I like watching their full game tapes if you can find them. I want to see the good and bad. Like Jah Joyner. I'm from Minnesota so I have watched him. You have to remember with Big 10 DE they play 90% running teams so stats and highlight reels don't always speak the truth with players.

Yeah once I kind of find a guy I like then I try and find a full game film. Helps if you can find a few potential draftees all playing in a single game.

See I don’t get sucked into the mock drafting crap too much. I more browse big boards and positional rankings. Really my main thing is reading the scouting reports and watching the film. Which yeah…I’ll admit…usually begins…sometimes even ends in highlight reels.

What I meant is I don’t get sucked into every single media outlets mock drafts. They are kind of fun to play around with yourself.

If I was a GM I’d be having tons of computer simulations mock drafting scenarios to assist formulating my plan. I actually assume our organization actually has some real sick software going to handle all this stuff. All loaded with neutrals current personnel…to pump out theoretical moves in FA and the draft.
What did they say the organization was valued at? Over 8 billion.

Look at this A+ on like all the guys were a round behind their normal draft positioning Screenshot_20250305_210748_Chrome.thumb.jpg.3d7e72a00911f96313c2b80f3bf3a108.jpg

Chargers released Bosa

All 32 teams each worth billions…I assume there is big time corporate espionage going on, spying…hacking…I’m protecting everything like it’s a blueprint to our newest submarine. Assuming these other teams will go to most any lengths to circumvent our secrets and intentions. Heck when you really look at things…we might just be the ones doing it the best to the others.
What would you do for a billion dollars?

Could see Niners scooping him up affordably.

Last draft I never believed Q would fall to us…but he was such a small school prospect. But stuff happens every year

True but after the combine he solidified himself as a top 15 pick I think.

Do you guys believe we should retain Milton, Sweat or Becton? Not only got to pay them…but you’re essentially trading for them because you’d be losing a 2026 compensatory draft pick.

I would def like to keep Williams and Becton. Sweat too, but I don't know if we can afford him.

GreenbleedinNC does.

That’s what I call looking over the complete landscape and making a plan. Ranking things out and having A, B,C …options.

You better have more than just A, B, C... and you better be able to adapt along the way.

The issue stems from I always assumed illegal tampering has been occurring with every team…really don’t care…other than don’t want it to cost us a pick. You just thought it was me taking a shot at Rosie. Being that I’ve always witnessed everybody has operated this way…I expect we gotta compete….which means do what everybody else is doing. So just isn’t a big deal at all to me.

Yes... every team talks to agents.. but the investigation was about talking directly to Barkley.   That's why it was a shot at Howie...because it would be an idiot move to talk to the player, and Howie isn't new to signing free agents.   I knew there was no shot at giving up a pick...the investigation was just for show... they delayed any ruling to make it look like a thorough investigation.  You check 2 cell phones do a couple 10 minute interviews and it's done.  They knew they had Cousins  because he admitted talking to the trainer.  To appease the league they took their time.

But yeah... if anyone thought Howie was stupid enough to talk directly to Barkley at this point in his career... that's pretty much a shot at him.

I was trying to explain it but you just couldn't get this idea that it was about contact before the legal tampering period and not just direct contact with Barkley.

Idk... I would have to get a better feel of what each would cost .

I think Sweat is gone.  The other two would be priority because they are younger.

Williams would be tough because you would have to assume that Carter is going to get top money at that position...do they invest that much in DT?  Plus Ojomo should have a bigger role going forward.

Becton,  they drafted Steen...but 3rd round, not bad investment for 4 years of cheap depth.

They will get comp picks for Gainwell and if Rodgers is a UFA,they will get one for him too.

So they have more than just the big 3 that are left.  And I don't think it's that big of a deal if they get a 4th round... which would be in the 130s... they would sign one if they want him badly enough,  and just get a 6th round comp pick instead of a 4th.

You should write a movie about it...lol.

I think teams rank their own players... I'm sure they look at team needs , interviews and have discussions with agents to get a feel of what other teams might do.

Idk about " hacking" lol.

I’m saying there are several options I like at Edge there. just don’t know about Sawyer more I look into him. Doesn’t have the bend or elite skills to jump off. Short arms too. He’s not my guy.

That's fine, but he is FAR from a day3 pick FAR. He has a non stop motor,he will bust every play and give you 60 minutes. I would be fine adding him to the stable. Maybe he can do DE/OLB. We can change up lot of looks. Excellent versatility. You also complained about some of our Oline having T rex arms, but that seems to have worked out pretty well. 1 inch isn't going to make or break anything with proper coaching

SC
  • Below average get-off at the snap limits his ability to stress tackles around the edge – often last one moving on the defensive line
  • Lacks elite bend and ankle flexion to consistently turn tight corners – has to win with power or through direct lines
  • Hand timing in pass rush can be erratic – allows offensive linemen to land first punch too frequently
  • Change of direction limitations show up when countering back inside – spin move lacks the explosiveness to threaten NFL tackles
  • Despite good testing numbers, functional athleticism appears closer to average – may struggle to win with speed at next level

I can post from whatever site also. Once again he is NOT GOING day3, Now post the pluses from the same site not just your agenda

You don’t think there is corporate  espionage taking place between billion dollar companies?

You both are in denial there is a main master plan being formulated each offseason. You both just think we wing it one player at a time in a vacuum it appears. Just obvious they go to much bigger lengths than the average fantasy football fan does each offseason.

I posted links comparing both players… full write up…the good and the bad. Not sure how you missed that. He does have a great nonstop motor. I agree with that.

2026 HOU 2nd         Nice Houston round 2 pick up as a kicker for 2026. Traded totally out of round 1

"Reed being around me and a lot of veterans before, I'm sure he could lead that group the right way," Slay said. "That's who I feel would be leading the group if I ain't in the building. He's a great damn leader. If they brought another veteran in who has played a lot, they could be a leader. But for sure, if I'm not in that room, Reed Blankenship will be a great one."
