Hurts is 3 games in???? I would expect that from a QB tot,not a 6 year pro

You stated Moore couldn’t get Hurts and our entire O mastered within three games. Which shouldn’t be any surprise to anybody.

BTW when the O LINE gives you 7 seconds from 11 yards out,you better damn well make that throw, that TD was on the O line. Carry on

If they weren’t rushing hard what were they doing? Could it be they were dropped back heavy in pass coverage? Nah…couldn’t be…that wouldn’t fit your Hurts Hating agenda.

Wow,  Shady very uncharacteristically tough on Hurts, usually one of his biggest Homer stans.  I think a lot of people overreacting... a missed extra point and Barkley decision to slide...and we score 30.

Going to be a totally different experience for the Rams going against our OL and our 20 passes vs Minnesota's great O mind wanting to pass the ball a lot.

Not to mention the weather and a hostile crowd.

Conversation at my fantasy draft.. one guy has been season ticket holder since the 80s... played college ball.... we were talking QBs.  One guy started naming guys ( the idea we would win more with them than with Hurts) ... Burrow,  Allen,Mahomes..them he said Lamar....

Both me and the dude who knows football, said we prefer Hurts over Lamar.

Reason is Hurts is much better managing the game.  When he came up as a rookie he was good at it, all the way up until he got paid.  They put him back in that style and he hasn't lost yet.

I trust him more taking care of the ball and not losing a game.  To me its not an insult... I think Montana and Brady were the best game managers I've seen.

20 games ...2023 and first 4 of this year... was when Hurts did things differently, now that he is back to himself we have a shot.   Sure he could miss a read or a throw...but I'll take my chances with this version of him all day long compared to a Lamar.

I would add Drew Brees and Manning to those other 2 as game managers. And besides game managers all four had arms

GB,

This is showing how Hurts and the passing game improved as he got the rust off.   Sure some hesitation, a couple mistakes and a few throws  little off.  But he took care of the ball and then got to producing.

Really it should only get better.  It's playoffs now, you don't get bonus points for style,  all that matters is the win.

We win...then it's either the rematch with Washington... or showdown with Detroit.

One of Allen or Lamar will end their season... it's my favorite weekend in football coming up!

Well I am also fine with Hurts as a game manager. That will not institute the "Moore offense",but I think Siri told Moore that Hurts is not going to get this(executing it) so let's go BACK to what he CAN do. I think Moore tried to push the envelope and it failed. The only thing that bothers me some, is no one is afraid of the deep ball now. Even if it's a wasted down with an overthrow we should do it just to keep the D's honest as now we face the best ones in the league(besides ours). If we don't they will be coming after Hurts much more and Hurts really does tend to PANIC when he can't stand in the pocket. He needs to learn how to sidestep and state in the pocket instead of taking off. When he runs east and west he is awful

Nah….just because Kelce could handle the job didn’t mean there wasn’t a need to coach our QB with all these areas. Feels like exactly what the Hurts Haters complain about to me. Whose job was it to coach our franchise QB….if not the coaches? You don’t like that he’s a bit behind pretty much exactly in all the areas that revolve around what Kelce was doing for us.

How did we function when he was concussed? Hurts stated outright(as I keep showing you) that Kelce was stunting his growth, wish proves he already understood what Kelce was doing. Not rocket science here

It’s funny really because those stats in the second half don’t really show the flow of the game… And yet as Sirianni pointed out in the second half Hurts led us on drives that ended in points when we really needed the offense to step up.

So far it's been easy because we play with leads. Which means you lean on the running game to get time off the clock and keep the opponents O off the field. Now we face teams that can actually SCORE,so IMO we're going to have to use the pass more. We know Bark can explode on any play, but if we get down 14 at the 1/2 we can't rely on that running game as much. I just personally would like to see a bit more mix. If teams aren't afraid of the deep ball(because we have not shown that lately) it just makes Hurts job tougher. It ws nice to see Dotson get a score. That whole play was our fab O line!!!! The Goedert TD was all Goederts 12 yards worth of stiff arms LOL. We need to keep AJ more involved instead of 1 target for 10 yards

You labeled Hurts as one read and take off and run.  Instead he held his ground and patiently delivered the TD. Exactly what we needed as I see it.

Not hard to be a QB when your O line gives you 7 seconds to throw. ANY QB worth a damn will kill you if you allow that. It gave Hurts time to go through 6 reads. Kudos to Dotson for seeing the play breaking down and scrambling to give Hurts a window

All of camp and pre season as well. Hurts led the league in picks. Pretty obvious he was't grasping Moores offense. Siri wasn't about to lose to the lowly Browns and he stopped the BS 1/2 way through that game. No picks from then on after making Hurts a game manager. Really easy to see and when the win streak started. It's fine that Hurts is a game manager, but lets not pretend Moore and Siri didn't give Hurts a chance to learn and progress. He just couldn't do it. The saving grace is we have the BEST supporting cast in the league. Very difficult to fail. If Siri had continued TRYING to get Hurts to LEARN I'm sure he would still lead the league in picks. He had a good start to that. I'm fine with a game manager QB because that also worked for BOTH BU QB's. We could literally put any of the 3 in and be fine. It's a nice "plug and play". KISS

List all the plays this year where Hurts had 7 seconds to throw(I'll wait) From the 11 aren't they all in coverage anyhow? From that distance where else could they be except in coverage?

Bark is overly humble. Once he beats you enough he lets you go. The game was already won. He could have taken that to the house. But game in hand a little less tread off those tires. I think it was more insulting to them to slide. "I had you for another 6,but I'm just going to let you ponder that today" HAHAHAHA. Seems he is having a great time here and enjoying himself rather than be a cold "record breaker" type. I'm thrilled that he loves it here and that he gives us a SB shot and we give HIM one as well. Easily an MVP candidate and IMO the very best RB in the league, even better than Henry. he never would have gotten anywhere with the gnats

Had Barkley ran for a TD and pulled a hammy in the process everyone would be saying how stupid  and selfish he is

I expect alot of coverage sacks from us vs them. In the GB game Kroft was the biggest PITA for us. Like to see just a FEW more 12 personnel with both TE's vs Rams

I don't think anyone who is there day to day needs to be told anything...they see what works and what doesn't.

How about this....we had the #1 defense without a CB getting an interception all regular season!

What are the odds?

Simmons projects best as a multi-positional starter with significant upside. The violence and athleticism he showcases on film will certainly benefit him at the next level; the determining factor will be his ability to enhance his hand technique and create consistency with his strikes.
