wow... imagine idolizing a poster on a board from a decade ago that brought zero football knowledge except clever nicknames and insults?

Yeah I’m not an idolize type…even as much as I do have an imagination…that ones going to be tough for me. I don’t even ask for autographs from players.

See somewhere in all that, No Mas, you brought up legacy. Maybe slightly inadvertently…but however….Lane very much has witnessed Jason Peters career. Recognized how a guy that could have gone down as the greatest T ever maybe tarnished his career by continuing on. I just don’t think us Eagles fans hold Peters in the same regard.

Yeah... Peters needed the paycheck.... Lane is still the best RT in football.   With 2 years left... I agree that I doubt Lane will just " Hang on" in 2027 or later ... he will still be having to play at the level he is now.   We agree on that.   We just disagree that he will F#$k over the Eagles now.. and completely change the original plans after a season where he is coming out more healthy than the previous ones.

I think there is a good part of the fanbase that likes to pretend they have Howie's job.... a little too in love with " the next draft"  etc.  " Thinking too far ahead..etc."   For me, I'm going to enjoy the best RT in football for the next few years.  Not going to worry about who is next at RT in 2027 or beyond.

BG you can just tell still has that hunger…he wants to get at it and continue playing. Lane and Slay maybe been feeling their mortality a bit more. Or more just gotta question whether they want to go through the struggle and battle anymore. They both still can play ball. Want to play ball. But the commitment of what it takes is staring them dead in the face right about now. Both just been grinding through injury to finish this season and perform at a high level. That’s the part right there.    Plus They both very easily could just decide they’d rather be capable of walking at a much more advanced age. Feel like Slay and Lane kind of taken care of their financials enough to not have to base the decision so much on that. That’s why we were more than happy to throw that money at Lane to try and incentivize a return. Did the same with Kelce. Kelce though…was already launching massive revenue streams outside of football.

What has Lane said to give you any impression he will retire?   Other than when your mind wanders into " Maybe they will activate McKee on the active roster so he can take the QB sneak in the first half"  type of left field thinking?   show me one thing?

Again... THE ENTIRE NFL WOULD NOT PAY REDDICK!    IT'S NOT "ROSIE"

Dude was a problem ... they got him off the team.

Nobody could work with his agent…whom clearly stunk. As soon as he fired him …boom contract amended and agreed to and back at with the jets. Rosie wasn’t going to pay him the big dough regardless. Adding in a bad agent isn’t helping work out deals. Won’t be long before we see if anybody adds Reddick in FA. They will. He’ll get a nice payday…but won’t be what it originally could have maybe worked out if he had a better agent. Is what it is

So obvious that Rosie made sure to control and manipulate the whole situation. Somehow got real personal for our GM. Which isn’t good business. So he wouldn’t really trade him…except to his boy he mentored Douglas GM with the Jets. Heck we witnessed how it fairly obviously played out. Rosie laid out the whole playbook on how Douglas was going to need to handle the whole situation. Ooopppsss….Rosie forgot to mention the part where Douglas was getting fired. Oh well

Lane isn’t healthy right now. He’s been battling some injuries toughing it out. Sounds like his knee isn’t in real good shape right now.

Yeah I do tend to consider all possible scenarios

Cox ended on a high note. Especially great having him mentor Jalen Carter…priceless! Pretty much what I believed you were preaching here. Jason Peters was the example I’d have thought you searched for.

The point is we wanted to get younger and we did,now we need to keep it that way

Great News!!

Now I feel even more confident about the Eagles' chances.

I will say it again, I think KC is running into a buzz saw LOL. We are underdogs because "well I don't bet against KC". NP, I will and I will take your money too LOL. We were supposed to lose EVERY step of the way. We didn't beat DC, we embarrassed them(and it could have been worse). GB-GONE. OH we'll lose to the Rams-try again HAHAHAHA Bring it!!!! We will beat KC AND the refs. It has to be overwhelming. Mahomes will feel the pain. Great QB but he will see coverage sacks all day

??????  BOOM Contract amended?    He lost money?   What " contract amended" ??????

READ THE 3RD LINK .... Reddick didn't fire his agent... they fired him!!!!    Look at his new deal, all incentives that he didn't reach...

Boy you are clueless on this whole situation!!!!   Same with tampering and why we had no shot to get penalized.

what if it rains during the Superbowl?

I'm just being like Ham and looking at all possible scenarios.

It’s a balance. Never exactly sure where and who you draw the lines on..and when. Being old, capped out and sucking…clearly wish to steer clear of that whole scenario.

Was looking into LB Nick Bolton’s pass coverage numbers. He wasn’t strong in that area this season. I’d say to a level of even targeting him there.

He's a run stopper and pass rusher

Don't underestimate him. I watch him almost every week. He passes the eye test

So many ways to look at things. Are we going all in on repeating next season? Looking at trying to be the franchise that actually pulls off the Three-Peat? That could involve some very different decision making than a rebuilding future roster.

Even the less probable. I do find it interesting how sports can just provide such endless amounts of all these things. Some wild scenarios do actually happen in sports.

Cox retired on his own.   So did Kelce ... I don't think we force Lane out.

GB, I'm thinking of trying out for the Eagles... see if I can play next week.   So many wild scenarios... you just have to look at all these possibilities

He's a little small, they have him at 5"11? I think a TE would be able to win that battle

How about we win this first one first? You know 1 week at a time that failed so badly this season with a suck HC
