Except for why the Eagles and Atlanta were investigated for tampering...lol

You aren’t correct on this subject. I stated tampering is a way of business for all 32 teams. You flat out and plainly even finally agreed.

What page were those quotes on you try to dig up about nothing? Oh yeah…who cares

Right the page # doesn't matter...the concept of why a team violated a rule and got fined....does

I think I might have stated tampering has occurred all my life at one point. I’d have been wrong there if o did. You want to look it up for an easy win for you…don’t have the page number. FA hasn’t been around all my life….so clearly hasn’t occurred all my life. Not even sure I did say that…but believe I might have.

LOL...you it's funny you can't admit the " tampering"  both Philly and Atlanta were investigated about had nothing to do with contacting agents prior to " legal tampering " it was all about direct contact with Cousins and Barkley.

You got butt hurt because you thought I was attacking your balls to be sucked buddy,  Rosie. When in fact I just really had the attitude I don’t see any problems with any of it. Get caught they dock a pick…all that really is relevant. League was investigating. I relayed that news along with the fact…”we could lose a pick”

Thanks for digging up a quote about nothing…proving nothing. The sad part was one day….ONE day after you dig up a ten month old post….you deliberately changed the wording of my quoted post to try and fit your agenda. You had just quoted "we might” from ten months earlier to one day later into "we will”

All I really said was everybody tampers…big deal

See...you still obsess about tampering being before a deadline... that will never get proven because recording conversations isn't legal.

They all know that happens and the league doesn't care...just don't disclose numbers until the tampering period starts.

But you still can't contact a player directly until the league year starts.

Cousins spoke to an Atlanta trainer.   There was no way Howie was going to contact Barkley directly...being the anal rule followed knowing all the technicalities.

We can agree he doesn't always pick the right people... but we should also be able to agree the guy knows all the rules.

Not your boy is evil cheating by tampering…or anything so vicious. I appreciate so much of what Rosie does for our franchise myself. I just don’t gobble everything up from him. Form my own opinions.

I was explaining what the violation was... you simply were not wanting to understand the concept...and why it would mean that Howie was an idiot.  Nothing about how good a GM he is..but a blatant idiot for calling Barkley directly for no reason.

The NFL found out ATL tampered massively with the biggest FA and several others. They lost what? A fifth round pick. La Di da

tamper tamper tamper away…if that’s the punishment when you tell on yourself even

No...but you have to admit... to " tamper " in the NFL....you have to be a complete idiot.

They let you talk to agents ...ANY TIME. All you have to do is not report specific numbers until the legal tampering period starts.

" Chicago is driving up the # and Philly is out"  right on Hard Knocks....the whole world seeing on TV that the league knows discussions are going on before the legal " tampering " period

Again...just an awful term to describe the period because it isn't tampering.

So 32 teams don't tamper...according to NFL definition of tampering.   They care about contact between parties that are not allowed to have contact.  Communication must be done through a 3rd party.

I stated the rule. Made it clear with proof how everybody breaks the rules tampering. You trying to make some more specific point within in that..you find as this massive ordeal that’s so very important. I never said it was legal to talk to a player that has an agent. You’re arguing with yourself. Over really nothing. League investigated us …argue with them. Wasn’t me.

Cousins called a trainer....after the legal tampering period and after it was announced he was going there...but before the league year started.

Wasn't Atlanta massively tampering...lol

What you really are meaning is: to get in trouble tampering. I just keep over and over telling you everybody tampers. You even agreed.

Ham...in a 55 mph zone...the rule states you can't drive 56 mph.

How many times you see people get pulled over for going 56?

Same principle with the " legal period " talk with the agent any time.... but don't disclose the teems until the legal period starts...this way you can say negotiations didn't start until it was legal.  Even though it's obvious they did.

There’s your misunderstanding

Was the league investigating us for tampering? I’ll answer for you, yes.

Could they take a pick if they found us guilty? I’ll answer for you again, yes.

Seems simple to me

I look at the NFL as not even a very straight up way of operating business frankly. How can you punish guys that weren’t found guilty for crimes? On and on…millions of examples that wouldn’t fly in most of corporate America.

I agree that teams talk to the agents all the time.. we disagree that it's tampering. I'm saying it's legal

I'm saying they confuse you and others people...most people...because they use the term tampering in " legal tampering period "  they should call it " legal announcement period"  then it correctly implies that they don't care about the negotiating... just keep it between team and agent

Why do they do it? Optics mostly. They weren’t found guilty…but the league punished them anyway.

The league was investigating if anyone from the Eagles spoke directly with Barkley...before the league year started..  not if any communication between the Eagles and Barkley’s agent occurred prior to the legal tampering period started.

They just created that rule a bit over a decade ago…the ‘legal tampering period.’
Before they had tgat period allowed players were still having negotiating with all 32 teams agreeing on their contracts by the first minute of free agency. Laughable. Everybody was breaking the rules. So they crafted a new rule to at least make it plausible  teams were following  the rules.

They could only have found us guilty if the Eagles were completely stupid and spoke directly to Barkley

Which would mean the GM who has signed the most free agents than any other current GM completely forgot or disregarded a rule for absolutely ZERO advantage.

I just don’t see that happening... that's common sense.

So like I just stated…if a player gets accused of a crime. Doesn’t get found guilty. Can and does the league punish players over the optics?
