But I can understand that just not everybody is equipped to strive for more than The Bronze Standard. Just don’t even think to start whining when you get what you’ve been asking for.

Hurts never has won before. Excellent point, NOT!

When he led the league in picks it was dicey,we had to win in spite of him. Now that we took control away we have been winning ever since. Gotta love this supporting cast that makes Hurts look good

What have I been asking for? You are captain Bronze, like Hurts yard statue you have. Your bar was always so low LOL

AR just outcoached Gannon to ridiculous levels. So yeah…all Mahomes had to do was dial things back and take the easy wide open completions AR just kept dialing up. Gannon had our D playing so soft just time and time again….that’s all Mahomes had to do was complete short wide open passes all game.

Don’t think our O has been giving repeated endless wide open short passes for Hurts. So not quite sure the comparisons. So Cam snapping the ball early when he was being tapped by Becton to snap it…reflects how on Hurts? Dickerson getting owned by Slaton so quickly Hurts couldn’t finish his throw, reflects how on Hurts?

Again, lets not call 2 reverse motions some great coaching .. the point is, you manage the game as a QB you always give your team a chance to win.  Then it comes down to making the key plays at the right times.   You have said this about Hurts the whole time... so I don't understand why you aren't puffing your chest and saying " see I told you so, he doesn't need the stats, when it comes time to make a play, he makes it."

Remember the Giants game when Hurts was really pathetic, but you kept saying " I'm impressed as he took his team down at the end with a chance to win the game, and whoever it was dropped a pass"     well... instead of Hurts playing really bad, he is playing pretty decent... which isn't too much to expect, so instead of having to hope for a miracle to win the game. We have been ahead and in most cases multiple scores ahead with him playing fairly mediocre, but then making a play when he needs to.

It's totally the opposite of " Siri relying too much on Hurts"

It's Hurts using all his teammates around him... and then making his play when he needs to.

Has led to a perfect record while lighting up the scoreboard with him in from start to finish.

Haven't been to the Linc since 2008.... no plans to go except for road games

I would get into a fight if I walked 3 miles and someone spilled my $13.00 beer LOL

And 2 games without him, as the QB spot is like plug and play now. Gotta love that supporting cast

Are the points we put up week 6, there you go again because it’s exactly what you are using as your metric, meaning we are at our best this postseason? That’s really just all I’ve been questioning. I preferred we take some more chances. A bit more risk to grow our team as close to their ceiling as possible…instead of dialing things back playing it safe to not lose week 6.

What is this obsession about week 6?   I was using the entire season?  We are lighting up the  scoreboard doing it this way.   Week 6 was the worst of all... but wasn't the Cleveland D supposed to be the best in the league this year??

I agree though we are so much better when Hurts is calm instead of trying to win games all by himself. I see us moving on after this week too!!! I think we face the Ravens in the SB(please anyone but KC, who wins games because of Mahomes whining to the refs )

That was the week Siri took the game away from Hurts and made him a game manager(at the half). We won that game becuse of it and have been winning ever since

I stated before the season I had strong beliefs in how far we could install and develop in Moore’s O would determine this squads ceiling. Still feel that way.

Did you have strong beliefs that we would be scoring this much even with Hurts out...and it took a defensive collapse of 22 points in one quarter for us to lose at the end??   Where a dropped pass from Smith would have won the game... where we scored 33 points anyway???

I swear, you are just looking to find things to complain about... you can't complain about the record, the amount of points we score, the time of possession, the defensive rank....you have to invest " Style points"  or some " grasping the offense, growth in the system political sounding stuff"    It's hilarioius

The team wins

The team increases the amount of points it scores

The team lowers the amount of points it gives up

The team lowers it's mistakes... increases time of possession.... the QB rating is through the roof.    I just don't get it?

There is some kind of imaginary ceiling. IDK what that is,but apparently we haven't reached it yet. Winning isn't enough for some people. We have to strive for some unknown

GOD NO!!!!! That would require winning 1 game per week!!!! We should be planning for the 2025 season!!! Can't allow that "big picture" to escape. I'm glad Detroit worked all year and went "all in" to get here but we didn't 🤣

Detroit was ahead of us. The situation we always needed to deal with if you actually had any inkling of a plan to make it to New Orleans at the end.

The Eagles were 2.5-point road favorites in the first meeting between these two teams and they're now 6-point home favorites in the rematch.

The Rams are fresh off an impressive win against the Vikings, but how much can we chalk that win up to a poor performance by a regressing Minnesota squad? The Rams metrics this season haven't been extremely impressive. They rank 15th in EPA per play, 23rd in opponent EPA per play, and 19th in Net Yards per Play. Meanwhile, the Eagles are sixth, third, and fourth in those three respective categories.

The biggest thing to watch for is whether or not the Rams can slow down Saquon Barkley. The Eagles offense lives and dies by the run game with 49.25% of their offensive yards gained coming on the ground, the most in the NFL by almost 4%. Barkley hammered the Rams in the first game, rushing for 255 yards. Los Angeles will need to find some way to slow him down and if they don't, the Eagles are going to run away with another victory.

Hopefully Washington knocks them off. But the odds have been extremely high we had to go through Detroit all along. They sure haven’t diminished.

How about we play the best players? Why do we need to start moving rookies in in post season unless there are injuries? OH I forgot the "big picture". Forget they could fail and get toasted in the playoffs and lose the game for us. My bad

Guess you completely missed injuries are involved. Dean is out. Pay attention.

Bring it!!!! To be the best you gotta beat the best

That’s just all I’ve been talking about. Did we get our team the most ready to beat Detroit? That’s been my issue with the short sighted one step thinking approach.

Next man up,rookie or not,but there is no reason to play rookies if they aren't the best option

Eagles injury update: A.J. Brown misses practice to start week

Eagles receiver A.J. Brown missed practice to start the week as the Eagles manage his knee injury in the playoffs.

By Dave Zangaro • Published 14 mins ago • Updated 14 mins ago

Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown was not at practice on Wednesday as the Eagles began to prepare to host the Rams in the divisional round.

Last week, the Eagles managed Brown and his knee injury throughout the week and it seems likely they’ll do the same thing in the second round of the playoffs.

Brown was limited last Wednesday, DNP on Thursday and full on Friday. He first popped up on the injury report with that knee injury on Dec. 19 and it doesn’t seem like it’s going away. For the Eagles, it’s about managing it and getting Brown as healthy as possible for game day.

Against the Packers in the wild-card round win, Brown had just 1 catch on 3 targets for 10 yards but said afterward that his knee felt fine.

While Brown wasn’t at practice at the Linc on Wednesday, several other key starters were out there as spectators. Jordan Mailata, Cam Jurgens and Saquon Barkley were in attendance but not participating. The Eagles will release their injury report later in the day but it’s not uncommon for the Eagles to get some extra rest early in the week.

Meanwhile, receiver DeVonta Smith was practicing on Wednesday. That’s a good sign after he was sidelined last Friday with back tightness. While Smith played in the game on Sunday, he was held out for precautionary reasons on the final day of practice last week. He apparently made it through the game fine.

Rookie offensive lineman Trevor Keegan also returned to practice on Wednesday after missing last week with an illness.

NFL

The Eagles brought back linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the practice squad on Tuesday and he took the field on Wednesday wearing No. 43. New practice squad receiver Elijah Cooks wore No. 85.

News: 21 hours agoThe Eagles signed Cooks to their practice squad Tuesday.

Spin: Cooks spent most of the season with Jacksonville's practice squad and got elevated twice, compiling 10 offensive snaps and four special-teams snaps without recording any other stats during the two contests. He'll now provide Philadelphia with wide-receiver depth as part of the organization's practice squad. In related moves, the Eagles signed wideout Parris Campbell from their practice squad to their active roster and cut receiver Joseph Ngata from their practice squad.
