I think it has to do more with VanSumeren being on IR. He was being utilized as FB in several games I noticed.

Yes I know we lost our FB and strong ST. But our usage of the FB hasn’t been anything to actual force dressing one as one of our Gameday roster. That’s the key here. When would this guy possibly suit up for an actual game? Not that many games remaining here. You can’t afford to use a game roster spot for a very slight possibility you could ..maybe…want to use a FB for one play. I’m jumping to the conclusion we have a matchup we really are planning to use a FB formation to take advantage of. Not just dressing him to use late in games to help salt away the game we are leading in.

W-R-O-N-G do you need flash cards? He is the on field manager

He can be an on field manager if he doesn't turn the ball over

While he’s being a playmaker in key situations…he’s just a game manager. Sadly Siri isn’t looking to get the O ready for the versatility they’ll need. Predictably obvious they’ll be turning to all the stuff Siri isn’t worried about developing right in the most difficult pressure situations.

What i'm saying is i'd much rather see him be a game manager than a hero who turns the ball over every game

Or Siri will emotionally override everything going back to his pro scheme: play street ball and find a way to create and make a play….I’ll give him enough credit that he’d probably give a snap count like: on three. Hurts escape…buy time…AJ and Smitty get jiggy with it deep.

How about coaching him and the O in a pro scheme? Pretty much like:Don’t coach don’t throw interceptions. That’s not coaching. Have expectations for each play of what’s to be expected and why the whole O anticipates.

What’s it take to perfect and master an O scheme? Is it ever actually mastered even…or do you just move to the levels of adjusting, adapting and tweaking things best for our specific personnel?

Looks to me like it’s very obviously going to come down us needing what we haven’t  done. We should have been sliding this stuff in during the Browns game and every chance we got since.
Do we play to not lose against the Panthers? Or do we strive for our team to reach a higher ceiling and versatility options before we are just forced to try and figure out in the most difficult moment. Maybe it will just work…like it’s drawn up in the paper(screen). At this level of football though…more likely they need to actually figure out the details …possibly adapt some of these plays to maximize them. You know…just a thought in case football ever doesn’t play out like the chalkboard has things.

So what leads to interceptions? Players not being on the same page, players just going through the generic motions instead of the very detailed nuisances work that produces that extra inch that makes all the difference, players not prepared to adjust on the fly according to opponent playcall, Rb, TE Oline not on the same page about blocking assignments in all the many varying scenarios…. just the basic when you’ve run a play enough you automatically read situations….like a certain S moves in a direction…could be something that immediatly keys the opening on that play.

Fear of turnovers actually stunting the needed growth. Break some eggs. Make some mistakes. But figure things out. Why cap our ceiling? Is an interception against the Panthers the priority to focus on? Or is learning, growing and even adapting that play to be at its best by seasons end the priority?

Identify weaknesses but also especially in the passing game you need to have plays that get things going. You also should be thinking about setting up plays for later in the game.

Yes...you need a QB that can identify the coverage, find the open guy and make the throw.

I’m not buying the huge support part. But hopefully he’s at least worked out squashing the beef some. I don’t see us as winning without Hurts at all. He comes through with some crucial plays that absolutely makes a difference.

It's a lot of people doing a lot of lying if the team doesn't support him.   No reason for Fletcher Cox and Jason Kekce to go into intimate detail about all the specific reasons they feel Siri is a good coach.

The only negative issue I think was addressed in the offseason when they basically told the QB to grow up!

If they fire Zac Taylor I’m adding him to the list for sure. Better O mind than we currently have.

Idk.. I don't think it's a lock that Moore leaves.  Think he will be back as OC next year.

So now you are latching Siri on to Stoutland’s job?
Hurts brought his friend AJ here..been obviously working with him on another level. Like how last season AJ breaks the record for consecutive games over 125 yards receiving. AJ deserves huge credit. But somehow you are blinded by Hurts Hating so much…. I just don’t even think you see that to do that somebody is getting him the ball.

Smitty I really just laying down as a great draft pick. He was very polished becoming a pro. Just has kept improving the whole time. He’s being fed the ball also…very nicely for a second WR.

We just see the world differently.  Hurts is your everything.  He is my QB for 3 more years...then I'll move on. He isn't my GM, my coach, my leader or anything else.   I don't give him credit for things he didn't do.

I clearly stated the trade with the Saints would only be worth it if we got a top ten pick out of it. Always even highlighting Jalen Carter.
And obviously our 4 win team Rosie bankrupted us on left no chance to pay anybody the next season. Just had to be Hurts time!

Imagine being a Dallas fan when Jerry bankrupts the team EVERY year.

Or…follow me here…think about all I’ve stated about how Siri has skipped coaching and developing with our franchise QB. Do I need to detail it all back out for the …whatever-ith time? You are basing so much on that Hurts has been stuck with Siri. All extensive evidence points towards only seeing growth and improvement when the OC has a heavier hand in things. Been stuck in Siri’s nonPro(that’s really putting it nicely) scheme. Siri has been in charge of making the decisions on what time can be devoted on what.

Or ....your franchise QB just isn't going to develop.  Regardless of who coaches him.  His basic fundamentals for reading defenses are just brutal.. very smart to keep him in his lane. Surround him with stud players and let him have his nice little career.

No Mas was. I’m not as old as you…don’t take naps hardly ever. Don’t even sleep much at all.

I mentioned Barkley " developing "   I simply mentioned he is having his best season here  Same as AJ... all the other guys making pro bowls.

It sucks the QB can't seem to get better but you can't get blood from a stone.  He is fine managing the game.

It's a great time to be a fan here.  Watching a team where we have our draft picks dominating the game.

Much different than that 2022 team where we had all the guys we knew were leaving.  On top of our core 4 getting old ( Kelce , Cox, Lane and Graham) we had guys like Reddick,  Hargrave,  Sanders, Bradberry, Epps, LBs we knew were going to leave... not really guys we invested in to be Eagles.

Now we get to watch guys we know will be here for years to come, guys we invested in.   Seeing them develop and improve each week.  It's a beautiful thing watching Carter, Dean, DeJean, Q etc. Knowing the offensive guys are going to play together for years.... Jurgens stepping in to replace Kelce. Just great foundation to build on. Youth and not too much missing compared to other years when we knew a lot of changes were needed.

We resign Becton and Baun... really just need depth and that other CB spot locked up. I'd still love to add a DL to the mix. Hargrave or Jernigan type that got to benefit from Cox getting double teamed... we could use that next to Carter.  Make the D scary.

OK I missed that post then my bad. All Bark needed to do was learn the terminology

You didn't miss anything...just Ham pulling his CNN stuff taking everything out of context.

Telling you right now you’re both missing it. Understood something like The Collapse was coming last season. Easily inevitable and predictable with Siri and his approach.

The tough teams were at the back end of the schedule... wasn't a tough prediction seeing losses there.

You think Detroit finishes 16-1?

Would it be a collapse if they lose 3 games here?

But I’m sure this will all work out for the Hurts Haters. Especially well for No Mas trying to cling to Siri is a good HC. Just keep Siri holding us back. Siri’s short term only decisions and thinking really have already done so much damage.
Talk about The Bronze Standard No Mas…that’s Siri’s ceiling…if he’s carried there. His choices make sure the future is behind schedule …criminally. Now after such a track record it should be obvious…Siri was way in over his head as a first year HC hired here. He had strong assistants at least. He just skipped…or massively underrated coaching and developing longer term…than the next game.

I'm not clinging to anything....my point is the team us winning and the young players are developing while the elite vets are playing their best.  The vibe around the team is fun.

I can't be obsessed or upset that my QB is what he is.  I've accepted that a while ago.  He is doing the same stuff as 2022...when I said he was a product of what was around him. It works... if the hero ball has stopped and he keeps taking care of the ball... maybe this year he won't fumble away the ball in the Superbowl and we win.

A young team is 10-2...coming off two excellent road wins....playing the next 4 out of 5 at home and going to be favored in every game.

Developing each week.

How bad does your life have to be to complain at this point in time?

You need the whole O to be on the same page with the coaches expectations on the play based on the opponents playcall. But also you are ignoring that everybody has some plays to get them going.

All this actually is referring to executing a scheme. All players need to read the D. Then an actual scheme run by an actual coach has a rhyme and reasoning for how things should be done…based on knowledgeable football history wisdoms.
Not sure how everybody plays QB. But it isn’t just some like you and FL simplify it to seem to be. You just don’t drop back and see the whole field and every player. You have a play. You read the D playcall. That should lead to an exact prioritization of the reads for targets. That’s all set in place by the scheme. This is what coach expects. All this is somethIng didn’t exist under Siri.
Then you have field vision making the reads based on what you are seeing. The more you run a play and grow comfortable with it the more you see. Any defender moving in a certain way could be the key….actually that more than see the open guy mentality. NFL…gotta anticipate your throws most of the time. All that put together is how you show field vision.

Very different from looking down from the luxury skybox on the field.

So is it making too much out of this move to assume they picked him up thinking about a specific upcoming matchup? I could see three remaining games a decent FB could be utilized.

I'm really not sure. Goal Line and short yardage (brotherly shove) situations?
