We had easy schedule in 2022.... our rankings were a little skewed. Beating CMC and Daniel Jones to get to the SB... compared to Love, Stafford and Daniels. Not to mention the much tougher and legit regular season schedule this year. Our secondary with the rookies compared to Maddox and Bradberry. Jordan Davis played awful as a rookie... we didn't have Carter. Barkley is way better than what Gainwell was (our best RB that day) ... this OL is better. Plus the X factor... we have been waiting to get back here for 2 years... not " OMG we have an MVP QB and so happy just to be here" approach. Mailata was on the radio today and admitted there is a revenge factor. Much different than 2 years ago. Only similarity is they still have the QB that pulls rabbits out of the hat at the end of games. Off script big plays at the righ ttime. That hasn't changed. Plus a top if not the best DC.

Same with the offense... as seen Sunday For me... a key element was a rushing play outside of Barkley or the Hurts keeper... we saw 4 plays... technically 2 of them were passes to Smith (same effect as a handoff) and the hand off to Goedert. With those plays, the defense cannot key on Barkley, with someone ready for the Hurts keeper. That 3rd element opened up some hesitation from the defense... this is perfect going into a game vs Spags... a guy who likes to blitz. The more we make him have to consider threats going both East and West... the less effective his blitzes should be. We give Hurts all this to work with... he should have AJ one on one all day long.
