alive. They’re at a low with everybody counting them out. We’re at a high in a moment of receiving the most praise and expectations by the largest consensus. Usually I tend to back my opinions with more concrete solid factual football reasoning. But this week I’m just more going with ‘gut’ and a ‘feeling’ of we will lose knocking is back down a peg when we are being touted so highly by everybody. Plus it exactly will be what gives the Cowboys their needed boost and keep them alive into everything.

Results of being an Eagles fan all these years?  But I very much have become accustomed to this is exactly when disappoint tends to strike. How can any Eagles fan have much of a different understanding and expectation? It’s been so predictably rough being an Eagles fan I actually believe the huge surprise for me would be that simple positive result of we win living up to our widely touted expectations this moment…putting away our rival down Cowboys season hopes.

I said "we can put them out of their misery" 27 pages ago(before the incessant rants lol) I will enjoy ending their season for good. They may be out already but lets put a nail in that coffin

I never said anything like you can put up big stats coinciding with a W. I just can clearly understand the two aren’t the same like FL believed so fervently. So many situations where I can point to a team losing versus a team winning actually facilitating statistical success more.

Down multiple TDs always leads to a team passing more. Up multiple TDs leads to passing less.
On the flip side obviously having good players on a team playing well leads to stat production over bad players on a disfunctional team. But seen so many times these backups or less than elite players put up big stats while losing ….while that same game or day the elite QB isn’t putting up the big stats while winning.

Did I say WHERE that stats came from? Each game is different but you need to out up the stats SOMEHOW and scoring USUALLY follows stats. It's very difficult to lose a game when you have 450 yards of offense. It would take real talent to lose that one. Of could that COULD be done by tossing 4 picks

Right the OPW is a RUNNING BACK,not AJ,not DSMith,so you are correct

Who threw to AJ for a record number of games in a row last season for over 125 yards?

So up three scores tends to lead to more passing? No. But on the flip side maybe you got up three scores by passing. But very clear historical evidence that while leading…that is when running the ball is more utilized. Being down is historically lead to more passing than running.

Great!! Let's get up by 3 scores passing. I'm all for that instead of rushing Bark until he falls over because he is beat or having to use the tush push as 1/2 the offense

I really hope all this happens. I reason my expectation to be disappointed and the opposite to happen stemming from being an Eagles fan…but this place we’re all Eagles fans…that experience has really hardened me(thought us).

But yes I agree that there are some ties to statiscal production and winning. Mostly moving the ball and scoring versus sucking not moving the ball and not scoring.

Thanks

I’m not even arguing against your point with stats…I think. Produce yards and TDs CAN help win. Not producing any yardage or scoring it’s real tough to win. Totally agree with that one part of many that apply.
On the flip side endless  games historically where a WR puts up plenty of stats in a loss.

Once again read the words "ALL YEAR LONG" in the original post

I ackowledged how producing stats can lead to wins. Never denied that. But the two things aren’t the same. All kinds of ways I’m perfectly happy getting a win that isn’t tied to WR(or whoever individual) stat production.

I’m disagreeing with your complete correlation between stats and W/L though. Just one piece of so many variables in a team game of football that results in a W. Can score 31 points with a WR 100 yards and Two TDs…and W or L.

There are ST and D on every team that play large factors in winning.

I absolutely have plenty of opinions based on Stats versus winning. But why do you keep ignoring what I actually was making the point about FLs statement? How DJ never been on a team with any hope of reaching the postseason…losers…how at this moment on his best team…this was reasoning for his actions? His most hopeful winning season is the driving force for his moment to react so poorly over his striving to play on a better team.

He's tired of losing???? He's the only player generating any real offense and why I keep saying Hurts needs to get our "stars" stats. It's tough on these guys when they bust all the way down the field only to have Hurts grab THE STATS behind the O line at the GL. Try flipping the ball to Calc or WR 3 or Shipley or Gains. it's how you lead and keep the team happy. DJ is tired of towing the line with no results. A leader lets his crew get the limelight

I’m really perfectly fine with any method we achieve a blowout lead.

Crazy stuff. Actually deciding to choose and do a job that pretty much only revolves around difficult high risk performance with fatal consequences.

They are awesome,I wish you could see them work. I had a window view in TB hospital for 2 days(of a 6 day stay) and the pad was right outside my window. One day was 60 MPH wind in rain and they had to inch it down with maybe 50 feet on each side between the buildings.Very difficult and extreme concentration. Copters are hard to fly anyhow

So you are so Hurts Hate agenda driven you prefer to go to Calcattara for the crucial moment at the goaline instead of Hurts? Where’s the data that would make anybody side with your choice? How many TDs has Calacattara scored in the NFL? Our second and third string RB you are championing over Hurts for that most crucial play deciding whether we score a TD or not? You really just Hate Hurts so much you prefer we lose and don’t score…to such a degree you even champion relying on the least likely players for success. Just reaching for anything but Hurts. Just enjoy and embrace Hurts scoring TDs. It’s great for us…no negative to be found.

Unless they are pick 6's you need stats to get there on offense

So you are saying you can't count on Hurts to throw for the TD,that's what you are saying

That’s even worse than them risking themselves in it. A helicopter like that crashing into buildings full of people would be a massive disaster.

What about two pass interference penalties and kick a field goal?

You going to give the ball to Derrick Henry or McCaffrey? Saquan? Any team? Any QB ever? Or those guys you’d only get involved because of Hurts deficiencies?

Sure, I will give the ball to my RB as opposed to ball hogging behind the O line

Or spread the ball around and score a TD versus the team that goes up and down the field but can’t punch it in?

You are back to talking about ONE game when I specifically said "ALL YEAR LONG,stop the flailing

Stats were generated to get you to the GL???? You got there with no stats? If you have a RZ scoring issue and can't win after getting there that is a different issue

If you watched the games you’d have seen(think it was Cincy) Hurts made a great play to convert a first down inside the five with his legs as libbing. Handed it to Saquan twice but didn’t score. So Hurts finished it off and scored. Why is that a problem for you?

A whole season of one game at a time. But this wasn’t ever even the point originally anyway. It was how you tied his lacking team success this season on why DJ walked off the field.

Sure, in big cities space is a premium, some have the pad farther away, but in downtown Tampa there is no room
